Everything but mission change is good. How in the world are we supposed to get 100k xp in a non-pro battle when there are very few amount of non-pro battles in a server? Finish first and collecting supplies are going to be so much harder now.

Well, it's been what?  12 hours?  And already Tanki has 25 pages of people saying what a STUPID idea the missions change is.

 

Will Tanki get a clue and REVERSE THE CHANGE IMMEDIATELY?

 

No.

 

Because whoever is making these decisions is clueless.

I can think of lots of things the devs could do to improve the game.

More maps.

More kits.

A mission reward that lets you have TIME OFF from missions without losing the extra reward for continuity.

Automated super tank options for pro games - that show up at random and can't be destroyed by less than a half dozen players acting together.

Maps with different goals - like assault.

An option to rotate supply drops to RANDOM locations.

With magnum, it's really tough to see what you're hitting on long shots - how about a recon drone?

 

Instead, Tanki has landed on one of the dumbest changes I've even heard proposed - the new "no pro battle mission" feature.

 

It SUCKS Tanki.

Please don't freak out. If devs see that the mission update is negative for the game they'll fix it.

 

This update has very good stuff in it for me to see bad intention in the part of devs. Think of it as a mistake and not as a punishment.

 

This could get very very good if they add a no supply filter for regular and pro battles, or a supply setting with supply powers halved, or a reduction in price of PRO Battles passes.

 

Or like I said before, they could bring back missions to PRO Battle by removing missions like Finish 1st, cap flags and points. Instead they could add more experience missions.

 

Be patient. I'm pretty sure they want Tanki to do well too.

Tanki, why the hell do you guys always tamper with things that aren't broken? For god's sake you haven't even tackled your biggest problem which is lag that can easily be fixed by upgrading your data centers and I'm sure you can get them easily with the amount of money you guys have been making from these special paint money ploys and regular packs.

What on earth would make you guys (the devs) think this is a good idea? Do you all not have any proper foresight? You guys just messed up a number of things you are too blind to see. One HUGE example would be SUPER MISSIONS; you have ruined XP, non-drug battles, full drug battles, etc. if a person has this type of mission.... -_-

 

P.S: Spread this around if you want them to see it..

At this point I'm pretty sure devs will do something about the missions. Either revert it back to how it was or do something different to compensate. I mean, this update clearly caused an outrage!

There's a rather simple solution to all this. Just add another type of battle that's only partially customisable, where missions would count. Let's call it "Enthusiast" battles, which would be possible to create if you have an "Enthusiast pass" for half the price of the PRO pass (which I will call "Professional pass", for consistency).  So, you'd be able to create the battle, select the map (only from a number of large ones (so no Islands or Duels) select the format, disable supplies and that's it. No crazy settings like 1 flag limit, so fully abuse-proof.[/background]
 
So what we end up with is a slightly more complicated, but a totally fair system:
 
"Standard" battles:

  • Free to enter
  • Created by the server when players press the Battle! button.
  • Cannot be created manually
  • Standard battle settings, no customisation
  • Can be entered via the Battle! button
  • Daily missions count

"Enthusiast" battles

  • Entry for owners of the "Enthusiast pass" or "Professional pass", which costs, say, 2500 crystals for Legends.
  • Can be manually created by owners of either pass
  • Standard length (15 min)
  • Supplies can be disabled
  • Format can be selected (probably with exception of parkour mode)
  • No other settings - no custom number of players/flags/kills/points/time, no private battle option, etc.
  • Can be entered via the Battle! button, but only for Enthusiast battles that have settings identical to Standard battles.
  • Daily missions count

"Professional" battles (currently named "PRO")

  • Entry for owners of the "Professional pass", which costs 5000 for Legends.
  • Can be manually created by owners of the Professional pass
  • Fully customisable settings, just like PRO battles now
  • Cannot be entered via the Battle! button
  • Daily missions do NOT count.

A lot of online services use this kind of system, where you get the very basics for free, but more expensive subscriptions give you advanced options, so this isn't something crazy and purely experimental. This would completely eliminate the problem of not being able to do missions in battles you like (XP/BP, no supplies, etc.).

that's beside the point... they SHOULDNT need to FIX ANYTHING if it wasn't broken they messed with perfectly fine a feature and made new, BIG problems, such a prosperous game company..

This is a good idea, but as someone who is still very unsatisfied with the fact that we can no longer complete missions in PRO battles, I think they should at least make exceptions for super missions. I'm sorry, but for the majority of the community, which is non-buyers, it's just too difficult to consistently 1) Want to play battles where you're always getting creamed by other players and 2) Actually succeed in such battles. If you're a Generalissimo or Legend and you get a 10k kills or 100k experience mission, I think it should be fair to make those able to complete in PRO battles.

Yes there are:

 

Idea 1 - Bringing Missions back to PRO Battles, but remove missions that are easily abused like Finish 1st, cap flags, cap points, supplies and kills. There should only be experience missions in battles, ctfs, dms, tdms, cps, turret type, hull type, drug battles, non drug battles...

 

Idea 2 - Keep same missions for regular battles, but have a different set for PRO Battles using my Idea 1.

 

All current missions will be active until completed.

 

Win. Win.

 

PS. Nice constructive approach Maf. Now could you please accept my IAS idea I posted a week ago. :)
