If you take a look at Google Trends' statistics about this game, you'll notice a spike in Dec. 2014 and subsequently a decline until now. I can't figure out what might have caused that. Maybe it was caused by the reworked maps, including the removal of the secret places in some battles, although that was in Jan. 2014, but since the reworking of maps especially Silence became much easier for druggers.

I think the Tanki staff should consider rolling it back (its in update 220). Or bringing Silence I and Silence II back and calling the current one Silence III. Many players including me would love it. Thank you for reading.

It's not bad updates causing this game to become less popular, but instead it the simple fact that the game is outdated and its target audience has moved to similar but more modern games. Nothing can be done about this - the game will keep losing players regardless of how many "good" or "bad" updates developers release.

I don't think removing 1 map from the game causes players to quit.

Excessive supplies usage by other players, multing, sabotage, and the lag is more likely to make players leave.

Lag especially.

Each new update just makes it worse.

The huge cause for this is supplies. I score 500 in 15 minutes in pro battles but can hardly reach 200 in non-pro battles.

The other thing is you have to wait a long time to buy  new items and this long wait exhausts players. I personally waited for 2 months before I got my first M2 and I am not new player. Just imagined that. There is not much to do in Tanki except buying new equipment. I mean just imagined that, you log in and play few sandbox and polygon battles and you are done. Next day you come and repeat this cycle. Now you have to keep doing this for 2-3 months before buying any decent equipment. It is just exhausting.

Also many players of Tankionline moved to tanki x.

Reverting tanki to such an early version is nearly impossible, ridiculously expensive and, most importantly, completely pointless.

okay. pasting a xml file of the old silence map can be done within 20 secs. Maybe some other additions have to be made. Its not expensive to do so and its also not pointless bc many player would love it and the old silence required tactics now it doesnt

Yes me2 those maps required skills thats why I liked tanki in the first place

Each map requires skills to win the battle. If you think new Silence doesn't need tactics, you are blind.

I mean, now there are a dozen ways to approach your enemy. Now we have tunnels, ramps everywhere, this basically means you can be shot from every direction and that simply requires more power. And that requires drugs.. and drugs have ruined the game especially the last 3 years

You have to develop defending tactic. If your defence is on point, you won't get shot from every direction ;)

Of course, Non-PRO battles require drugs. If you don't like drugs, you can play PRO-battles.

thats the prob. Almost every battle I join is dominated by one team, it also happens in some PRO-battles. Boring AF. Maps need to be reworked to make it harder to dominate the battle. And the old Silences are perfect examples of that.

I think it's more the mentality of the players who prefer joining a winning team.

Apart from Silence, the maps are fine. I join small battles most of the time to avoid these massive differences between both teams.
