Take more or less damage in certain points of the tank

Recommended Posts

Shooting in the edge of the tank deals the same damage as shooting the enemy on their turret, and that's a bit silly. I mean the damage is totally random, wherever you shoot.
Why not make it like this, when you shoot this part, it deals less damage because there's where the armor really is.

And when you shoot these parts, deal more damage.

Of course not only these parts, but this is just the idea. I hope this is a good idea

We had this idea before and I'm going to give a similar answer here. Unlike WoT, the gameplay in Tanki is a lot more dynamic, so there's really no time to stop and aim at a precise spot on a hull. Also, with the exception of Shaft, no other turrets have precise vertical aim, so this feature would depend purely on auto-aim and not the player's skill.

As Mafio said, no. As much as I would love almost any WoT-ish idea in the game, this is not WoT. TO gameplay is far faster than WoT's gameplay, and there's absolutely no time to aim. Plus, auto aim messes up the idea further, as it'd be pretty hard to shoot without it, but with it, aiming at precise points gets messed up, so, sorry, no ;(

I'm not sure if you have played WoT, it actually works same like tanki, totally random, doesn't matter if you shoot the enemy in the back or in the thickest armour

Anyway, what about when you are to the closest position to the enemy deal maximum damage? This seems too easy and dynamic for me

Oh good. I'm not as noob as I thought I was.

Just like maf said, the only turret with percice aiming is the shaft, this would only apply to the shaft then. And how would turrets like firebird deal damage? Would make firebird way to OP

The only point I disagree with you is on the part where you said that "shaft utilizes precision" (I know you didn't literally said that, but to me it sounds like that's what you meant).

Railgun utilizes precision while shaft uses accuracy.

Railgun utilizes precision while shaft uses accuracy.

I have a feeling that one of us is using the word s incorrectly. Anyway, what I mean is that Shaft is the only turret that can choose exactly where to hit yhe enemy tank, while all other turrets only point at the tank and auto-aim chooses the place where the shot will land.

Kinda implemented in TX

Yea, in TX. Hitting the turret with Shaft deals max damage, and for other turrets if you hit the back of the tank you deal significantly more damage than hitting the front. It's kind of realistic, and is hated and loved both by the community.
