Declined Profile: display how much money we spent in the game

The idea is simple. Display on profiles how many money a player spent in the game. With an ON/OFF button in the settings window.

 

Of course, the settings would be OFF by default, so ashamed buyers have nothing to fear.

 

Some of you may think this is a useless feature. But not me. I'm kinda disappointed to see some players calling me a hardcore buyer just because I have full M3 garage and a half dozen M4, when in fact I barely spent 10€ in the game, for 2 bundles.

 

With the ON/OFF button, everybody would be free to choose to show it on profile or not.

Although this is a cool idea (especially with the chance to turn it off), but questions about money + time of the spendings are needed to verify the real owner of an account, if he was hacked or phished. Or even if you lost the credentials of your email account associated with Tanki.. by knowing your spending history you can get the account back or your email changed.

 

This better keeps secret, to have a last resort to fall back to authenticate the real users.

Else everyone could track your profile over some months and then claim to be the account owner.

What if the amount of zeros don't fit on ones screen? I'm considered for those "very specific" players.

Devs don't seem to want to add a way to hide specific items from your profile.

My opinion. They want the Profile to be a general page with game-related information about the player that others might find interesting to know. They don't want to add anything important that the player might want to hide and so they don't want to overcomplicate the system by adding settings to hide particular elements of the profile.

Very interesting idea. I really wish this could get implemented. People are always saying that I buy on my alt. Though it's funny, I'd rather not be seen as a buyer. Unfortunately, Maf makes strong and valid points.

Meh - if you're a buyer then live with the stigma.

 

Its easy enough to work out if someone buys & drugs or if they collect and use whats free.

 

This suggestion has no real value.
