Well, if you like Isida; I would get that M2.

Fast hulls work well with it, if you've that in your garage, Isida would be a great choice to upgrade.

 

It is good in defending aswell though; backing up the defending team mates from a safe spot.

If another turret means another close range turret to you;

 

Firebird is an attack weapon, and fits on light hulls.

Freeze is slighly less good as Firebird in attacking (still good) and can defend aswell.

 

Both work well with light hulls, the speed makes up for the short range.

As defending Freeze, a medium hull is great too.

Your gamestyle is what matters here; together with the hull you choose to mount it on.

And your current turret statistics in the garage.

 

Like if there's another M1 you might want to upgrade instead of Isida; that gamestyle thing is the deciding factor.

An M0 shouldn't be upgraded to M1, instead of an M1 to M2... that's a bit of a waste of crystals from my point of view.

 

(unless you love that weapon, and totally rock with it. Having fun is more important to all of the things I stated.  :P )

I would personally suggest Ricochet, it works well in mid and short-range, turns well and is good with both team and dm battles.

You might want to consider an M1 hull, and since you like thunder hornet, maybe keep saving and wait for a hornet m1 sale when you rank up?

The kit is cheaper as 2 paints that include the kit is expensive when bought separately. The kit also contains supplies which can be useful. So, I suggest you buying the kit as all of it is in 50% discount.

I use m2 freeze and m1 hornet in my account. I currently have 44k crystals and am saving for m2 hornet. I'm considering saving for medium tank m2 kit after buying m2 hornet. Is it good? I mean, is it worth it's value? The main reasons I want that kit is because of it's paints and m2 viking. I'm not a great fan of thunder, but I can use it.

IMO, you should get the turret that fits your gameplay. Freeze is good for short maps, very sneaky weapon. Ricochet is very OP, and would kill an enemy in seconds, but can be hard to aim with at a moving target. Isida is good for XP, for it heals your opponents in return of XP. Also, it has the advantage of self damage, only con is its short range and reload. Thunder and Viking would be one of the best combinations, because both the turret AND hull have a balanced gameplay, good for every situation. Viking's versatility and Thunder's splash damage is very superior, just as long as you don't damage yourself. Just a suggestion.

Just work it out :) compare the kit price to the total price of all the individual items at 50%

 

If the kit is only slightly more expensive, then it's worth it, as you unlock the items earlier

Yep thunder is great :) and a very fun weapon to use!
