New bugs discovered after the Critical Error was disabled

For several weeks now I have been experiencing 'critical error' messages and I am constantly getting kicked out of the game, which is getting very frustrating to say the least. This morning I was kicked out of several different battles 4 times in an hour due to this message. The game is almost becoming un-playable. Why is this occurring more often now?

Because recently they've disabled critical errors. This doesn't mean that the errors will not occur anymore though, the intent was that you wouldn't be kicked from the server anymore. You can find the patch information about it here.

Within the past few days, I've been experiencing very bad lag (fps: 0... ping: 80 to 100 and both fluctuating), grainy graphics, sometimes on side of a building or ramp will be all black, Critical errors, Flash Player crashes (at least 3 per hour).

What I've done: (1)...cleared all caches. (2)...cleared browser. (3)...Switched from Firefox to Edge to Chrome. (4)...checked for updates on drivers, browsers, flash player, Windows, and everything else I could think of. (5)...Increased global settings. (6)...Went into Tanki settings and made sure everything was disabled except in Game I have damage, drop zones, chat, notifications, background sound checked. In Graphics I have fps and ping checked. These are the only items I ever checked. (7)...Turned acceleration on and off (made no difference). (8)...Called my Cable Provider three times to have my equipment checked from their end. Everything is within acceptable parameters. (9)...Ran a full systems scan with my Antivirus twice. Clean as a whistle. (10)...Ran the troubleshooter (no issues). (11)...Deleted un-needed temp files.

I had a computer with Windows 7 and upgraded to Windows 10 a few months after it came out. I had a lot of issues with TO, especially with fps and ping. I got rid of that computer and got a new gaming computer with twice the RAM and 1TB of hard drive and gaming graphics cards. I never had a problem playing TO with this new computer. Now, suddenly, I'm having the same issues I had on the old computer plus grainy graphics and black holes. I've had this new computer for 4 months. Since there hasn't been any problems playing TO with the new computer (until now), I shouldn't have to download the Stand alone player, nor download the Client. I'm still playing other massive multiplayer games without any issues, without any changes in game play.

Critical error doesn't seem to be disabled. I've had it happena few times towards the end of battles

Were you kicked from the battle when those errors occurred to you?

Could you try using the Standalone Flash Player and check if that improves the situation?

As I said above, in the past 4 months, I've had no issues at all playing TO. The problems started a few days ago. Since I've had no issues I don't understand why I should download Standalone Flash Player. I have to latest version of Flash on all my browsers. I had the problems before I updated Flash and still have the problems.

I suggested it to you because you already tried a lot of things to improve the situation that didn't work. The Standalone Flash Player rarely gives me any troubles, it's quick to download and it's one of the most efficient ways to run Tanki. Of course you don't have to try it, and it might very well not solve your problems, but I'd say it's worth a shot.

This is really absurd... if you've done all of these checks of your system and they check out fine, then this issue isn't particularly easy one and perhaps has very serious ambiguity from either your side with flash player OR tanki's side to you, but the latter is unlikely.

The grainy graphics, 0 FPS and unusual PING fluctuations are usual "symptoms"/indications of disabled shockwave plugin; these can sometimes occur when you load a page but your browser doesn't read the "heavy" files on that page so, specifically talking about flash player content, it will not run the "shockwave" plugin which in turn causes all sorts of issues.

Open a tab and log in to your TO account, Go to your browser's plugin settings(about://plugins or something of the like, whichever opens up plugin settings) and check if "shockwave" plugin is enabled or not. If it's disabled, enable it and refresh your TO tab or relaunch the browser.

Good suggestion. I checked shockwave, it is enabled. I went to Adobe to check version. I have 25.0.0.148 which is the latest update and saw the animation they said to watch for.

Since this is recent and you don't think it has anything to do with the latest TO update, then maybe I should take my computer to the Computer Emergency Room and have it checked out. I've done all I can think of from my end.

I see others have had "Critical Errors"  and Flash crashing, too.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll keep working on it.

There's a glitch with Magnum where the power bar will sometimes keep charging even after I let go of Spacebar and I have to tap Spacebar again to get it to stop, which causes me to overshoot.

Another problem is that any shots that hit the enemy after you die don't cause any damage. For example, say you're in a Thunder duel and you're both 3 shots from dying. You both get 2 shots on each other at the same time, but when it's time for the 3rd shot, the enemy kills you but your shot doesn't cause any damage to them at all despite the fact that I saw the Thunder explosion hit their tank. This happens A LOT when I'm using Thunder and it's really annoying.

1. Make sure Mip-mapping is enabled in the game settings.

2. Make sure your graphic drivers are up-to-date.

3. Make sure hardware acceleration is turned ON.

4. Can you see the Automatic graphics quality option in game settings?

5. Please capture and provide a screenshot while playing a battle.

The first one is a problem indeed, the second one not so much.

What happens in a case like this is a typical case of lag. Because it takes time to get the data from your end through the server to the other player (and vice versa), it looks as if you shot before you got destroyed. In reality, you got destroyed before you could fire the shot. This just wasn't visible on your screen because it takes a little time to get the shot from your opponent to what you see on your screen, while your own actions are directly visible for you. Your opponent never saw you shoot, on that screen, you were destroyed before you could fire another shot.

Heres what I encounter:

When my tank spawns, I go and start to kill other tanks. However, every once in a while, my m1 vulcan deals zero damage to any enemy I am shooting at. Then, quite puzzled, I self-destruct. The problem is then solved, but not before screwing an excellent KD ratio. I know this bug isn't as bad as others, but please look into this issue.

Today i logged in my account from 2 servers  ( ru2 and ru17 ) from the same account. I was expecting to get the Server Connection Closed. But i didn't get that so i tried joining 2 different battles at the same time and it actually worked.

Wey there fellow tankers!  ^_^

Hey, wanna hear a secret?

So apparently when you receive an "error occurred" notification during a battle, but the match is almost over and you do not want to lose your share of the battle fund, you can just not click on "restart": ignore the error message and instead just sit there.

The battle ends and the final leaderboard shows up, you get your crystals, you click on "exit" and exit the battle, the error message goes away like nothing happened and everything is just fine, and you did not even have to restart the entire page/program/client.  ;)

... At least this is what I figured out yesterday. I hope it works for you.

Yes, i have noticed this some days ago. Like 'refusing to exit the battle' lol.

And  today i have noticed a glitch in friend list. i saw half of my clan mates online in EN1. So i tried to invite them, it says ''your friend is entering the game' but they are actually offline. When i entered another server and checked my friend list they were all offline.
