Lag Despite Good Computer

I have a GTX 1060 graphics card and the best i5 processor, the last model before they started making i7s. Overall it's a $1000 dollar machine. I should be getting 80 or 100 FPS minimum with this build, but usually get 50 to 60. This is fine, it's not SUPER noticeable. I have all my settings on the highest possible and all effects on. Seeing as it's a browser game, I wouldn't think that the game would use that much CPU, but I still get 50-60 FPS with dips down into 30 and even below 10 for a half a second every once in a while. I run demanding first-person games just fine with only occasional issues. Is Tanki Online actually this demanding? Or is this something that I can solve? I'm going to run some diagnostics and see, but I don't expect anything out of the ordinary for a game like this.

Thanks,

BattleMedic

PS Could it be a game limitation? Such as the game  being limited to 60 FPS?

Hello . This had actually been discussed to great lengths in a different topic a few months back, the basic explanation is you can have the best computer money can buy and still only get 60 FPS with Tanki. But this is only because Flash Player has a 60 FPS limit. The 60 FPS limit is likely to change after Tanki switches over to HTML5 within the next year or two ( just an estimated time by myself, nothing else) cause HTML5 (being basically a new and improved version of Adobe Flash) has a higher FPS limit

Answered, thanks.

Even I have a perfect PC and I still get lags sometimes, so it is not about your PC and I hope many thing will change once TO moved from Flash to HTML5 just like minority of the big games are doing so, some already did while others are still on the process of doing so and If you want to discuss more about the HTML5, please check this topic named Let's discuss Tanki Online HTML5 Version.
