Railgun m1 or Hronet m1? Which will I buy first?

Hornet unlocks first and is a really useful hull but I would recommend wasp m1 with a bit of micro upgrades on protection with rail m1

I can buy any 2 of them. So which one should I buy?

Cause of recent updates I started to play CP battles a lot. I have 1 heavy hull 1 medium and 1 light.

Tundra or Digital? I'm far away from being a capitan, but I'm not desperate for paints :P. Digital has excellent camoflauge for Summer Maps like Serpuhov and Kungur, which I play a lot, and it's cheap for its rank (About 40,000 crystals on Sale). But Tundra is so much cheaper (17,000 crystals on sale), and it has Quality Railgun protection, though its camoflauge is useless for anything besides Noise and no one uses long range turrets there (I don't play Winter Maps). Which one should I get? I'm not desperate for paints! But, I will need some Railgun protection once I get to Capitan for sure.

I would recommend Tundra as a paint, but as for Dictator, it depends on your gameplay.

If You Dont Worry About The Price (Or Crystals):- Buy Digital

Digital Is Advanced Tundra + Minuscale Shaft Protection

 

Protections Of BOth Paints:-

Tundra:-  10% Smoky + 30% Railgun (Good !! )

Digital:-  13% Smoky + 35% Railgun (Awesome !! ) + 10 % Shaft

I don't like Hunter. I've tried it out in test server and I hate it's turning. I think it's really ugly looking. You may disagree with me, but that's my opinion on Hunter.

I do enjoy fast, bulky tanks with corresponding speedy guns.

My current set is Hunter-Isida or Hunter-Freeze. (M0 of course and +10 in speed)

I realize quite a lot of people suggest Hornet combinations instead. I'm not sure what to invest on, hunter or hornet?

 

In my inventory, I have got Wasp, Hunter, Mammoth and Viking. Wasp was quite too frail for me and I was wondering if this is a recurring problem for Hornet.

 

Would you suggest buying Hornet or should I still to the unorthodox Hunter combination?

Rico and twins are quite similar so only get one and get fire. I would say twins and fire for cp. As twins has unlimited firing and has good range and firebird has amazing damage and burn time so it can take out all the enemys that are controlling the point.

As you are getting into m1s i would either go wasp and viking as your m1 hulls or just hornet. Even though you said you dont like wasp i would give it a try as it is still a great m1 (with a few MU) at wo4. It also works great with isida and freeze as you can zip around healing teammates or freezing the opposition and flying off with the flag

in these suggestion, Fire M3 and micro-upgrading it is the best choice i guess;

but there is another way, save up these crys and buy new turret m3 as soon as they implemented.

Smoky m2 vs Firebird m2?

Well, here we go:

Pros and cons of each.

Pros of smoky- Allowed in light format, seems like a railgun would get the hang of it better than with other turrets, and you can knock off aim. Also more versatile.

Cons: some paints against smoky out there, would need to buy m1 as well and at a later rank.

Firebird pros- I have m1 already, i've wanted it a while, heard it is OP, can spray multiple enemies, I do not have short range m2 turrets atm, and I could get it at new year sale.

Cons-not allowed in light format, maybe I am better at long range and used to it so I would have different gameplay weapons.

 

Theres more I could add to each but thats a good start.

The maps I play are sandbox (XP), sometimes ones like polygon and some like that (DM).

Thank you for your suggestions. I've tried a friend's account with M2 Hornet and M2 Isida, but I'm not really getting the hang of it. I mainly do CTF battles as those are my favourite.

 

The M2 Hornet is easily killed by a railgun, and I find the twin fire annoying me a lot. It's really fast and I was able to outrun the opponent while they were shooting at me, so I do think it's a pretty good hull. It's easily taken down by long distance shooting tanks though and that is annoying when you keep getting shot down without knowing where the fire was from.

 

So well, is the lack of strength because of my inexperience? Maybe when I play more, i'll be able to gain some skills on manipulating my tank. Because I'm not sure about the speed of a M2/3 hunter, if anyone has any experience with it?

 

I did try out viking for a while, the lack of speed annoyed me a lot. I have heard that Wasp is a good M1 to use but in terms of a long run tank would you suggest that?

 

Of course, like all newbies, I'm pretty short on crystals. I've heard people talking about some sort of sales and I was wondering if someone could enlighten me? Maybe then I'll get hornet and really try everything with people of my group and choose my favourite ;D

Imo, you don't really need it with your garage :) viking is a great buy though if you want something. Other than that, save your pot for m3s!
