Removal of Silence from normal battles

Hello.

Since the introduction of the new turret Magnum, playing in Silence Red Team has become a lot unfair. If you look, all the blue team has to do, is to take a long range turret, be it Smoky, Thunder, Railgun, Shaft or maybe Striker or Magnum, especially magnum and camp out there. Even in our base, we are easily getting trapped. We cant move from left to right without being hit by someone. Being an Isida, I feel it's really difficult for me to reach other players and All the time, I've been hit by some campers. I cannot use a Repair just to avoid campers. 

A magnum has to just hide behind walls over there and has to shoot with low power and 30% angle. It can destroy many tanks easily. Two of them will create a havoc.

So, I suggest removal of Silence from Normal battles, just like Noise

 

The Map Noise was removed because of the same reason, the red team on the top could easily camp. Magnum on red team..Well, I'll just go to the cliff and shoot with 0 degree and 5 power. I can literally damage the entire team on the blue base. It's so easy to ruin the gameplay. 

As far as Maf's concern towards players' reaction is considered, let me remind you of the reaction after the Missions' Update. I don't think I should send you a screenshot from EN3, which spammed "#RemoveMissionUpdate"

I agree. I always found Silence to be an unbalanced and boring map, although I'm afraid that a lot of players love it so removing it will result in a very negative reaction. I'll still forward this to developers though and leave it to them to decide.

I couldn't agree more.

 

Noise is now virtually impossible for the blues especially when supplies and drops are disabled.

I have played in numerous battles here where a Magnum or 2 have literally not moved the entire game.  They are often backed up by an isida and a thunder or 2.  Couple that with a couple of fires and isidas to grab flags an it is a no win situation.

 

Noise is by far the most unequal battlefied now with Magnum.

Can't help but agree. They need to redesign Noise, especially taking Magnum into consideration.

 


 

Though for Silence, the Red team can also annoy the Blue team with Magnum.

As far as your concern towards players' reaction is considered, let me remind you of the reaction after the Missions' Update. I don't think I should send you a screenshot from EN3, which spammed "#RemoveMissionUpdate"

A thing, beneficial for the gameplay or for balance in game should be triggered, ignoring the reactions of the players to a certain level at certain times. This has been done many times and I don't think devs should hesitate doing this time. Anyway, it's up to them.

Only talking about Normal Battles and not PRO battles. You can play PRO battles in Noise and Silence even now and you'll be able to, in the future (until devs decide to remove these totally ofc) 

Also, banning Magnum would be unfair. Also, I can take advantage of the structure not only with Magnums, but also with Thunder, Striker, Railgun, etc. How many turrets will you keep on banning, just for 2 or 3 maps huh?

For noise, we need to increase the size of the map, spread the spawn points more out, and add a couple more paths from base to base.

 

 

For silence, I think we need to just spread out the spawn points a little more

Those maps arent Team vs team. Those maps are Attackers vs Defenders, Just what TO needs. I TOTALLY disagree with this idea.

- Of removing Silence:

  • Many players get sad
  • Tanki loses another map
  • Less Gameplay diversity

+ Of removin Silence:

  • None. You just can play in another map. It's not obligatory to play there!

Excuse me, I'm just talking about normal battles. You can play whole day in Silence and Noise, but only in PRO battles

Noise isn't too unbalanced, the thing that makes you think it's only a boring game of 'Attackers vs. Defenders' is the fact that Blue team only do defending, only few seem to be attacking! Realize that it is possible to takedown red team (although I agree that red team's job is way easier) by using some tricks like 'going in the ghost mode with few well armored hulls' (as I have seen some clan players doing 5~6 of those somewhere on the YouTube which leaded them to success) and 'attacking together' (this is success in any battle, it is quite impossible to win with only one attacker per time and 90% of the team defending all the time).

 


 

That was an example of the Noise teams from my perspective. Silence players should train more on the one team against the other in order to master it imo.

Each map has its own tactics, even if team os weaker than enemies, it can easily win.

 

Lets take noise again - Blue team is weaker. Lets say 7:4 flags, they let red team in their base, one or two persons run to red base, while rest of the team fight enemies off, the flag gets taken and you need only like 7-10 sec to cap. Nothing big, but just the right timing and teamwork. Sorry but seems like you havent mastered this map yet

As Maf said, it's not at all about winning/losing. I agree to your first point @Earth. You can win being in any of the teams. But both maps are unbalanced as far as normal battles are concerned, especially since the introduction of Magnum. If you have a high amount of supplies and you don't feel any problem in wasting them, then you can win easily. But if you are a person who has a medium number of them, wouldn't like if he's hit by someone every time you move out of cover.

You got that right. IMO all maps should be available as normal battles, if you don't like a map, don't join it. :|

I can literally damage the entire team on the blue base.

Both teams have their advantages, meaning it's a fair game depending on what equipment your teammates are using...

The problem is that the devs' beloved "Battle!" button doesn't allow you to select a map, so you wouldn't want to be sent to bad maps over and over again when you click it.

Wait wait wait wait..... Some map CAN'T be created using the Battle! button?

 

So, this is why there are NEVER Noise, Subway, Chubakha, Courage? What is wrong with Courage for example? Both sides are balanced. What is wrong with Subway? I knew something was wrong, because I never saw this map in "free" battles list.

 

BTW, you want to remove Silence because of Magnum? Excuse me, but what the hell? Devs already changed the respawn zones in Siege because of Magnum. This is totally new, no? First time devs change something because of a gun.

 

Why not remove all the walls in Highways because it's unfair with all the Shafts camping behind them?

why not adapt the maps to fit the new circumstances?

But devs never adapted maps because of Shaft before. Or Rail. But now they should adapt all the maps because of Magnum? I find this idea crazy bad, no offence.
