Screen recorder+Editor for Mac?

Hello,

 

I would like to try and start a YouTube channel, but I have a Mac.. 

 

Anyone know any good screen recorders that won't drastically lower my FPS and aren't ridiculously expensive?

 

My computer specs are: 

2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

My files sizes are way lower with this rather than using Fraps, and more reliable on my end.

The following 5 are not that expensive compared to many other recorders so it is better to check each of them first before you decide anything and they are perfect for your PC/Laptop. I think you can run them without having any problems.

Mac's in-built QuickTime Recorder isn't too shabby. If you'd like to see it, you could check out my channel (Phenom Tanki) or TheThreeWish's channel, who also used QuickTime to record.

 

To edit, I use iMovie but my friend gave me Final Cut Pro X (which is EXTREMELY expensive) but I prefer iMovie due to its simplicity. OBS and Camstasia are really good. If you want a brilliant recorder that doesn't lower FPS at all, use Camstasia, it's amazing however, it suffers one major flaw in the fact that if you record using Camstasia, you also have to edit using it (or at least in the free trial it was like that for me and had a massive watermark).
