Should I get Keeper kit or wait for a sale to get Ricochet?  I like to be aggressive in CTF mode, and I also like DM.  Titan might be a little slow, but it might b worth it.

I need a paint to protect against Thunder and Railgun. Now, I use Hornet M2 and Rail M1 (soon to be M2), and currently I am using dirty paint.

Now I was thinking sandstone but when you compare it to corrision, sandstone only offers more Rail protection. For that price difference, is it really worth it? Now, if a M2 Rail can't kill my hornet m2 in 1 hit with no paints then I could skip the rail protection and get something like cedar maybe?However, if I can get 1 hit by a rail m2 with no paints then I would need a rail paint. Please bare in mind that I am not a kit buyer so I will use paints available to my rank.

To be honest, anything will help, I wouldn't worry about paints at your rank. I would stick with dirty, it's still useful and save up your crystals. Once you reach a higher rank, then maybe think about getting a good paint

Asked this before and didn 't get any answers. Not completely to my surprise I admit, it 's pretty hardcore stuff.

Still I try it one more time. you never know... :)

 

At my next rank up and following sale (Christmas I guess) I will be getting the Hornet M3.  edit: oh! yeah!

 

This will be my only fighting hull on this account till the Hunter M3.

My question is about micro-upgrading ánd how to keep the drift as low as possible.

 

Damage will be fully micro-upgraded in time.

Weight will also be micro-upgraded a long shot.

 

My feeling is that I won 't MU much or more likely even nothing at the Turning Speed.

I 'm mounting fast rotating turrets: Thunder M3 and Smoky M2

plus I don 't care about which direction I drive my hull.

 

First question: does a lower Turning Speed reduce drifting or is there no correlation with drifting at all?

 

Two micro-upgrades are than left now: Top Speed and Acceleration.

 

How do these two affect drifting? I can imagine that a higher Top Speed will increase drifting.

A basic Hornet M3 outruns already everything expect Wasps and fellow Hornets

so if a non micro-upgraded Top Speed recuces drifting I might keep it like it is.

 

Drifting has a lot (all) to do with Lateral Acceleration, from the Wiki:

"Lateral acceleration (m/sec²) — responsible for damping of lateral speed.

The less this parameter is, the easier a tank can drift. The higher it is, the more difficult it is for a tank to move sideways."

 

Knowing this you should try to increase the lateral accelaration for less drift:

 

Is this lateral accelaration included in the overal acceleration?

 

Or is it "hidden" somewhere else and does the lateral acceleration increase when you

for example micro-upgrade the Top Speed or Turning Speed?

 

It 's a mistery to me, and I really hope someone can come up with the right technical answers.

 

 

edit: did some testing with micro-upgrades in the test-server and the only thing that really negatively affected

the handling of the Hornet M3 IMO was the increase of the turning speed.

With increasing this it went from smooth quick turns to "too much of a good thing" at my taste.

So I won 't micro-upgrade the turning speed.

 

Further parameters didn 't really affect the drifting in a negative way. So micro-upgrading them is ok.

Drifting was no issue at all b.t.w. especially on the Hornet M3: starting to really :wub: this hull.

And I feel now that on the Hornet M3 with some more training drifting can actually go from a small nuisance

to a benefit in many situations.

 

 

Still I hope someone can give me some more technical info about this, or should I better try to make contact with a Dev?

Am I missing something? That is the M0 Mammoth with the M0 Isida. A turtle slow hull with a short range turret. The only good use of this that I can think of is a healing station, but forget being able to do anything else with it.

I've just ranked up and I'm really confused on which M2 or paint I should get.

Current M2's: Hornet and Isida

I was thinking that I could get M2 Firebird and Rustle paint.

 

There is a kit "Firewall" that has M2 Firebird and M2 Hunter for only 141, 525. Is that worth getting?

 

What M2's do you suggest that I get or save up for? What are some good paints at these ranks?

@ Do you mean full MU rail? Since it does 133-199 and vanilla M3 hornet has 166 hp, you need 20% protection to guarantee that you're safe.

 

@@Lord-of-the-Snipers No clue, I would like to know too actually :P

 

@@DaVinceFTW Rustle is a good paint, offering a good and unique combination of protections. But after you get it, don't invest in any more paints till you get to M3 paints!

Ok, guys, I need help.  :(

 

I can't buy anymore, so I need a very long-term plan, because I don't have crystals to waste. 

 

Right now, I mainly use M1 Wasp, and M1 Freeze/M1 Railgun + Alien/Dirty. That's because I mainly capture flags or snipe enemy tanks.

 

Sometimes, I use M1 Viking and M1 Thunder, and the more I use it, the more I like it.  :P

 

I am pretty skilled at circling enemy tanks and not super aggressive while attacking (I'm pretty patient), and using Wasp has taught me how to sneak away with flags and NOT die. I'm not very good at sniping, but that's just a matter of learning skill (I'm getting better!)

 

I am not very skilled with Thunder/Viking, but it is a fun combo to use. And it is a the best drugging tank.   :)

 

I don't have many supplies right now, but I'm sure it'll come standard when I rank and get more presents!  :lol:

 

I NEED a long term plan (M2's and even M3's) for my playing style. This includes paints. I need high quality paints that are somewhat cheap.

 

Remember, I can't buy crystals, so I can pretty much only buy 1 or 2 long term combinations on sales, until I get really skilled and have the time to play more.

I recommend hsaving up your Crystals for M1's. Upgrade the hulls and guns YOU like the most ;)

After some time now i have 19876 crystals for m1s. now my m1s are shaft and mammoth. i am looking forward to buying something at new year sale.What shall i buy? my choices: m1 isida,ricochet,firebird hornet and maybe wasp. please help me decide between wasp and hornet.NOTE : im not good at using wasp. my favourite maps are : Serpuhov,polygon, silence,cross,kungur,highland.i always attack and defend only when we are losing.i play mainly CTF,DM and CP in polygon.i will buy isida richochet m1 for sure. i want advice on other options i have  :).
