Updates happen and the game is always changing, what is your approach to playing the game now?

I'm jus saving for a m3 kit at lieutenant general... then I can dominate for a few ranks and when I reach marshal I think I will be done with tanki

Instead of heavily investing in one combination, I try balance out my crystals between a couple of them. I also make sure I have a wide range of modules, so if a gun gets buffed quite a lot I have decent protection against it. Lastly, try and predict obvious balance changes. For example, pre-Patch Update 456, I thought that Isida and Firebird were unbalanced, and therefore going to be buffed. So, I bought a Firebird+Freeze+Isida module. Now I have a decent module protecting against a turret that can kill my Mammoth M4 in 4 seconds :P.

Crystal farming mostly - even ignored the May sales. After spending millions on MUs to M4s, which of course were then both nerfed and made less expensive, I've become a bit cynical regarding what I'll spend crys on next.

 

I want Magnum and a few more modules, but I'm in no hurry, so the 30% May sale isn't quite enough of a carrot for me.

Right now I'm in the middle of saving up for an M3 Kit so I can buy it at and be OP for a couple ranks. I have 120k crystals right now and the rank up bonuses from  through add up to 101k, plus the crystals I earn from missions/battles/golds and I'll easily have enough for an M3 Kit. The leftover crystals I'll use to MU the combo from M3 to M4.

 

The problem is that ranking up to is gonna take a while and I might end up quitting before then. Even if I earn 2k XP a day, it'll still take me around 210 days to reach it.

 

Honestly, the main reason I play is to catch Gold boxes.

 

Edit: The other main reason I play is to keep my mission chain going and get the weekly reward.

Don't play in non-PRO battles anymore. Full of druggers, mults and a waste of supplies. You end up using more supplies than you would get as a reward for completing missions.

I use rico m2 at marshall and i play equal to drugging m4s so i think it is worth trying playing after it

I knew about these dead battles to complete missions but I never bothered to visit them because it wasn't really necessary up until now. Thanks for the eye-opener. (and it worked by the way) :lol:

Well, I made a new alt, trashed this one.

 

I am WO1 on my new alt, with little over 46,000 saved up crystals and my main combo is Thunder and Hunter M0. Hard as it is to take on most battles, the crystal increases in battle funds provide me with more crystals than experience even on the losing team in most cases. If I end up on the winning team, then it's quite a large take-out. I mainly take pot shots at enemies to share the score with other players who can actually kill them. This at least gives me some experience to rank up with.

 

I'm looking to get Matrix or Predator. I'm more for Matrix because it's 30,000 crystals cheaper and I won't need it for long since I'm going to then save for M2 xp. Modules, alterations, micro upgrades, etc won't matter in xp/bp games. I'll also try to get an M2 Thunder to keep doing missions with sicne Railgun is only good for xp/bp and nothing more.

All the missions updates that prevent missions being done in Pro-Battles and funds not being applied just makes me gravitate towards only playing on my alt. It's really fun, actually. Get really OP equipment and reap in funds, it's really cool actually. Playing on my main is only really for catching up with friends really.

When used correctly, Railgun can dominate in every battle. Trust me.

There is, I mean I seen some pictures where 100k+ players were online every single day, in some sales, almost 10-20k if I'm not mistaken. These days the numbers has gone down quite a lot. :l

On Friday and Saturday, even RU2 was quiet - during a sale event! O_O

 

Game performance also seems to be at an all time low. Client freezes for me almost every game forcing me to restart. Server issues have been a problem during the event forcing several unplanned sever restarts. Lag is maddening - like this:

 

- activate Zero supply, get ready to kick butt

- LAAAAAAAAAG

- my tank explodes, Zero supply cooldown resets

If you consider luck and lots of searching... "simple" then sure.  Not exactly "fun" though.

 

I used to have fun while simultaneously completing my missions before. Not so much nowadays.

Missions are out of alignment with the changes being made to the game. I stopped doing missions for awhile then started again. Not sure how long I will keep doing them. My problem is how much time per day I can play - that's not a Tanki problem. That's my problem.

 

PRO battles are a lot more fun and rewarding. Again, you need to be able to invest some time in no-timer battles - those 100CP Polygon battles can get some big funds. And since they are usually no supply, you play with and against skill, not drugs. Is this worth 5k crys a month for the PRO pass - absolutely.

 

So my approach right now is to play standard battles only long enough to farm missions, then switch to PRO battles for fun and better battle funds.

My spidey sense is telling me the June sale wil be 40%, so I'm saving crystals and starting to plan for Magnum and Module purchases.

 

With the Daily Bonus, Premium is by far the best Crystal for your money deal, so I might get the 30 day Premium to further hoard crystals ahead of whatever sale June brings.
