I was not even asking about heavy hulls so that was un-called for.

 

Hunter m1-m2 upgrade is not that great so yeah. But at m3 it has a very nice jump in stats.

So basically - since you can only afford one of them, go and get Rail M2, dough. Why? You've already acknowledged that Hunter M2's jump in stats aren't that great. However, that shouldn't really matter if you're planning to go and get it anyway. What it should come down to is which one you're in dire need of. Also what do you already have? Have you already acquired Hornet M2 before this sale? (Because you've said you want that to go with your Firebird.) If you do, then Rail's definitely what you need - an M2 combo as early as Captain would help you a lot. 

 

And if you already had an M2 turret and an M2 hull and you were in this very same situation, what would you get? Do you do turret before the hull like me or do you do hull before the turret like Brainiac98-2? Think about that because that's a situation you could very well get into (not the NY sale as such but another sale)

Spectate drugs? What? If you're talking about the Bundles, then no. They are already 50% off, the sales do not affect them.

Thanks. I was not thinking of buying hornet m2. I said that because right now at m1 I use it with firebird. Although, thanks to you again you gave me that idea. If I gain enough crystals later I might get it too. I dont think id get it before that sale though. So depends. My goal is firebird m2. But if not, id just hope id have enough for hunter and rail. But as I said in my worst case scenerio, what if I dont have for both.

Both stats dont go up very much. Depends on what I feel I need in battle. Rail m1 is powerful. I kind of need the extra 0.7 raise in speed to move more comfterably. Also the 20+ hp raise would help but mostly the speed. Rail m2 would help me kill hornet m1s and kill-steal more. So ill have to keep playing with that combo to see what I need.

(Oh I forgot you asked about what I have, if you are refering to now: Mammy m1, hornet m1, hunter m1, firebird m1, rail m1, 10k crystals, ranking tomorrow. If you are refering to right before sale, I would still be saving for those)

Today, I felt much better using hunter and its speed drain from hornet. It feels more enjoyable and mobile now that I got used to it a bit. :)

Worst case scenerio: Im a captain and new year sale is days away. Theres no more time to rank to major for firebird m2 so rail m2 and hunter m2 are left. I only have enough crystals for one item at that discount though. So rail m2 or hunter m2 first?

Well as it will be having slow bullet speed (which is different compare to firing rate) most players will be using it with fast hulls as now you have to chase your enemy down. And if you try to fire at them from a distance you will miss many shots, especially when against wasp and hornet. Twins will be still good in small areas in maps and will be better choice to take down heavy tanks thanks to its infinite ammo.

As iron said its bullets will be slower. That does not mean no one will use it anymore. It will just be less effective in especially long range maps. I would not consider it for you. Go for another turret.
