I'm leaving Tanki

Recommended Posts

That's it, guys, I'm done with this game.

My reasons:

I wouldn't put all the blame on Tanki developers for quitting, but you really made my choice much easier. The main reason to leave is the infamous mission update.

When I started playing Tanki, I had a great time. I played with Twins, then switched  to the much more interesting and challenging Vulcan. Druggers barely showed up at the low ranks. I even bought some crystals to support the game I liked. Because I think a great game is worth supporting.

Then they reduced the price of the Pro Pass, so I bought it, because I faced more and more druggers. My main problem is not that druggers make a game unfair. A much bigger problem is that they make a game uninteresting. Go full drug, take the flag, hit 1 when your HP is almost down and cap. Start again. No teamwork, drugs decide the outcome. It's boring to play in an unbalanced game and regular battles are 80% unbalanced. It's boring when one man can make such a big difference only by drugging.

So I swithched to Pro battles. It was a new dimension of playing. I even made a second account for XP/BP and started to learn how to play with Railgun. I met a lot of great people during this time and made friends both in the game and on the forums.

Then they removed the possibility of finishing missions in Pro battles. We talked about it a lot, I don't really want to continue it here. There were a thousand way to fix the devs problems with the system. They choosed to ignore all the solutions we offered. It seems to me they don't really care about our opinions.

Since then the new updates made it even worse for regular players. We are forced to play in drug-wars, they removed the kit discounts, decreased the crystal mission chance and gave buyers an even bigger advantage by the daily gifts for Premium Pass. I don't even want to talk about the constant "rebalancing" which makes some turrets OP, then nerf it to being useless after some time.

I can't see how this game will be better in the near future. Maybe the declining numbers will prove the devs they were wrong. Maybe not and I'm the only one feeling this way. Doesn't matter to me anymore.

I don't know what to do with my accounts yet, I have to figure it out. But I know I won't continue playing. This game is not fun anymore. Bye guys and gg.

Your right bro buyers are taking over & the devs are doing anything they can to support buyers & their cause.Only a few hundred players have actual skills & rest  who don't have skills either they go buying stuff or trading accounts. But I will show how a non-buyer beats a buyers :D  :P

Sad you see you leaving us. One day there'll only be a few players left in tanki and I'm pretty sure, these will be the tanki devs.

Good luck in real life!

Stay bro, you want to try out xp/bp.

I gave it my first shot at your rank, and since then, I've played exclusively that.

You can try out no supplies battles too, they are sometimes fun to play too.

Nevermind if we cant do the odd missions in a week, but they havent changed the no supplies battles.

I can't play missions in XP/BP. How could I buy M3s without mission rewards?

We can still do the get experence and get boxes missions and keep the chain alive.

You have mammoth vulcan, just play polygon cp no supplies, they are on every server.

Then you can save and buy m3 kit, just be patient.

The updates have irked me too, I've reduced my playing time.

I only play non-pro for missions.

Usually in half an hour, we can do 2 out of 3.

Then I play no supplies battles.

You can get twins in june sale, and mammoth twins is a killer combo in polygon, you will make 2000 crystals every hour there.

Non-buyers can also do well in this game, if they have right strategy, and remain patient.

I'll be honest, I hardly play this game anymore for the exact same reasons you mentioned above. I have plenty of supplies and a good amount of MUs on my M3s but I don't enjoy playing much for the complete lack of balance.

I play around 45 minutes once in 3 days to get all missions done and then I just log in to claim 1 of them and keep my chain going.

The only reason I still play is because I have some very good friends who are still around.

We usually fix up a time every weekend and enjoy ourselves for a good 2 hours.

Couldn't agree more. It's not easy, but with perseverance and patience non-buyers can achieve almost everything.

I have M2.5 Mammoth-Vulcan, plus nearly 400k crystals, 250 RK, 800+ of all the other drugs. I would've been M3 before the yellow star ranks if there are enough MU sales. I don't mind if buyers have even better equipment, just don't force me into drug battles.

Nobody forces you. Nobody forces you to play. Nobody forces you to enter drug wars. You can do whatever feels right for you.

The system forces me. You can't be competitive without mission rewards. You can't finish missions in Pro battles.

I can agree to many of your points.. but hey, let's see it positive: you gain a lot of spare time that you can spend in more useful ways :)

So have a good time and let your days count for you ;)

No. You are the one that wants to be competitive, you are the one that wants more crystals. Anyway, considering the amount of crystals and the equipment you have I could say that you are capable of staying competitive. All you need to get at first is an M3 tank that you can use in PRO Battles and then XP/BP so that you have more battles to choose from. Your garage is going to improve for sure, but at a slower pace.

Well, I hope you will find something else to enjoy. Good bye!

That's the reason I don't want to continue playing. I want to finish missions while having fun. Not just "lets be done with it because I need the rewards".

But I DO have fun while completing missions because I use those supplies.

Before the mission update came, I did all my missions in pro battles, and saved a lot of supplies, which come handy now.

I have rail m2.8 + high calibre ammo.

As a rule, I do not drug unless I see someone on enemy team drug, but when they do, then I just put on Double Damage, and start spawn killing the whole team, all medium hulls are 1 shot then. Trust me, one shotting them druggers and buyers is a lot of fun.

It gives them no time to use repair kit, and the thing about gameplay with rail is, the flash of light just seems to come from nowhere, and boom, you're dead!

The fun is limited, though, because supplies run out if you use them too much, but if you remain on the 4th week of the chain, you can get enough for the whole week, even if you just break even.

From time to time, there will be the odd buyer who will ruin a game, but then there are good games to be enjoyed also in pro battles.

If you think non-buyers can't get m3s in time, let me tell you this, I can get Paladin kit tomorrow if it comes in garage, so I will have m3s at Lt. General, and a protection module (finally!).

There is still a bit of fun if you play with friends in non-pro battles.

Battle choice is a bit limited. There is mainly Noise CTF, Poly CP in no supplies mode.

The odd Rio CTF no supplies can be a lot of fun.

There's still a bit left in this game, though only in pro battles and mission chains.
