I am quite new to Tanki and i was wondering...are some weapons just straight up better than others like railgun/shaft? Or are all the weapons good for different jobs? Because right now I mostly use the railgun which I am upgrading but I am thinking of getting shaft. I did hear somewhere about different tiers of weapons...

All the weapons are good. You just need to choose the one you prefer. Railgun will help you to get a lot of skills quickly.

"Tiers" don't exist anymore. There used to be tiers before the rebalance, in December 2012.   -> Release 114 - Rebalance!

Hunter is the most versatile of the three, it has good maneuverability and speed in exchange for lower health. Its strong points are that I can take a few good hits, and is able to capture flags well. Viking is VERY multipurpose, it can do just about everything, from camping, to defending, to attacking, EVERYTHING.  Dictator is kind of like a big wasp, it has really good maneuverability, it is the best of the 3 for getting gold boxes because of its large hitbox, but is an easier target. After the next rebalance, I would definitely go for hunter in your case, it will have good maneuverability, and great speed, and great health. Its also really compact, which makes you a harder target.

You can't get freeze m2 cause you need to rank up first. The gun you should buy, should be comforble  for you. Don't ask other people's permissions about what you are going to buy, think of your self. Also you can wait for sales to have the chance to buy several weapons/hulls with the same crystal price to buy one normal weapon/hull at normal price. THINK!!!!!!

Currently, I have only some M1's and using them for so, long made me bored.

I have : Isida, Firebird, Smoky, Titan, Mammoth, Wasp, Hornet, Viking.

 

After spending a lot on unwanted stuff, I have only 17,000 left. Must I buy Shaft? Is it worthy at my level?

 

I like buying shaft buy, would appreciate your kind opinions, since I am not so sure.

Shaft is not worth it. If you really want some variety, get shaft if you can afford it. Remember, M2's will become really important right around your rank...
