why would admin do that?

It is not about the Admin. ;) Gold boxes are completely random, they have a 1 in 10,000 chance of dropping. The only way for Users, Helpers and Admins to drop a Gold Box is by using the "Gold Box Supply" feature. Their place where the Golds drop and when they will drop are random and how often they are being dropped so for example when we sometimes have some sort of sales and Golds drop twice more often. Originally the Gold Box was dropped when battle the fund reached a multiple of 700 crystals. Since Update 1.78.0 it can now appear in a battle with any fund size. The probability is 1 in 10,000. Since no one can tell when a Gold will be dropped, sometimes they might even drop right when the battle is about to end, it can't be helped. (:
