A simple trick that I learned is to go to your control settings and disable Kay access to the supplies that you are low on.

 

For example, if I was low on repair kits, and double armor and double damage. I would make the spaces for those supplies blank. This, would make it so I would have to go to my settings if I wanted to have access to those supplies.

Well, I started out today with 45 2x Shield. I now have 1. RIP M1 Hunter. I could of bought a M2 vulcan or rail or Hornet, but I settled for Rico, and have buyers remorse.  I also bought Magnum m1, and am suffering the learning curve. I do like the new MU system.

You are not expected to complete them "fast". Actually, every day you normally get at least one mission which you can complete fairly easily, like collecting boxes or earning some experience. Such missions can be easily completed without using any of your own supplies, if you do not wish to waste them. On the other hand, things like "finish first 3 times", "catch a gold box", "earn 99999 exp" are not expected to be done in a day, so you can either change them or complete them over a course of some days/weeks/months. As long as you complete one simple mission a day, you still get the weekly chain rewards.

i really hate when admins and devs have excuses for their useless updates.geez

No, you didn't have to. Those were special holiday missions and if you didn't have the time or desire to play that long in normal battles, you should have switched them to something easier. Completing some missions can be hard, but no one is forcing you to do it.

You are punishing the many for the sins of the few.

It's hard to believe the Devs could not reach a little deeper and come up with a better solution.

 

Matchmaking system?  Why did you not wait until that was ready before changing the mission set-ups?

 

I prefer Pro-Battle non-supply games. I do my daily missions there while legitimately playing the battles. Over the course of having fun in battles I was able to also complete my missions. An hour or so per day allowed me to complete.

 

Now, because of this ridiculous change, forcing me to participate in drug battles, I dont have the same fun.

I enter these "normal" battles to collect my boxes. And barely give a thought to the team I joined. So tell me - how is this better?

 

With Legends in pretty much every battle the games are hardly fun. The update has backfired. Big time.

Arround 2014-2015, devs told us that the bracket ranks need to be decreased because there is no sense that m4's play against m1's .. Now, I'm forced to play and be insulted by poor m1's and m2's because I drug against them. I understand them but that's the situation .. I can't complete my missions in xp/bp or any pro battle.

I still can't understand why the time for a M4 was increased from 90 days to 190 days and the speed-ups are now x4 expensive. Again no sense to do this after 8 years and "kill" the new players. Still believe this is a joke. 2.7 Millions crystals for a m4 turret.

So devs, it's time to reveal the truth .. Congrats ! You guys pranked us very well  :ph34r:

I am not confused and I don't think there is a prank. After the introduction of the battle button I lay to rest a couple of my other accounts. Think it is now time for all. Today was the last day I tried to do a mission and there are legend battles everywhere. I have m3 half upgraded to m4 because that was possible in the past. With this account I could still compete a little bit with legend, but not really. Let alone if you have to enter at m2.

 

Gives me a lot of time to do other things again :-)

Everybody is very unhappy with the update. So what I advise is what I am doing: reduce your game time and do not put anymore money into the game. If you wish to do missions, don't waste your drugs. Stand firm and don't use them as Tanki expects you to waste them, you can still complete missions, it will just take that a little longer. As soon as Tanki sees a drop in revenue, drop in players and increase in mults. Then Tanki Management will take notice that players are not happy at all. They will have a choice, let the game die or remove the mission patch.

:angry: I do not agree with the update of the daily missions, since it forces us to fulfill them in battles not Pro, and did not think that there are players that to large maps gives lag thus has updated the system, I use small maps by the lag and I do not favor your decision at all  :angry:

Meh, missions thing is annoying, but the new ridiculous prices in MUs has got me pretty ticked off. But, there is always a reason behind it, I would like to know why. Cedric :P?

My explanations generally takes lots of time and usually there are not that many people to agree with me. This is why anything you can see in VLOG sounds like bollocks :) Have to cut longer explanations to shorter ones.

 

And I tend not to take part in hellstorm discussions during updates as they are not discussions at all. Emotions, most of the time. My job is not to convince people of anything, this is why my involvement is almost pointless. Most of the time I discuss only upcoming changes otherwise the only thing I achieve is making people more angry. Which is what will probably happen after this comment but oh well.

 

Tanki Online is changing. Modern concepts of convenient gameplay experience demand matchmaking system. It is proven concept and work quite good for new generation of games. Tanki Online stuck in the past in this regard. But moving overnight from current battle list to MM won't be easy and will require some adaptation.

 

The closest case to Tanki Online is Team Fortress in regards of matchmaking update. Previously TF was almost like TO with server list, but they changed it around a year ago. That wasn't easy but it was worth it in the end. Though TF did not removed server list (battle list in regard to TO) entirely. What they did they left it as a custom game option.

 

This is where Tanki Online is going as well.

 

Eventually we will introduce Matchmaking system that will handle rank difference and battle creation just as easy as in Team Fortress or Overwatch. By the push of a button. Current battle list will move to custom game option. You can say that battle list will be only available via pro-battles (they might be free of charge in this case) and will be highly customizable.

 

In this regard this update cons doesn't outweigh the pros. On the contrary this update does work as intended. As there is no intent on my side to encourage players to take part in custom games (which are pro-battles at the moment) to the detriment of normal games. The only reason to play custom games in the future will be the urge for new experience, as these days it is mostly wasp+firebird (you can argue it is not, but I got the numbers).

 

Team Fortress and Overwatch might give you a sneak peek on how this system will work in Tanki Online when implemented. Quick and easy matchmaking is supported by highly customizable custom game list. There is interesting moment to OW as they removed experience gain in custom games shortly after they introduced that option to the game as players quickly found a way to grind EXP with minimal effort by certain game options. Something for you to think about.

 

I believe it might be worth arguing whether we should or shouldn't change the game at all, but this will not work for Tanki as it works for other games there are. This game going to reach 8 years in action this year. Most games update their system by releasing new version and forcing players to migrate to new versions starting from scratch. A bad idea for Tanki Online as we can see it with at least Tanki X's case.

 

Choosing between forcing everybody to grind through the game all over again and forcing to deal with non-easy updates I choose the latter.

It's right to get developed, but in the correct spots - like new Modes, Maps, Features.

 

NOT - to change the current mechanism of playing style - it's number 1 ruin game rule.

 

Players that play 8 years in this game (it's applied also for who play 2 years +) just get used to the game they way it is.

 

Of course updates are necessery but not those who change the game upside down.

 

Tanki online has a lot of lags issues, when you gonna take care of that? servers are crashing every day, if you didn't has this SERVER UPDATE every day the game surely would had collapsed.

 

And of course no word from you about the change on the Speed up. You just increased it by x4, And you said you didn't change the price.

 

So, this is not "EMOTIONS" this are "FACTS", Hazel.

Ok, here is my solution:

 

Hazel mentioned the problem with Island 1v1 & Wasp-Firebirds (super mission). These are unacceptable for me as well. But playing Pro battles and finishing missions there are an important part of the game for many tankers.

 

In my opinion finishing missions in Pro battles should be allowed but we can make certain limits to avoid "cheating".

 

Look at the current mission types:

Earn XP (gamemode)/destroy enemies: I don't think there is a difference between pro and regular battles. Except the Island Fire-Wasp abuse of course, which gives a huge advantage especially for super missions.

Collect boxes: Not much difference either. You can collect boxes on any map.

Finish first: That's obviously much easier in a 1v1 pro battle, as you will be first 100%.

Capture points: I believe this is not a hard mission both in pro and regular battles. Can be done in one battle on a bigger map with lots of points.

Capture flags: Another problematic mission. 1v1 Island CTF, and you're done in minutes, while it can be hard in regular battles.

 

How to fix these problems while allowing players to complete missions in Pro battles?

 

There should be certain type of pro battles where you can play missions:

 

The number of allowed players must be at least 8 (4/team). There goes the Island Fire-Wasp and 1v1 problems. You cannot finish missions on Island anymore and also cannot make a Sandbox 1v1 or something similar to catch flags and finish first easily. You have to fight for it.

 

Time limit (if there is one) must be at least 15 minutes. You can't finish missions in 1 minute battles (finish first particularly).

 

Flag limit must be at least 10, point limit at least 100, kill limit in TDM at least 100, kill limit in DM at least 25. No 1 kill or 1 flag battles to finish missions in seconds.

 

You can create battles with 1 kill or 1 flag for fun, just finish your missions elsewhere.

 

I want to ask the players and staff members if they like my idea. Any feedback is welcome. I know this compromise solution isn't perfect either, but I believe it's much more fair to all players.

Instead of making Missions have to be completed in Normal Battles, how about making them avalisble again to PRO battles, but with some restrictions:

-Missions cannot be completed in Private battles

-Missions must be completed in a battle WITH a timer.

-Missions must be completed in a battle with a timer of 15 minutes or more

-Missions must be completed in a battle where each team has more than 1 player.

Thank you for the explanation but I would like to point out that at the moment it's incredibly difficult at the moment to compete with M4 legends using tons of supplies in every battle. Moreover I don't think a captain is capable of competing with a legend (which is why I appreciate the update where the gaps between M0-M4 modifications were reduced).

Now most players are required to spend more in supplies than the reward they would get from completing missions.

To solve this, I believe you could either think of a way to balance non pro battles because the ugly truth is that they're nowhere near balanced.OR you modify missions in such a manner that they can't be abused in pro settings. Some players have suggested some methods to achieve this but I believe you would have a better idea on how to do this.

So if you could come up with a good solution to this pronlem, that would be beneficial for all.

As of now, the vast majority feels that this game is a pay2win and it's pretty evident on the battlefield. This also hurts this game's reputation on steam which I'm sure you're aware of and it's not great anyways.

Would be nice to get an explanation from you on this problem.

There is really no point in arguing, im pretty sure they just look at your reply without acknowledging it, look at how many times we have complained to them about other issues yet they dont seem to fix them, unless it somehow affects the "buyers" who play

Let's hope this is not true. I don't remember any updates which were 95% hated like this one. Let's hope devvelopers have common sense and care about their players. It affects everyone, both buyers and non-buyers.

We know they won't reverse it, from Hazel's own words. But a compromise is possible.

 

Or just nerf the damn drugs.
