Removed from battle due tpo inactivity

 Share

Recommended Posts

So, I was in Noise with Magnum. At some point, I found a nice spot and I never moved my tank. All I did was shooting with Space and chatting. And I got kicked from the battle for inactivity

Funds were 10K and we were trying to take over.

I forgot about that glitch, it's not a new one, happened to me before.

Thats quite interesting, since the timer considers how much you move your tank and turret and not just your shots otherwise you could put a brick on the space bar.

Except that a brick would always shoot at the same rate. Or not shoot at all with Magnum, since it would reach 100% and do nothing until the space bar is released.

When a human shoot, it's random, there is no pattern. We can shoot 3 times in a row, then don't shoot for 30 seconds then shoot again.

I used some keys of my keyboard. Space bar, and letters for the chat. I also think I "rotated" Magnum. So, if the tank does not move at all for 2 minutes, you are removed of the battle.

I agree, this shouldn't be like this and is annoying. But I don't know if its possible to have different inactivity characteristics for each turret as you say. I think it will kick you unless you move your tank.

By My own Research not 100% accurate

For not triggering the auto finish timer, you need to be like hitting and killing or capping a flag, simply shooting in sky shows the auto timer that the player is not gaining exp so therefore it is inactive. Same goes for pause / exit due to inactivity.

Interesting thing indeed, this shouldn't be happening since you were playing and most of all, you said you were using Magmum which requires the player to move around, change the % and so on unless you were just camping and pressing 1 the space bar once every time it loads.

Did it ever happen to you with some other Turrets before and how did it happen?

It's happened already with other turrets before. But it was private 1v1 with a friend, we were just talking, I never used my weapon or moved my tank.

As for Magnum, it is the first time. I know I never moved my tank. But I was constantly adjusting the % for better results. I had a good spot, my tank was only moving from the recoil of the Magnum.

I was killing enemies. My score was over 1k.

That happened to me on the red side of Noise camping at the top of the tunnel ramp.

If you just press the spacebar (not matter how many times you do it), you will be kicked for inactivity. Don't know why that's a thing, but it is. Pressing just the arrow keys, turret rotation keys, or supplies will keep you in the battle.

Or simply pressing the P (pause) botton continuously will keep you in the battle as well. This is what I normally do.

You mean skills, but aside from the joke... usually it helps a lot and you won't get kicked for being idle for too long. You also don't have to do much of a work except simply keep pressing the P key and you are done so it is a great way to not get kicked in case you are too lazy to move around your tank or do other things.

Inactivity would also mean "no score earned", but you did earn, right?

Developers should just disable that timer if a player is actually earning score and kills.

Yea, at least some sort of solution should be done for it, I haven't seen players complaining about other Turrets except Magnum so I guess since Magnum is a new Turret, for a while it will have all kind of problems here and there till the Turret becomes 100% completed including everything and I did report this so I forgot to close this topic. Thanks for the reminder.  :)
