4 hours of gameplay with current system.

This is almost every third battle(lasted about 4-5 minutes), people just leave when score is 2-0 and no new people are being allocated/joining. I guess this is quite normal, because most of us want to be on winner team due to bigger crystal reward. Can't really give players a penalty for leaving, as they get no crystals anyway ...Lower their ratings? Nobody really cares about that anyway as it can be boosted.

 

With old list type of battles it was easier for people who were looking for challenge and didn't care about winning/loosing/crystals. I am one of those, I always choose loosing side as turning battle around is fun!

 

So yea, most battles ended up being 8 vs 12 - this is exactly like playing with mults!

Without the proper matching tool and without a better reward for the losing side, the current state of affair of every battle is awful. People leaves when they think that their team is not going well (about 3 to 5 minutes after start, or after a gold box drop), then random people joined the losing side, but they do not stay long either and finally the battle finishes early with 4-7 people left. Also once a battle is finished and you want to try a new map, you are sent back to the map you just left.

Implementing stuff bit by bit is not the best way to proceed, everything is misplaced and dis-harmonized.

 

I hope this unplanned 2 days of the partial MM system will be made to good used and learning will be used to improve it. Reward for losing team needs to be revamped.

I'm terrified of the matchmaking system

 

I just played a game on desert cp battle. Our teams were locked even. Then we had a lead.

 

Then it happened.

 

We started losing.

 

Players were leaving.

 

The system didn't give us new players.

 

It was a perfectly good game.

 

Now, maybe players weren't selecting "play cp battles".

 

They couldn't SEE that there was a game IN progress. 

 

It was 20-11 for us. Then it was 15-15. Then before I knew it, we were losing 54=10 or something ridiculous. 

 

What does the server just give up trying to fill our games? 

 

In the end, 10 min of my life wasted is meh. 

 

But I am fully confident that had there been people to see that game happening... our team would have filled back up.

 

And the other thing, if it had filled which I think for at imd we were getting one or two.. what if it just gives us BAD players? low ranks?

 

Gah, I'm terrified to see what matchmaking will do to this game. I'm just terrified. 

Here's the real kick to the nuts; Until the game you were in ends, it WILL try to send you back into it.
