Fully MU'd tank means you get ANY tank Discounted

Recommended Posts

So we've all seen the new MU update. This means that almost no players will have un-upgraded tanks, except the ones that plan on changing their combo.  For example:

1. The Titan-Smoky M2 player, who wants to buy Titan-Smoky M3. He has two options:

           A) Wait and save up for "Guardian" kit at Lt. General, which means he cannot spend any crystals on MUs.

B ) Upgrade his M2s fully to M3s, which means he has to wait two more ranks (to Marshal) before getting his M3s. But he'll already basically have M3s (his M2s are stealth M3s) so it won't matter.

Obviously for this player there is no point in buying the kit, unless he really likes the module and the paint as well.

But what about this player?

2. The hornet-hammer M2 player, who wants to have Viking-Twins M3.    She can:

         A)   Upgrade Hammer and hornet fully, and try to get Viking-Twins on sale. This is not possible unless she is a buyer.

B ) Save up for "Master of the Taiga" kit.

         C) Save up for Viking and Twins at Marshal.

However, the two options (B and C) means she has to play many ranks with a significantly weaker combo, as I've already explain her opponents will be upgrading their equipment.

I think this system punishes the players who want to change their combo, or did not make the best choice when buying M2s.

So what I'm suggesting is that when you have a combo fully upgraded, she gets a 75% discount on any M3 tank and any M3 turret. This discount disappears for the turrets when you buy a turret, and likewise with the hulls.

Declined

Sorry, but it doesn't make sense to discount something else if you upgrade one item. And don't forget that we don't accept ideas for discounts.

Yes, it does. The economy is balanced in a way that lets you comfortably upgrade a single combination of turret+hull+module throughout your career. And you can start buying new tanks once you reach Legend rank where there is no pressure to upgrade your current tank before you rank. If you want to try different gameplay before that, there's alterations, but if you want a completely different item, you're likely gonna have to invest real money or end up struggling a bit. This is intentional.

So you're basically wanting to give players that didn't plan very well the easy way out for free?

Well, the devs did that, and it was abused by players and ruined game economy. Which was why they removed any additional discounts from kits apart from the original offer

Besides, not being able to buy the kit that you want doesn't mean that it's the end of the world.

Personally, I saved more crystals and work if I buy the items separately than buying the kits, because I buy the items during the sales, I don't buy the same paints as the kits offer, and I don't buy the modules that the kits offer.

And no, I don't plan on buying any m3 kits because I will buy the items separately when I get to marshal, when I have enough crystals. Till then, I'm free to save up to collect more m2s :P

No, I want people to be able to change their equipment combo. It's not an "easy way" out, because you still pay more for only one combo. And it's not for free.

It has nothing to do with good or bad planning. Everyone here knows that players get bored of one combo, and it's characteristics change. For example, hornet-rail may be good in standard battles at M1, but at M3 the player may need to change to Viking-rail due to the changing characteristics of hornet rendering it too light and fast.

If I was in charge of Tanki I would not turn away players that want to change their combo merely because they bought a certain M1 combo several years ago.

Just tell them not to buy any product kits then, and it should work out for them
