More crystals lost in battles than gained

Yep, can't see how it would be any more difficult to find these battles than with my own 2nd.liutenant alt account that I rarely use. Just achieved 3 missions in 4 battles in 13 minutes using this method.

To be fair, the missions were noob....

  • capture 1 flag

  • collect 5 DA

  • Earn 50 crystals in CP

If I had been given a more difficult mission I'd have targetted that one first and then see if I could be bothered achieving the other 2.

 

So started off with the flag mission, flicked through the more obscure EN and RU servers till I found a 2v1 Kolhoz CTF battle on RU17...Got a quick flag and a couple of the DA's I needed...battle ended early. Stuck around for next battle...collected the rest of the DA's against one guy that left after a couple of minutes...battle ended early.

 

Then needed to find a CP battle, joined a Rio CP 2v1 with 5 mins left that was on the same server. Ended up losing the battle cos some noob was in my team that did nothing at all....not to worry, still got most of the crystals I needed.

 

Then needed to find a CP battle with not much time left in battle so I could quickly get the remaining crystals I needed....found a 'year 2042' CP battle on PL1 that had 2 minutes left. Got a couple of kills and points, rewarded me with more than enough for the mission.

 

Used no supplies whatsoever, gained 21 in return and kept mission chain going. Easy.

 

P.s..the planned matchmaking system will probably make doing this much harder.

Today I managed to not do all my missions. It is hard because I like finishing all of them.

 

I also entered battles where there's only player in the other team, but as soon as I entered I heard the flag being captured and then the player left, that happened twice. I also entered battles like you said just to find high rank druggers.

 

PS: You got easy crystal mission, mine were above 200.

PS: You got easy crystal mission, mine were above 200.

You got easy crystal missions, mine was 500 in DM  :P

From what I've heard and what the Deves have said, this match-making system will pretty much what it is now, only that the 'Battle' button will find appropriate battles on ANY server if you are on it or not. So I presume you will still be able to choose battles manually if you wish. It's what I do now. It's much more profitable than the poorly designed 'Battle' button. I doubt it will be like TX's, they will get a lot of hate if it is. :lol:

I don't think we will have option to choose non-pro battles in matchmaking system.

I remember the devs saying that.

Supplies waster !

This is the whole point, to make worthless the over use of supplies. You should use them wisely.

Good luck with getting the cost of supplies lower. They are good as they are. Even if they happen to get lower, you could bet that Rah is going to reduce the time they are used accordingly.

Something to solve this problem would be to double battle funds for ever. The players get 2x the crystals evry battle. And with premium account. They get 4x the normal ammoun of crystals.

How TX works for this?

Press a button, wait for the battle to reach the maximum amount of players, choose a combination and then battle. If you leave early you will be penalised in the form of not being able to go into another battle for around 15 minutes.

 

It will really suck. Not something I would like to see in TO at all. It can be in the moblie version but leave the PC one the same. Or at least keep both options avalible.

No, double funds just encourage more drugging, hence supplies finish faster.

In a way yes, but not directly I guess. Well if they become a daily thing than it won't be as exciting as it is now. But other than that, a good solution to this would be to add the the system a possibility, a 20% chance of making random battles in random maps like now but this time drugs disabled. 20% is quite too much but I don't see any other solution to it so if you are lucky than you will see random battles with random players but this time without drugs hence allowing you to finish your missions without using any drugs.

Now that there are Crystal Missions, which I hope is changed to EXP Missions, they can change the reward ratio, instead of 66-33%, it should be 55-45%.

I like Crystal missions - they encourage battle completion. Regarding EXP, I think Tanki should probably hold that until battles end and award alongside crystals as well.

Not if your on a team getting wrecked (happens A LOT. No balance).

 

Three minutes into the battle you can tell if it is worth-while. 

At that point people start bailing, looking for greener pastures because, as we all know, the reward (crystals) is based mostly on how the team does. When people bail, the team suffers more. Those that remained get very little reward. You think they will stick around next time?

This is a legitimate problem that the Devs are not going to fix IMO.

 

There are 2 solutions to this problem that you can do so you do not lose crystals.

1: play only non pro battles for your missions, and as soon as ONE  mission is completed, either stop playing, or go do a no drugs PRO battle.

2: NEVER play non PRO battles for any reason, and do not complete your missions. If you do this, you have to always play no drug battles.

I have only logged in for long enough to complete one mission each day since update #451. I am still utterly disgusted not only with the update, but with the attitude and conduct of the developers in recent times. in the last few weeks playing 10-15 minutes per day, I still wind up about breaking even on the amount of drugs I have after completing my week 4 mission chain.

You are absolutely right. I've offered plenty of suggestions to balance the fund distribution while giving the winners a slight bonus. Why Tanki does not do this is beyond me.

 

Today you do 2 things.

 

1- join a battle and basically mult until you see if your team can play their way out of a paper bag. Both Tanki and its player base discourage this as it hurts both the game and its players. But the dirty little secrets is this can save you a lot of time if you are a battle hat you just can't win, and of course winning is everything.

 

2-don't join until it's obvious or at least highly likely which team is going to win. You'll spend more time idle on the lobby, but you'll be happier on the battlefield and richer coming off.

 

I know this sounds selfish, but it's the way the game is played. Look at it this way. Playing for a losing team -> you're essentially putting crystals in someone else's garage.

 

Some pros say a better challenge is to join losing teams and turn the tide. Awesome if you can do it but most will fail more than hey succeed.
