Ask a Battle Mod

The fact that we all have the same 'power', doesn't mean that we can stick our noses in their business and vice versa. RU chat moderators are the responsibility of the RU chat admin, which means the EN chat admins cannot speak for their actions. The same applies the other way around and the same applies to the other helper teams that are separated by community.

I never saw in chat lobby, or in battles an EN mod banned any RU player. Well fine :)

Lobby chats are separate for both communities and chat mods mainly focus on the lobby chats. Consequently, the chance of you being in the same battle as an EN community chat mod who understands Russian, while a Russian community player violates the rules is pretty slim.

OK, I have one big question regarding parkour mode.

I've heard of multiple cases where players get kicked (and I think even banned) for shooting others in Parkour mode. I'd like to point out that nowhere in the rules does it say that shooting other players in Parkour mode is against the rules, so mods punishing players for it is technically power abuse. I always tell players that if they don't want "ruiners" to disturb their parkour, they need to get some trusted friends together and do parkour in a private battle, like all the decent parkour clubs do it. Public parkour battles are just fun games with no rules, basically "chillout rooms", and trying to do any kind of serious parkour in there is pointless waste of effort.

So let's say this "no-killing rule" is added to the main Game Rules and "sabotage" in parkour battles becomes punishable. But even then I would not agree with this kind of decision because it's basically a waste of time. A Russian moderator told me that battle mods don't kick shooters in parkour right away. Instead, they "enter the battle upon responding to a /vote report, find the reported player, observe them for a long time and then make a decision based on what they saw". I understand that this is a logical process to make sure that no honest player get kicked for shooting (e.g. if they killed someone accidentally). What bothers me is that battle mods waste their time dealing with some silly "ruiners" in parkour, instead of focusing on actual important issues like reports of hackers and sabotage in normal battles.

In a nutshell, my question is: why do you think that "violations" in parkour mode are worth spending your precious work time on, instead of dedicating it to actual battles?

Because half the Time Battle moderators don't know what the reports are for. You can report me for hacking and i'm not hacking therefor they must see what's going on. There isn't a specific way to tell battle moderators what there doing so there really isn't anything you can do to prevent battle moderators comming into parkour battles without awareness of what's going on

What I'm saying is that if there's a parkour battle with an active report and a non-parkour battle with an active report, the non-parkour one should always be checked first. Parkour battle violations should only be investigated when there are no other reports left for normal battles.

Wait....

So can you be reported for killing/twin fighting in parkour? As long as you're not actually harassing the player I don't see a problem.

Hi! Just a question, but do you need to speak fluent Russian in order to become a Battle moderator?
Thanks.

I am gonna try my best to became a helper of at least one field of work in Tanki. I don't know why, but I get that happy feeling after I help* someone. Does any of you guys get the same feeling?

Help for moderators as in blocking/banning hackers who disturb well-behaved player's manners, banned spammers and players who inflame others etc...

Yes you can be reported for Fighting in a Parkour battle, but as Answered before about Parkour Fights : ↓

There is 2 situations for Parkour Battles that Battle_Mod looks for while spectating :

- If the complaint was on 1 or 2 player(s) who are violating battle format and bothering other players who are trying to really parkour . In this case , Battle_Mod will warn them to stop killing / bothering other players or Battle_Mod will be forced to kick them from the battle .

- If the complaint was on a group of players who are doing a drug war or ... and they are bothering 2-3 players . In this case , Battle_Mod will suggest to those 2-3 players to leave the battle and create new parkour battle

Hi, just asking, but do battle_mods ban those who violate ingame chat rules? I mean ingame chat as in the battle chats not the general chats.

Sorry this probably isn't the proper thread for this, but i can't seem to post anywhere else.

My question does remain, why did this other guy get so much more score and reward when we killed the same number and I died less?  He was using Smoky/Hunter, so it is not an Isida issue.

The user has either Premium or Beginner's Pass and the bonus rewards are now combined with the result rewards.

Can I use Google Drive shareable direct links instead of YouTube? It makes the process of reporting a violator simpler and quicker. Moderators could also download the video file to view it uncompressed. (YouTube does mess up the quality; file size: max. 20MB)

In team death match mode, you can gain points as for assisting kills. As an example, you get 5 points to your battle score if you assist a kill (if you hit the guy with anything). Since he was using Smoky, he may have a couple of assists which increased his battle score.

A detailed version of how the different game modes work can be found here: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Battle_modes

Hello!

In relation to reporting saboutage, conspriacy with enemies and hacking, if the length of the video created for the report is shorter than 5 minutes as a result of leaving the battle or other similar causes, will the video still count?

it depends on What is happening in the Video evidence provided by the player in his report, sometimes a 1/2 minute Video is Enough to prove that the player is using a third party software (Hack) in the game and sometimes it is Not .

as for Sabotage reports, it's different but it also depends on the Video evidence .

Glad to help !
