I had a 10 flag mission. Went to Esplanade CTF with my Rail-Hornet. Players were fighting for the flag like crazy. Also sabotaged the flag carrier. Some players cried for flags all the time.

This is what you want, Tanki? Why not let these poor noobs to finish their missions in Island 1v1? They take away all the fun. I needed 3 games to catch 10 flags, because everyone blocked me and wanted to flip my tank.

Go to RU16 or another tumbleweed server for easy caps ^_^

I was happy. Was. Until, one day, the devs got this wild idea to increase the rank brackets for battles. I can understand. Maybe in the more obscure servers there weren't any battles. Just a couple ranks above should've done it. But no, they had to punish me for not getting my m2s early, and now my original account is virtually unplayable. They increased the rank brackets for me by 3 rank sets. The highest rank I faced before was a major general. Now I'm playing games with legends. In my m1 hornet rail combo. I'm a captain btw. Yeah I know. But I don't have any m2s. I didn't learn what I had to do when I should've. But I know now. I'm saving for a good m2 right now. Halfway there too. But now I can't get any kills. I wonder why. Could be the fact that nearly every single good game is populated by full m3 druggers.

 

So I come to you with a plea. Please, dear Dev reduce the rank brackets. I can't do anything. PLEASE. DEAR DEV PLEASE. I have to play on my low account now. I can't fix the mistake I made on my original If the rank brackets aren't reduced. There were plenty of battles before. Even then I would've suggested that the rank brackets be reduced slightly. But hey, at least now I can make miserable the lives of lower rank tankers. Sounds very well balanced to me. How about you?

Daily Missions

 

Rewards for Daily Missions will be increased by 10%. However, after the update, Daily Mission objectives will only be achievable in non-PRO battles.

 

But that's terrible! More than half the battles for high ranks are pro-battles, and it isn't possible to create a non-pro battle suitable to our needs anymore!

more info released about match making from tanki X . this might help answer questions for players . I know this is from tanki X but it seems to be coming here also so it might help get a little info on how it works..

I just play for my mission and realize that the battle I was playing is pro battle -.-

 

It's impossible to do missions in non pro battles ,at least for me .

Disagree with the first part. Not good.

 

The second part you said, is a good reason Tanki should rethink the Mission controversy.

 

Right now people who have missions have to only be looking the non PRO battle section, and that's counterintuitive.

 

But since they shouldn't allow Finish 1st and Flag missions in Island 1v1s, the only solution is removing those missions.

 

My idea is making all missions be about experience points.

My explanations generally takes lots of time and usually there are not that many people to agree with me. This is why anything you can see in VLOG sounds like bollocks :) Have to cut longer explanations to shorter ones.

 

And I tend not to take part in hellstorm discussions during updates as they are not discussions at all. Emotions, most of the time. My job is not to convince people of anything, this is why my involvement is almost pointless. Most of the time I discuss only upcoming changes otherwise the only thing I achieve is making people more angry. Which is what will probably happen after this comment but oh well.

 

Tanki Online is changing. Modern concepts of convenient gameplay experience demand matchmaking system. It is proven concept and work quite good for new generation of games. Tanki Online stuck in the past in this regard. But moving overnight from current battle list to MM won't be easy and will require some adaptation.

 

The closest case to Tanki Online is Team Fortress in regards of matchmaking update. Previously TF was almost like TO with server list, but they changed it around a year ago. That wasn't easy but it was worth it in the end. Though TF did not removed server list (battle list in regard to TO) entirely. What they did they left it as a custom game option.

 

This is where Tanki Online is going as well.

 

Eventually we will introduce Matchmaking system that will handle rank difference and battle creation just as easy as in Team Fortress or Overwatch. By the push of a button. Current battle list will move to custom game option. You can say that battle list will be only available via pro-battles (they might be free of charge in this case) and will be highly customizable.

 

In this regard this update cons doesn't outweigh the pros. On the contrary this update does work as intended. As there is no intent on my side to encourage players to take part in custom games (which are pro-battles at the moment) to the detriment of normal games. The only reason to play custom games in the future will be the urge for new experience, as these days it is mostly wasp+firebird (you can argue it is not, but I got the numbers).

 

Team Fortress and Overwatch might give you a sneak peek on how this system will work in Tanki Online when implemented. Quick and easy matchmaking is supported by highly customizable custom game list. There is interesting moment to OW as they removed experience gain in custom games shortly after they introduced that option to the game as players quickly found a way to grind EXP with minimal effort by certain game options. Something for you to think about.

 

I believe it might be worth arguing whether we should or shouldn't change the game at all, but this will not work for Tanki as it works for other games there are. This game going to reach 8 years in action this year. Most games update their system by releasing new version and forcing players to migrate to new versions starting from scratch. A bad idea for Tanki Online as we can see it with at least Tanki X's case.

 

Choosing between forcing everybody to grind through the game all over again and forcing to deal with non-easy updates I choose the latter.

please no. Don't add a Matchmaker. I really prefer being able to choose my Battle modes and maps rather than being thrown into a random Battle. Or at least make it separate from the Battle list

Please add a matchmaker... but please, leave the option to chose my battle and my team as it is.

If you then have too less participants to fill up matchmaking fast in high ranks.. then you could use this as "user feedback" :)

In non-pro battle are no maps like Island, Arena, etc.  It was really good time before.. Before this update nearly everybody played pro-battles, there were a lot of possibilities to find suitable mode and map, without MU or drugs.. All players were nearly on the same level.. but now? All are playing drug-battles because of daily missions and everthing is only about using 123 buttons. Its a pitty :-( I spend less time in this game and the same feedback I have got from other players too. It is really no more funny here after this update :-(

Is this what TANKI wanted?

 

It is not a option to decrease the rewards from daily mission and allow to do it in pro-battles? Then is there no problem with game economy because we get smaller reward from missions.

The update is basically an exchange of supplies for crystals (or yet more supplies). To get 50 kills in DM mode I burn through around 20 DD and 10 DA. I definitely wouldn't be able to do this without completing the mission chain each week.

Amsterdamn - experienced player (since 2011) - has THREE QUESTIONS:

 

(1) When are going to promote PRO-BATTLES? I just renewed my PRO-BATTLE PASS ad 5000 Q. What is PRO BATTLE PASS adding?

 

(2) When are you making SEPARATE SERVERS FOR PRO BATTLES?

 

(3) When are you making PRO BATTLE MISSIONS?

Few weeks past after those updates and I never thought its gonna be so bad! Its even worst from nightmares! I was thinking what developers were trying to achieve with those updates......I can't find out...it's a mess

Pro Pass is useless......xp/bp battles dying day after day.......players running away.......no reason to spend money in a game which the parameters and the balance are completely changing so often and so many times.

With the longer brackets it is hard to find appropriate battles and if one creates one with the battle button there are high ranks in all servers waiting to join your battle. And guess what team the third person that joins will go to? the team with the high rank players of course.

After the update we are unable to end mission in pro battles and tanki did that cuz we can end it faster in hornet fire battles so why u make us able to do missions in xp bp only not in whole probattles

I don't mean to join the "worst update ever" crowd, but I'm still pretty salty. Like really, what's the next update? Removing experience earning from all PRO battles entirely? Let's face it, you've made a lot of tankers buy PRO passes to customize battles. And the fact that you left a clear and gaping hole in the Daily Missions system should not be taken out on PRO battles. Please improve the Daily Missions algorithm so farming/exploitation is impossible, or just remove the offending missions entirely. When we saw a hole in the "collect boxes" and "first in battle" missions, we would obviously exploit it instead of having to take them from under the nose of other players in battles who ACTUALLY NEEDED THAT SUPPLY. The gold box one is good enough, but the rest of them...Total crap. Even Mafioso agrees, as seen in this post. I get that you want to eliminate farming, but taking it out on people who depend on PRO battles like me is obviously not the correct way. Not that you'll ever care, but...

I absolutely don't care about daily missions, but I'm bored...

In a game with this kind of economy, the daily missions are seen as a part of a player's income and not completing them feels to many player like throwing away money. I know it might sound weird, but this is psychology. That's why people want so much to be able to complete the daily missions without having to spend much time doing something they don't really want.

So to me it makes more sense to keep only missions that can be completed in pro battles without cheating the system, and to not restrict them to non pro battles only.

 

The whole concept of daily missions is to challenge players to do something in the game instead of just logging in every day for the daily gift without playing, but when you challenge players you have to make sure it's something most players will enjoy doing or will at least not suffer from it, otherwise you push them into doing something they don't like in the game which then results in them liking the game less...

 

[caveat - all of the below is from the perspective of Legend rank]

 

Moreover, when I think about Professional (PRO) versions of anything, I expect an increased level of difficulty requiring a proportionally increased level of mastery. In contrast, Tanki PRO battles are merely a free for all, versions of standard battles with restrictions removed and much more control in the hands of the players. This adds COMPLEXITY not DIFFICULTY. The true rub is that the players in PRO battles are mostly no different than the ones in standard battles. Some games are easy, some are hard.

 

IMO Tanki fixed the wrong thing. Instead of pulling missions from Pro battles, Tanki should have made PRO battles truly professional grade (not my place to say how, Hazel). Missions could then have been split into missions applicable to standard battles and ones applicable to professional ones.

Cause this is what they really are. (change the name in game plz?)

 

 

 

The main factor in battle difficulty is the skill and strength of your opponents versus your team's, not the battle settings.

Custom Battle Pass is affordable to low ranks now too (the lower your rank, the cheaper it is for you) so it's not really a thing of high ranked players even.
