I would go with Shaft M2. You can easily pick off M2 Hornets, Hunters, and Dictators (not to mention M1 Vikings and M1 Titans too). Although Rail is more flexible, it's another good option

When you say "easily pick off" m2s, I wouldn't agree necessarily because it's hard to aim onto them. And when you're playing on a "still" map like monte carlo, you expect you'll kill every guy, but it's not true. IT7s not the fact that there's too many people on the other team, it's that you don't have "clear sights". Meaning you can't see your suuroundings, which is a big turn off 'cause you get picked off from people outside your scope. Another thing is that you can't really do the "peek-a-boo" thing cause it takes 3 seconds to get your bar charged up to deal the most damage, and during that time your aim gets knocked off 'cause someone shoots at you. You don't really "move" when you are a shafter, the only time you are on the move is when you are goin to your sniping nest, AKA camping, which is not my playstyle. I've been playing with m0 Rail for the last few days, and I really like it. I'm thinking of getting it m2 when I rank. :D

^ true facts. But you know you can easily learn to avoid those things? Like, finding an area where no one can kill you. I have done that many times now, and I bet FC has done that much more. And, you do not camp! Thanks to the new physics, that is not what the shaft image is. I find a spot, like I do with railgun, and peek-a-boo. Sometimes when no enemy is there, I wait a bit. Then, boom.

You are truly looking at shaft really bad now, when a day ago you couldnt stop talking about it. You can master those things, most of those can be mastered. When you are a noob with that turret, you sometimes look at its down side if you do bad with it. Same happens to me, but, most of those I kept trying with it. And with a few games, you get better. Sure, there are obstacles, nothing you cant jump over though. If you gave up on shaft and started on rail so fast, I see that as a problem. Anyway, go ahead. You can get both if you try, as I am, maybe edit your list. It is even ok like that, if you ask me.

Ok well 99% of the battles I play are Poly DM, and there are some killer camp spots there. And I still camp, too. In maps outside of Polygon, Shaft can be good. I think Shaft is still better for camping and I find it a bit hard to use Shaft like Rail.

I NEVER play DM mode with my shaft M2. And I can manage to keep up with the scores of generalissimos with ease in the right maps. (Even 4v4 sized maps) but shaft certainly has its downsides... though lately I've purchased M2 railgun and I have been using it quite alot... I've spoken to many very skilled players who've got alot of experience with Tanki, and unfortunately it seems that they all unanimously agree that Railgun is far superior to shaft... in almost all aspects. I'm still not entirely sure if I agree... because I'm a firm believer in shaft as many people know.. time will tell I suppose. I'm still trying to convince myself whether or not to buy M3 shaft or M3 railgun..

 

Maybe I'll never know. :p But it seems the large majority of the population still thinks that shaft sucks... unfortunately almost all of them use it the wrong way. I've seen a few who use both Railgun and Shaft properly... and most still side with shaft.

Well I'm not much of a camper to be honest... But I'd like a long range gun. Well I'll make a final decision soon before the next sale, so I've got time to practice and make up my mind... :P

Hornet and religun in big map is strong, but all have protection to religun....

So use smoky or buy thonder..

In normal battle as silence use freeze and mammout..

But why don't you buy medium tank as viking ?? :D

When I get my titan M2 (Maybe at a sale). What should I start saving up for M3 Thunder OR M3 Freeze OR A paint. ?
