The 15 seconds rule

 Share

Recommended Posts

As you know, there is a 15 seconds rule to end the game if one of the teams have insufficient members. However, how the hell are we supposed to play 4 against 7 in a capture the flag or capture points game?

very very frustrating :(

^ In addition to that you can just invite some of your friends or wait for more people to join the battle.

They said that they improved and reworked on it and for now this is how it works. Before I start explaining how it works, just wanted to point out that it also works for DM battles. In this case, it will get triggered when there’s only one player left in the battle.

If the winning team has twice as many players as the losing team, or more, the standard timer will be replaced by a special one with less time on it. Once this special timer runs out, the battle will end.

If the number of players in the losing team returns to being more than 50% of the opponent's, the early termination is cancelled and the battle continues as usual.

Example: The system will get triggered in a battle where a team of 10 tankers is beating a team of 5 or less tankers. If the losing team gets a 6th player, the early battle termination will be cancelled. So 4 against 7 is kinda ''fine'' I guess as the system gets triggered when it is 10 vs 5.

If you have any ideas for it or you want it to be improved in a way than I suggest you to go and post your ideas on the Ideas and Suggestions section as mentioned above but before you do make sure you read the section rules in there.

That reason you mentioned why it is frustrating, is exactly the reason why this system was introduced. It was done so that the team with majority does not slaughter the minority team. It only ends your suffering faster, saving you some time to go and find a better match to play.

Yes, but what he's complaining about is the fact that the system does NOT get triggered in a 4v7 match, which is obviously already very unfair and usually hopeless.

if its a 5v10, and the team of 5 seems to be winning, will the timer be triggered then too?

Let me copy Maf's answer for you, don't ask why I'm lazy  :P

the timer starts when:
- One of the teams has 2x fewer players or less
- The smaller team is losing
- Around 10 seconds passed since the above two conditions were met

So since the smaller team is not losing and they are winning, I would say it won't start.

I have been in battles where my team despite having less players, is winning. (Supplies FTW) Still the timer is triggered. Edited by newrohan

In that case, there is still a possibility of players joining. But when it goes beyond half (that is the current system) then nobody wants to risk their time in that battle and thus nobody joins. Well at least that is what I do when scrolling through battles :p

Interesting, I have seen both as well. I guess the system needs a bit of adjusting or ''improvement''. I like the TX battle system, much better than the current one we have, wonder why but I guess that is another topic.
