Hello, tankers! You surely must've noticed a new facebook moderator lurking in the shadows of the community. Didn't you all notice him? Most of us might have. Get your tea cups ready for reading this interview!

COUNTRY: INDIA
STATE: ASSAM
HOBBIES: WATCHING ANIME AND SIMPLY ROAMING AROUND THE CITY

Hello there! Thanks for accepting my request to have your interview! To start off, can you please describe a bit about yourselve?

Hello Sre, thanks for having me here! My name is Ambitious aka. Ember aka. Supratikbora. My real name is Supratik Bora and I am 16. I am from Assam, India.  I discovered Tanki with the help of brother, who forced me into playing the game. I have been here for almost 4 years now. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to ranking up, I mean, I haven't ranked in almost 1.5 years now. The forum is a great place for me to spend my free time, for there are several interesting topics, especially in the off-topic section.

We should thank you brother. :P You're from Assam. How is the climate in your state? I've heard that it rains like hell in Assam, isn't it true? Does it snow? Since it doesn't snow much anywhere in India.. Can you tell us a bit about your neighbourhood?

Haha, yes. It rains a lot in Assam, even in winter. It doesn't snow, would have been awesome if it did! It's already spring but it's still raining.

Assam is a wonderful place. It is known for its amazing wildlife and of course, tea gardens. The biggest wildlife sanctuary of Assam is undeniably Kaziranga National Park. Here, you can find a wide variety of species, ranging from elephants to the afore-mentioned rhino. If you ever come to Assam, make sure that you visit this park! Tea is planted all over Assam. Visit anywhere in Assam and you will find tea gardens there. One of the things that makes Assam a great place. Assam tea is famous all over the world!

In Assam, I live in a town called "Dhemaji". A pretty small and infamous place, but it gives the feeling of both a rural and an urban setting. The people here are really nice. I have been living here since the time I was born.

Now, let's move to the game. You said you started this game some four years ago right? How was the game, initially? What were your feelings? Who was your first friend in TO?

I joined TO during the Farewell Moon Silence event. Oh, how I regretted not buying the paint later! Let's see. My memories from back then are pretty hazy but yeah, there weren't daily missions, smart cooldowns, etc. Oh, and there was the old rating system. The experience bar was preeeettty long back then. You couldn't switch between servers as easily as you can now. I was a big, big mult, took me almost 3 months to rank from Recruit to Sergeant! Yes! I didn't really play the game much since I had lag issues. My first impressions of the game were pretty good. Was really surprised to find a game where you can "play online with other players."

My first friends. Their names are madmankiller and spiderman10002. Actually, I made a topic on this, which you can check here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=248290
I was appointed as a Tanki Facebook moderator in February this year. My first day of the job was pretty disastrous and man, was I so nervous! But my pals in the team were excellent in assisting me and it's for their help that I'm here today. My work is limited only to the Facebook page.

How did you start your helper career? What services do you render to TO, nowadays? What was your initial response, when your FB app got accepted? To whom did you first say this news to? And, what were your friends' reactions when they heard about your approval as a candidate?

My response on getting accepted was like hell yeah im a mod now yeee. Ah, I don't remember whom I first shared the news with. Some friends were surprised, while some had a normal reaction. xD

What are the perks of being an helper? What do you particularly like about being an FB moderator?

As a Facebook moderator, I learned so many things I never knew about earlier. It also helped me meet some great people who taught me a lot of things. The job itself is really fun and the part which I like the most is replying to other tanker's questions and clarifying their doubts. I talk to different people everyday and it really helps me sharpen my communication skills. At first, I was really nervous but slowly and gradually, I'm getting used to this job.

What is your favourite combo and why?

My favorite combo is Ricochet + Viking. Ricochet is a really fun to play with and it is one of those turret that actually requires skill and proper control. Viking's medium health and speed makes it able to capture a few flags while grabbing a few kills at the same. Overall, it is a killer combo. I also use Ricochet and Titan, which is a big help in Polygon CPs. I don't play XP/BP battles much though.

What are your hobbies other than playing TO?

I spend a lot of time on the internet doing random stuff. I'm highly extroverted, so I spend a lot of time roaming around the town with my friends, playing games, etc. Although I'm not that good at drawing, I still love doing it. I have been playing the piano/keyboard for almost an year now. I also sing a little :D And of course, how can I forget? Anime. Anime, according to me, is the best gift to humanity by Japan. I spend like, way too much time watching anime daily. Life without anime is really dull for me. Anime is love, anime is life. Reading manga is also a good way to spend the time!

What all games have you played, other than TO? (Games in the net)

I have played countless other games on the internet. The first online game I ever  played was called "Miscrits" on Facebook. It was a Pokemon-sorta game where you had to catch mysterious creatures called "Miscrits" in the wild, train them and defeat evil monsters. Yeah, it was pretty fun but unfortunately , the game was shut down last month. Other Facebook games which I played were Wild Ones, Cityville, Stick Run, etc. DotA 2 had me hooked last year but I had to quit it due to internet problems. Brawlhalla is another game I used to play and still love to play. Other steam games which I used to play include Paladins, Dirt 3 and Aura Kingdom. Currently, I'm playing a rhythm game called "Osu!". Another multiplayer online game and I swear it's really reaaaaally fun. Looking back at my gaming history, you could say that I never played any hardcore FPS games. :P

What kind of studies are you into? (Science stream etc) And why? Do you like studying and what is your ambition?

I'm currently in my final year of high school. I'll definitely go for science. Yes, I do enjoy studying but not every time xD. As for now, I don't have a clear ambition in life. I did narrow down my list of options - Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. - but I'm unsure about which one I should go for. I guess I will just decide as time passes by. :)

Last, what advice would you give to people who would like to become FB mods like you?

Keep helping other players, maintain a calm attitude and make sure you do a lot of hard work! Good communication skills are a must if you wish to be a Facebook moderator. And of course, don't forget to read the entire of EULA and game rules!

Thank you @Ambitious for spending your valuable time with us! :)

That is all guys! Hope you enjoyed reading this interview! If you did, then hit the like button! :D If you find any mistakes, don't forget to comment them below. Thank you.

Edits:

- Yourselves - yourself (should be singular not plural).

- 2 Punctuation errors (remember your question marks).

- Friends have reactions, not a reaction.

- 2 typos.

Yeah, interesting interview. Try not to use the same word more than twice in the same area of the article. You used notice(d) 3 times within 20 words :)

Assam is the only place in the entire world where you can find the famous one-horn rhino.

Not true, you can find them in Chitwan National Park in Nepal too

I know because I am Nepalese myself and saw one just a month ago when i went to Nepal on holiday   ;)

Nevertheless, great article!  ^_^
