Interesting...

 

EDIT 1: That mission idea is very good, don't know about the others. Who came up with that idea? So simple and so effective. 20 more crystals to complete a mission without using a single drug.

 

EDIT 2: After all it looks like this type of mission is a bad idea. read wolverines' comments bellow, he's right. I was winning, that's why it was working for me. This could worsen the drugging problem to the detriment of non buyers.

The update also brings a new type of Daily Mission where you have to earn crystals in battle. Some missions will require you to do so in a specific game mode such as CTF, while others will allow you to do so in whichever mode you wish.

Additionally, following your feedback, the Communicator Panel now remembers the last tab you were using, so you no longer have to switch from News to Chat every time. Of course, we still don’t want you to miss any important news, so if any new alerts come up while you’re away, the Communicator Panel will automatically show you the News window next time you log in.

great news that we now have this no longer annoying news info staying on our page YEA.... only thing you forgot to fix now is the shop picture being too big it covers over the chat room when chatting with a friend wail looking in the shop as your discussing items ..

What the hell. Another damn re-balance update. I hope that M4 turrets and modules will not be too weak.

 

However, I am very impressed with the new type of daily mission and the extra crystals reward for premium account users.

 


I hope that the developers did not go too far on re-balancing turrets and modules, because if they are too weak as M4 modifications, players will complain about them.

 

I will be the first player to complain if one or more turrets or modules are too weak.

 

Just remember that any M4 turret, hull or module MUST be strong. This is why we all micro upgrade all the way to M4.

 


Just now, I have read the "Patch Update #456 - Released 21st April 2017", and I am happy with the re-balance update. I am glad that turrets have been made more powerful, especially at M4 level. For example, Isida M4 was a bit too weak at healing a team mate in battle. Now it can heal fine.

 


There should be a new type of daily mission where players claim experience as a reward. for example, claim 1000 XP points when successfully destroying a certain amount of players in any game mode.

The only thing which concerns me is the daily bonus for Premium users. Right off the bat it looks like you're giving Premium users a bit much. They already get double battle rewards and exp., why this?

I know how the system works. You'll get an increase in crit dmg and a decrease in crit chance. How is this a nerf?w

Well - both my critical percentage went down and my critical damage amount went down.

 

Sounds like a nerf to me.  :blink:

It's good if your team does well or you are near top of losing team.

 

With XP you are almost guaranteed to complete mission no matter how your team fairs.

 

Remains to be seen if tankers in middle of losing team will accumulate crystals or not.

 

LOL. Just read patch notes... so ... you have to finish the battle to count the crystals? what is this... Tanki-X?

If your team is getting ruined you have to sit there and take it in order to collect?  HOLY CRAP!

 

And...

"Bonuses from Premium account and Beginner’s Pass count towards mission progress". 

But - they are not "finishing the battle". So how can it count?

when your on your side and you turn the turret to flip yourself back over . what happens is if the turret is not in the directly straight beside you , you end up taking damage . but if its points straight down then it does no damage . will try and post photo to explain ..

 

 

 

when its diagonal across the tank  then no damage when on your side . ( yes i know these are in the up right position , I only did this so you can see the turrets better )

So new missions are to earn fixed number of crystals in battle.

Big dislike.

 

We will just have to spend more time in non-pro battles, and waste more supplies.

I like the new changes for the most part.  The isida is improved.  I would like it to be stronger, since it can only affect one tank at a time.  Some healing would be nice. 

I would also like to see a change made to the twins.  They are too difficult to combat, especially with power boost.  The twins should be adjusted in a manner similar to the hammer to help balance things out.

I would like to see more changes made to improve chances for the shaft, which many times just gets destroyed by other tanks, before even taking a shot.

On another note, commonly now, the fully upgraded tanks (not necessarily clans or legends) play on the same team and destroy the opposing team, sometimes the same rank, taking away the fun.  Many players end up leaving and/or the battles end early.  I don't know if there is anything that can be done about this.

Smoky needs a buff. Higher damage per shot.

Right now it loses to just about every turret in a 1 vs 1 situation.

 

Rail and thunder have higher damage per shot, so if they trade shots (ie thunder/rail shoots and hides immediately until next reload), smoky loses always.

 

Vulcan and ricochet have faster time to kill than smoky.

On a positive now, hopefully finish first and flag missions will come up less often now with crystal missions.

 

Fingers crossed, they dont ask us to make more than 250 crystals a day in non-pro battles.

It takes me 2 full games sometimes to get 250 crystals.

I never doubted you understand the Smoky system to that extent. I meant are you aware of the fact the "20%" does no tmean "20% for every shot?".

 

Your 1st shot has  20% chance to crit but if it doesn't shot #2 had a 40% chance, then 60%, 80% then 100% on shot #5. But the 1st two shots after a crit hit have a 0% chance to crit hit.  That is the system I meant. I do not know i the progressive ladder remains. I do know that under this system the effect of mooing to 15% from 20% is considerable... and it also makes it hard for th eplayer to mentally track the constamntly changing odds.

 

And players say Smoky is a "noob weapon".  So does Tanki. But they expect Smoky users to constant run a probability table in their heads with the result of every hit changing the calculation. 

 

That is what I meant about the luxury of time. A crit hit fo4es help if you are killed before you can deliver it. While the rest of the game is moving to bigger damage and killing without line of sight Smoky is left with popgun LOS damage. It is a nerf in the sense that the other turrets are getting dealier but smoky isn't.

I just tested some guns and here are my impressions:

 

1) Isida: It seems that the buff is just too strong. The damage buff is remarkable, but the healing buff is even stronger, as my Isida (M3 8/20) got a buff by 50 % while having the same magazine :blink:  But maybe I am just too used to have an Isida that was so weak for quite a time now...

2) Hammer: even with Slugger i sometimes don't get the full damage at an appropriate range (maybe 30-40 m). I am glad that Slugger only got a -5% rotation decrease. I think Slugger is kind of essential for Hammer now.

3) Magnum: the +1 sec charge time seems like a small change, but it has a big impact. I will need a while to get used to the new timing as Magnum is a lot about experience with playing it and you have to look on the numbers more often at the moment. What I can tell is that the precision of the aiming is a lot better now (as long as you watch the numbers and not go by your old experience  :P).

These "upgrades" are nothing more (or less) than attempts to turn every Tanki player into a "buyer".

 

Consider the new daily allotment of supplies for Premium users. In light of the recent "Missions" update (may it rot in hell forever and those who created it develop boils on their private parts), everyone is virtually required to use supplies to compete because "no drug" pro battles cannot be used for missions. So free drugs for Premium players is a HUGE advantage.

 

But wait. It gets better (worse).

 

The new missions introduced all appear to be of the "earn crystals while doing X" variety. Did it escape your notice that Premium players accrue crystals at TWICE the rate of non-Premium players? Score another "advantage" for people who BUY their Tanki wins. And while we're at it, have you noticed that the new kits are only available for PURCHASE? You can't get them in the garage.

 

Tanki has decided to make people pay for their daily "drug" fix, and to punish non-premium players by making them work twice as hard to complete their daily missions after first taking away the only option for a non-drug battle to complete a mission (pro pass).

 

Oh - and while they were trying to manipulate everyone into forking over cash, they introduced a new bug. I'd give details, but Tanki never fixes bugs anyway, so what's the point? You'll encounter it soon enough.

 

Tanki used to be fun. No so much any more.

According to my perspective, weekly V-Logs should be uploaded once per week and must be at least 10 minutes long.

 

V-Logs should now be much more explanative and explain changes and updates to Tanki Online in full details, so that players can better understand changes, updates and development plans. The Patch Update 456 - Video by Hazel-Rah very well explain about those updates and changes.

 

However, I want future videos like the one by Hazel-Rah "Patch Update 456 - Video by Hazel-Rah", to be in English. I do not understand Russian. I am an English speaker, so I want to listen to V-Logs and other videos in English. The English community on Tanki Online also expect to have those types of video. like the one by Hazel-Rah to be explained in the English language.

 

Please do not skip weekly V-Logs. There must be a V-Log once per week on every Friday.

 


I think that I came across a new bug. When I finish a round and quit, the battle menu stays on screen and merge with the garage and or lobby. This bug must be fix as soon as developers can.

With the new Crystal Missions you have to be very careful about picking your battle, because if you lose you'll get very little crystals. Haven't experience losing yet because I was winning with a little drugging. But I'm seeing people abandon battles when they are losing, which will be worse for the losing team.

 

If you're a low rank please don't enter battles of higher ranks because you'll make your team lose. When people see a low rank in one of the teams they'll join the other team.

Another kick in the teeth for us guys who don't have the money.

 

I earn around 50 crystals for an average 15m battle. It now takes me an hour to earn a 200-crystal mission - in some candy-ass Battle-button battle which doesn't suit my tank.

 

And what's the prize?  A few supplies.

 

And now you're giving 2500 crystals for free to premium buyers? Every day! Where's the fairness in that?

I didn't get one point tho, what was that about the change of range of maximum splash radius from 0 to 1 m for Striker and Thunder?

The thing is that, before the update, maximum damage happened literally at a pinpoint. As soon as you started moving outside that pinpoint, the splash damage started getting less. This meant that even if you shot into a wall you were touching, you still wouldn't receive maximum splash damage. Now splash damage remains maximum for 1m outside the point of impact.

And how is it bad that a business is trying to offer more value to its market in order to get more paying customers? We're not forcing anyone to buy; we can't do that. But we will always try our best to give our players more value and incentives to spend money in the game, because this is a business, and it requires money to function! No money? No Tanki!

 

You can moan all you want about how important non-buyers are to the game. The truth is that even though non-buyers are important, they alone cannot keep the game alive on their own. The more money the game makes, the more we can re-invest in the game to make it better. Honestly, do you think the game would've survived for 7 years if buyers hadn't been buying, and the team had remained with just 3 members?

 

You don't want to buy Premium or crystals? Fine! Not a problem. But stop trying to shame people who want to buy, and stop trying to shame a company for wanting to provide more value to its players to get them to spend more money. THAT is what businesses do.

The point of the V-LOG isn't to go into extensive detail. Additionally, there isn't always material for a 10min V-LOG. The V-LOG will be as long as it needs to be.

It's not a kick in the teeth for people with no money. Premium users are spending money in this game so we are rewarding them. As a non-buyer, you still get the full functionality of the game, and you still earn crystals. You just don't earn them as quickly as people who are spending money to support the game.

 

It's perfectly fine to be a non-buyer. But please don't complain about buyers getting something that you didn't get. It's like complaining to an airline for giving more benefits to First Class passengers than to Economy Class passengers. Except in this case, you're not even paying for economy class. We're letting you fly for free.
