What do you expect from TO developers?

What's even the point of this topic? It's not like the devs are gonna actually read this and listen to our opinions - Hazel himself said so. Just wishful thinking :(

Normally if all discussion about the update should be kept in the official update topic, it would help a lot.  Some players may think that creating a separate topic with pledges will mean that developers will be more likely to notice it and take action, but they are wrong. Developers rarely check the rest of the forum and news topics are the only place where they seriously pay attention to feedback and take it into account. Our job as forum moderators is to keep this discussion in those news topic and prevent it from being diverged to other places on the forum which is something forum moderators do a lot in every update, but this one is different tho. This is just a discussion one or more like what players would like or hoping at least.  :)

That is bias right there , you are a wasp user you love you agile hull and you want it even more faster,

Yet want the very slow heavy hulls ever slower. please be more just and fair, you played 853 hrs on wasp

Yet you only played 73 hrs on a titan that doesn't make you a heavy hull player.

Since I purchased the Titan (at aprox 1Mio xp)

  • I played 50% of my progress with Titan (150k) and
  • 50% with the Wasp (1Mio + 150k + 150k = 1.3Mio = where I am now).

 

In my word "balance" means, that each hull should be of equal "might" on an average sized map (meaning that for the protection that a heavy hull offers the speed is it's tradeoff. And for the speed the light hulls offer, the protection is a tradeoff).

But today light hulls are literally useless in mixed mode battles at higher ranks on average map sizes.

 

 

 

Even before they were turned into non-agile slow wheelchairs, it was hard to play a decent role in a Gismo battle with a light hull on an average map size.. but since the last balance they are truely useless. Besides it makes no fun to ride them.. they feel so spongy and non-responsive compared to the past.

 

So while the heavy user can sit on his 3500..4000 hp (I forgot the exat number) and deal streams of damage, the light hulls have no fun and no effect. And that is clearly inbalanced to me.

but actually.. if you like to continue, we should move to the balance thread :P

Technically, as modifications go higher up, the relative difference of protection among hulls stays the same (that is, heavy hulls are always 100% tougher that light hulls) while medium and heavy hulls become comparatively faster. Therefore, at modifications above M1 light hulls are at disadvantage. He might be biased, but he is right.

The thing that doesn't change is size of maps. So to keep light hulls competitive, size of Massacre map for m4 ranks should be 2 X size of Massacre maps for m0 players.

Honestly, I don't expect updates from the devs for a while now because they are working on the HTML5 version.

Let's hope they do. The faster this game moves to HTML5, the better.

This game will benefit A LOT from ditching Flash-Player.

But Srsly, I expect them take our feedback into consideration when releasing updates in the game.

to increase map sizes, does not make light hulls more competative at higher ranks.

You still get shot into bits, as the speed of a light hull does not help you vs the aiming skills of gizmos.

 

What can help you is more agility in order tot dodge faster or to accelerate better to enable you to jump from cover A to cover B.

 

I've not much of a problem to keep the heavies at their current speed, but then the buff for lights has in increase a lot.. and i don't know if this will work out (but it would be worth a try).

Ah, expectations. To be honest, nothing lives up to its expectations now-a-days (in almost all cases), the world doesn't work like that, which is quite sad...
