Map categories (small, med, big)

Now that all battles are going to be on one single list, this could come in useful. These filters would be on the opposite side to the game mode filters, and would be named "XS" (extra small, such as ping-pong and duel) "S" (small) "M" (medium) "L" (large) "XL" (extra large, such as highways and dusseldorf). Even after the MMS the custom battle list will be rather big, and this would come in useful.

 

Edit: I just realised how important this is. It would reduce the lag from the new battle list dramatically, if you only enabled one or two of these categories.

In how this would help you creating maps? By looking at the size, you can clearly tell if this is a small, medium or big maps. E.g., Sandbox/Island/Farm is a small map, Silence/Polygon a medium one and Kungur/Skyscraper a large one.

Just like for hulls and turrets, Tanki doesn't specifically tell if this is a medium of a heavy hull, but players could guess that.

It would help a lot with the lag from the new battle list.

You could just give the maps a different color for size, in the existing map list.

Was going to say color is only good for looking at a list - won't help with "battle button" when match-making comes back.

 

But then I remembered they want 10 min battles on only large maps with 10vs10, so having map-size-filter would be moot...

 

Devs... we like variety - and not all weapons perform same in all map-sizes.

Stop trying to force 10 vs 10 ... this results in fewer battles on only large maps.

Make the battles 15 minutes for those of us without ADD and allow all map-sizes with a 3-selection filter when MM comes back.
