Railgun does work rather well on most tanks; it has good firing range, nice damage, and has good impact.

So I've decided to Get Smoky M2 at sale, and i can get a good paint for it. Im not sure if Emerald is worth it, or if i should just get Rustle.

Personally I would say yes regarding Emerald, Thunder is used quite a lot and Emerald is quite effective; it also has a small amount of protection from Twins and Railgun.

Lol I hate Railgun druggers, they just camp somewhere while drugging and spamming mines around the perimeter so no one can hit them. Personally I like thunder more since it kills tanks faster (Normally, without drugging, with drugging then Railgun is like 1 shot K.O.)

I use it for XP and pawn most of time. literally takes no skill. 2 shots and almost anything is dead....drug and anything dies but mammoth...sucks. rather use shaft where i can get a high D?L like 20+ than get 5 D/L and less points because it is a probability weapon...Result: It sucks

Haha, definitely thunder. Railgun will eventually become useless at higher levels due to the insane amount of health and good paints that everyone will have. Thunder is a good all around weapon. But, if I were you, I would get m1 twins or m1 firebird. Both are the kings of TDM or DM.

Well now, it seems like m1 thunder is gonna be better at your rank hm? well it is for now, but as you rank up, m1 rail will be better. I pwn gens in xp-k battles with my m1 rail/m2 hornet combo many times. Just yesterday I made 5k and today I made 6k cry. It's pretty good at stealing kills and helping your team get easy kills. Thunder goes great with rail for finishing off opponents. Just check yourself to see if your aim is good, that's all that matters.

In regards to @In10shnableFoul's question:

 

If you already have an M3 turret then I would aim for Emerald, however if you do not; then I would save for the desired M3 of your preference. I honestly see Thunder being used rather well at almost any rank, but what matters the most is if you do well with it and enjoy using it.

i think to use rail gun you need some skill

 

1. you should play hide & hit method (because its take litle bit time to reload)

2. you cant kill any one in 1 shot with full hp except wasp ( M0 :M0 , M1:M1 ,M2:M2 ,M3:M3 RAIL:HULL)

3. try to hit some one who already got some damage

4. if any isida behind target tank kill isida first

ThunderM1 is still effective even at Major ranks. All you need are a FEW MUs.

At your rank, definitely smoky m2. Thunder m2 gets underpowered about your rank. Though rail is good too.
