What to buy? Which is better?

The main factor for my theory is that the effect of the drugs are timed. The other factor is that you die very fast. For the most part if you're on a light or medium hull and wearing a rail, you tend to die after letting off one shot. (unless camping etc), with a Smoky you can probably let off 10-20 shots which is more damage than one rail shot. Or you can fire with Twins for 10-20 seconds which is also more damage. (notice that I refer to fast-paced open drug wars, not capture the flag games, or camping). There is a reason so many drug wars at high ranks are played with Twins and Smoky (and sometimes Thunder).

 

If, on the other hand, you just want to use some supplies in a normal game to gain advantage, using rail may be a good choice - because you will have lot's of light hull opponents. In drug wars there are Mammoths and a couple Medium hulls for the most part.

 

To be honest I have no more concrete evidence to support my theory. It's just that I've taken a lot of time to observe high rank drug wars, and I noticed that fast reload weapons have a lot of advantage - they tend to get more kills, and not die as much due to quick reload.

You are just referring to Death Match? And the highest ranks? What's the point of that?

I'd say Railgun is made for double power, of course avoid the close combat maps, but in the bigger maps it is epic with double power. Same with Thunder. If you go against a drugging Mammoth it's hard to kill yes, but it is hard to kill with any gun. And many drug wars at high ranks are played with Twins and Smoky? You should watch some arab drug wars in Farm (a Thunder, two Freezes, and an Isida).

One more thing to vouch for guns like Thunder and Railgun being epic with double power is that they don't have to come too close (thus not much exposing) to their enemy, in contrast to weapons like Isida, Freeze and Twins.

Smoky is good with double power only because of it's critical hit, which depends on luck. In close combat, Isida is deadliest with double power since it can heal itself while killing.

Dictator so that if someone sneaks up on me, (a freeze or close range weapon from behind - I can spin fast and also have enough HP to shoot them once - hopefully killing them) But the downside is that I'm a huge target, and people can very easily shoot my sides.. or ram me for that matter, and make me miss...

 

Hornet would die a bit quicker... if I get attacked, and die, I likely will have wasted a bit of crystals on that double power.

 

Any other ideas?

Also, how big of an improvement would you say Railgun M1-M2 is? And M2-M3? It seems M0-M1 is the biggest jump... Ive been putting off on purchasing M2 rail because it looks like only a fairly small damage increase of about 20 damage? Am I wrong?

Yes its true that the max damage of m1 rail to m2 rail is 20hp. But id say its worth it because even 20 hp more is a good jump. But of course for me, the m0-m1 jump is the best and the deadliest.

I heard dictator will be the best medium hull after physics come out. But im sticking with hornet since i heard that it will have more stability and be able to drift which is pretty cool. :D

Hunter wouldn't be a bad choice then either. A Railgun on a Dictator can reach places no other tank can, but if an enemy drives right next to you, you just can't hit your opponent anymore, and indeed Dictator is an easy target. My favorite tank to use with Railgun is still Hornet though. It has great flexibility, but still nice stability too. Another thing to take into account might be that you can upgrade Hornet much sooner to m3 than Hunter and Hunter sooner than Dictator.

Well I never think in terms of M3.. ever. I dont ever plan to reach those high ranks, I dont play that much. But M2, certainly. I'm 1 rank away from Hunter M2... Im not sure how much Ill like it though with the new phyiscs. It doesnt have anything which makes it special really. I think I can avoid having people ram my sides in Dictator, simply by spinning super fast with the new phyics haha. Also, since Im aiming for m1-m2 effectiveness, never m3, keep these in mind. I dont think Ill ever reach another 100k+ xp on this account. Certainly not 200k+. I doubt Ill make it to the first gold star ranking. I realize Dictator mostly shines at M3. At m2's, it seems that hunter has the advantage, a small loss of hp but plenty of speed gain.

Other maps that dictators height is great for would be combe. Since its kinda chipped on the sides of both walls in map, you can use the height and position of the turret to your favor. Ive seen rail-dictator m1 be awesome in that map. & if you time your shot right, i wouldnt worry about missing much :D

In drug wars usually just the big tanks win, the fast tanks wont take much benefit if they are going to face the drugging mammoth

So try to play in non drug battles when using fast tanks

Sometimes I hate drugger noobs. <_<  Today, in Silence TDM battle, right? Max kill was 333, no time limit. We lost by 20 kills because of so many noob druggers on the other team, and our team had 3 mults. Opposing team had NONE. One of the Mults was an M1 Rail and M1 Hornet with noob skills (He got 72 Deaths and only 100-200 points), another an M0 Isida and M1 Hornet who barely healed and got 67 deaths and barely any kills. He had a D/L of 0.03%. I got a 550 score, and only got 95 crystals. :o We all ./voted the Mults, and even thumbed them down. Nothing happened. -.-

M0: Shaft, Freeze

 

M1: Firebird, Thunder, Ricochet, Smoky, Isida, Viking, Wasp,

 

M2: Railgun, Mammoth

 

Paints: Forester, Electra

 

30,000 Crystals

Exactly and when i played a friendly battle with my friends they fined me 900,000 crystals for power leveling.. and for mults and cheaters --> nothing

The game is forcing us to start using our own strategies since they ban whom they like to ban, we will make friendly battles and no more battles with strangers

Im thinking M2 rico would be fun... but with the new speed.... and influx of even more hornets and light hulls... I think we would do much better using different weapons. I see railgun popularity increasing.. even more... and maybe Smoky/thunder. Also freeze.. will be much more useful for slowing people down/circling will be easier now with higher speed.

 

Though, due to your ranking... Smoky will be unlocked next rank... I would certainly go with Smoky m2, as Rico sucks against enemy druggers. And there are ALOT of druggers at your ranks and higher... so.... I would say Smoky, so u can critical hit those mammoth druggers and cripple them.

 

Even firebird will be nice, to get in, and get out of enemy fire quickly, with a hornet.

I hate druggers as much as you do. There are 2 things you can do 1) save for hornet m2 (rail/hornet amazing combo) and buy NS pass. 2) Get freeze m2. I think freeze is the only weapon which can be effectively used against druggers if you are not drugging. I still sometimes use freeze m1 with mammy m2 when im called for help. With freeze you may not kill them but the freezing effect gives your team enough time to kill the flag carrier. At the end this is just my opinion, you know what combo works for you better. Dictator is more stable than Hornet, so making a Dictator miss is harder to do. Fact is, you can make even Mammoths miss their shot, so something like that shouldn't hold you back too much on buying a certain tank. Dictator at m2 is good too, it has nice speed and good hp.

Then other maps: pretty much every map with higher and lower grounds, a Dictator can have an advantage in, you will find out once you use it.

Mammoth will be useless for CTF this time as it will turn too slow but will help for camping

hornet will be the best fast tank

Wasp will be lost with its high speed and weak armor and stability

I think mammoth will still be good in ctf. especially for defending, or as you said for camping.

m2 twins or m2 thunder

m2 mammoth or m2 dictator?

As you already have m3 hornet i would suggest m2 mammy. And m2 twins as you already have rail m2 which in my opinion is better than thunder.

 

Hey tankmens!!!

 

I have already bought m1 titan, m1 smoky, m0 railgun and other guns... I have only SWAMP paints. What guns, tanks, paint shoul I buy now? Please write.

Stick to titan and smokey. And get m1 rail when you rank up and use it with hornet. Don't worry about paints now.
