Numpad controls

Got a new HP laptop. Arrow keys are small and tank controls are limited due to ghosting so can't use weapons which require holding down the spacebar. Using numpad keys can solve the problem but, numpad keys have other functions assigned.

I want to use 1, 5, 2, 3 on numpad instead of arrow keys.

But those keys have diff functions assigned to them which doesnt allow me to use them. For example, 1 has "end" assigned to it so on the controls page, whenever I press 1 to replace Up key control, it simply goes to the bottom of the page. Is there anyway to solve this? On the supply controls, the alternate for 123456 are numpad numbers. Is there a way to input numpad keys instead of arrow keys so that it doesnt scroll down or smth like that?

try doing it using osk

 

ctrl+r

osk.exe

 

then enable numpad and do it on osk, it should work fine later

Well I got the "NumLock" on, pressed 5,3,2,1 and it works fine for me. I substituted all the Numpad functions, like the PgUP and PgDN, with A and S, respectively. I disabled all supplies which can be activated by the Numpad, and use the other 1-6 keys instead. And now it does work fine for me. I hope it does work for you? :unsure:

There's no 'Numlock' key on your keyboard?

Another option, that works for me to avoid ghosting, is to use WASD to control your tank and B and N to turn your turret.

It would make difficult to use space bar. I think he don't use mouse.

I know you have no ghosting issues, but AutoHotkey might get you a solution if no other methods work.

You can press space bar with your left or right thumb or with your right index finger.

 

 

Left ring finger: A, Q, Tab, 1.

Left middle finger: W, S, 2, 3.

Left index finger: D, E, 4, 5, F, R.

Left thumb: V

Right index finger: Space bar.

Right middle finger: B.

Right ring finger: N.
