I see...so perfect my sniping and find a hiding spot. From my experience, though, I like being a bit more mobile rather than camp in a hiding spot. Anyhow, though, I still have an M2 Isida as well as my main M2 Smoky. As of late, Playing as a smoky just exposes me more to the M3 Boogiemen. Meanwhile, being an M2 Isida, although not quite potent against M3's, does at least sorta help my teammates, who'd appreciate any health boosts. I suppose Isida and Shaft will have to be my new core weapons for now...

As said, a really good way to develop in TO is using 1 combo and stick with that, that's gonna help you save crystals and make your tank stronger.

I made a mistake on my very first account by buying as many hulls, turrets and paints as possible for my rank, it didn't end up very well and i had a hard to to get back into shape.

And also, using only one combo has its downsides as well. Which is why I have 3 m2 turrets :P

Thx for the update!  Grinding takes time, and so do those M2 battles.  Thankfully, there has been some relief in EN 2 as my luck has turned around.  Decided to play Isida+Viking in Highways with another Isida+Viking, and the combo proved to be sufficient against all the shafts, rails, and ricos trying to stop us!

Isida with Viking is a great combo considering how effective it is in team battles like CTF, TDM and so on. Easy way of gaining experience and the more experience you get, the more rewards you get when the battle ends and the more reward you get, the more crystals you get. Saving them all, buying or micro-upgrading on sales will do a lot of impact on anyone's garage. Great combo, keep using it.  :)

I have an alternate account called shuv500

I used to only do missions on it and I saved enough for a few m2s and minotaur kit (tho twins is really bad without the alteration that removes splash damage)

It has little use to me now... should I continue to do missions on it or just abandon it altogether?

Then i can get the twins alt and a hevay hull and dominate  :D

You got quite a few m2s at that rank, so here's what you should do in this order:

 

1. Get STP alt for your twins.

2. Go after m2 titan.

3. Buy m2 smoky. Because it goes well with titan.

4. Get a couple more protections: one for long range and the other for what ever turrets you don't like coming across in battle (preferably triple module).

5. Grab whatever other equipment that you think you may want or need.

Okay, for me, you should improve your main account (I guess this one is), and so, you will be able to test more game styles and you'll be completely sure about what do you exactly like. Sorry, but for me, there's no fun when you put a brick on your keyboard and go everywhere.

And I think you will someday get bored of it, so, "try new things" is my advice for you. You can also improve your another account but a bit slower.

I don't know how many crystals you have or how much you play but these tips might help you:

• Don't try to buy all M1s or M2s, just buy your favourite combo and stick with it.
• Don't micro upgrade until you reach M3 equipment.
• Don't buy supplies, try to get them from missions.
• Don't waste crystals on changing missions.
• Always buy during holiday sales or buy a kit. That way everything is much cheaper.
• Play in profitable battles like Polygon CP with supplies disabled.
• NEVER buy paint regardless of how good they look.

If you have a very small amount of crystals at this point with no M2s at all, you might be better off starting a new account and manage your crystals better with it. Hope you found that useful!

Actually, Simoom is OP and is obtained at 3rd Lt. From there is more than long enough to MU it to M3 before you reach Marshal, so early M3 :)

 

But that combo is weak at M3 ranks. Tried it before on the test server :/
