What to buy? Which is better?

It's completely up to you bit I would get prodigi over emerald

Prodigi provides a semi decent protection against shaft and thunder but cleans up when it comes to rail

Rail is really popular and can be used anywhere so I think rail protection is more important

Though emerald looks AMAZING and provides great thunder protection (helpful from splash damage) and pretty good shaft protection

My friend has both and he uses Viking thunder and he says that he would prefer prodigi to emerald most of the time

I'd say take savanna out of the picture unless you play a lot of people with smokey

Emerald doesn't have shaft protection -_-

The rail is only like 1 or 2 shots more :P and emerald has much higher thunder protection and twins?

few things i can add which may be helpful rest is for u to decide...As i am playing with Marshal and above (mostly NS battles), there is a huge popularity of smoky in DMs and CTFs for maps like Iran, Polygon, and Kungur (almost all kungur i've played has at least 40% smoky users). As you go higher up the ranks, no of thunder user decreases. And needle is definitely much better than savanna in all respect. So i would say, get a smoky paint, but u might save up for needle and survive till then, and get emerald now if you can afford two paint...and i sooo love emerald, regret not buying it...

I curretly have 200k and am about to rankup,i have Emerald,Sandstone and Prodigi(kit). They are the ones worth mentioning, shold i buy Hohloma or Loam?

oggy

Both are mainly suitable for long range maps, so yeah... I suppose you play long range maps.

Those paints are very good for your gamestyle.

Seeing you've bought Progidi in the kit; you've one or more short range guns aswell.

Sandstone fits with your Emerald and Progidi; being paints for long range.

So you've a great set of long range paints.

Loam and Hohloma on the other hand are good for short to medium range battles.

If I were your rank, I would've bought Hohloma... to add it to your tank combination for short range battles.

Loam has great protection against Firebird, but that's pretty much all...

You won't feel a lot of difference between 0 and 10% protection.

And you're close to Colonel; so you're facing enemies around that rank.

Smoky M2 unlocks at Colonel... yet another reason to prepare yourself with Hohloma paint.

I fought M2 Smoky's... they can easily compete with an M3 when properly used.

Awesome :)

Yes alright, I will get emerald, and needle when I reach that rank :)

I have enough crystals I believe, 245k, also buying thunder and viking m3 when sales come round...

But anyway thanks for advice!

Emerald a good buy? Considering I am getting Prodigy too, later on.

I had a similar dilemma, but I've changed my mind... I will get emerald, and not prodigi later. For my play style, which is thunder viking, I think emerald is more useful!

for paint sale I have a dilemma. Desert would be my first choice but it doesn't really protect from much other than ricochet, the other option for the same price would be jaguar, which looks like a good buy. I am also considering the cheeper paints, dirty and alien. So, Jaguar, Desert, Dirty, or Alien?

Jaguar has protection from Firebird and Freeze which is popular combo, so i suggest you to buy it.

Hey,

Before I go into the actual topic three things....

1) This is my second topic of the week that I started.

2) Yes. This could of gone in the "What To Buy" topic but I want a few replies.

3) Note that bits of writing in bold is information you need to know.

Right then lets get started....

So I'm a bit stuck on what M1 hull to buy, its either going to be Hornet or Hunter.

I like Hornet because of its speed, its lightweight and it goes well with Railgun. (The turret I use.)

However, I like Hunter because of the armor and weight. (it won't flip over at times.)

I'm currently at WO1 as a rank and I already have 8100 crystals, I have said to myself I will never buy crystals with real money or hack (though I would never hack this awesome game) I will earn the proper way....

Now some maths....

Currently my Hornet's speed is 9.41 and it's armor is 96.1. I MU sometimes...

Currently my Hunter's speed is 7.18 and it's armor is 113.1 I have also MU'd Hunter but only a bit.

Now lets says I pick Hornet to buy M1 and naturally I will end up getting the M3 then. At M3 Hornet you get 166.3 armor however, I can get 165 armor by buying the M1 Hunter. Then if i get M3 Hunter I wil then have 235 armor which is, well good.

Now then the speed of my Hornet at the moment is 9.41 which, I like and it is fast I have taken the flag with this speed and I quite like it. However, the speed of my Hunter at the moment is 7.18 this is a good speed but I want it to go faster and MU makes it go faster by 0.3 ect and I'm not using crystals.

Now lets says I pick Hunter M1 to buy the speed will increase by 1 second. However if I pick Hunter then go all the way to buy the M3 then the speed goes to 9.38 which is 0.3 seconds behind my Hornet at the moment which, I have said I like that speed.

Next thing is ranks, I can buy the Hornet M1 at the next rank I hit. However the Hunter M1 will be unlocked 2 ranks from now. And I need to buy the M1 Railgun so, if i buy the M1 Hornet I can start to save for Hunter M1 or I can play Railgun M1 then the Hunter M1 together if I save.

So as you can see, if I buy the M1 Hornet I will have speed but the armor for the M3 on it I can get by buying the M1 Hunter. And if I buy the M1 Hunter I will more armor which will help me when battling.

This is a topic that I have debated myself for a long time hence, why I have come here. Please give me some good advice. Please do not say "Oh get Wasp and Firebird get that M1 then you rank up faster!" No! This topic is purely based on Hunter and Hornet, no other hull.

So which one do I buy is the question? Hornet M1 or Hunter M1

Thanks, cya all on the battlefield!

Uh,

Well...

Hunter has really slow acceleration speed...

I used to be a railgunner (Wo1 - wo4)  ;)

and i had m1 hunter,

But i couldn't stand using it with my rail...

so i would vote for Hornet because it fits with railgun perfectly  ^_^

also another thing,

M1 rail is BEAST at wo3

i'd get that first  ;)

Trust me, do not get the hunter. Its enticing, but in reality it is BORING AND SLOW. Its no fun. Get the hornet.

No it's not, I been with m1 Hunter and it was excellent, Hunter m1 with thunder is beast trust me, but if you want to use rail then I recommend hornet

You have electra, so you are in no rush to get irbis. Inferno or emerald, it depends on the maps you play. Small maps inferno, medium maps emerald, though i recommend inferno due to the spike in fire and freezes...

I want to buy savanna, but im not the rank for it, and theres no way for me to be for this friday. So, should i buy hohloma or just wait for another sale?

I think I'm getting Hohloma, but it all depends how committed you are to Savanna - if you would still buy it after getting Hohloma, don't bother with this sale. However, if you would stick with Hohloma for a while, definitely worth it.
