What to buy? Which is better?

Well thanks all.

So what I've bought at this Christmas is Viking M2 and Thunder M3.

And I've got to say, I totally underestimated Viking M2. It's amazing!

Kind of good thing I did not choose Hornet, since the 166 HP is not enough. . . .And I was too used to Wasp.

 

I'm going to choose not to buy Emerald paint. The thing is, Railguns annoy me much more, especially when they drug. Without Railgun paint, those guys are going to OHKO me. Besides, I already know the Thunder-mentality and can verse against other Thunders quite comfortably already.

 

Which leaves me with 84,000 crystals. If anything, Ricochet is the biggest threat to me with Viking's larger size and Ricochet's damage. But I'm not going to "downgrade" in paints to use Spark. ..Closest thing is Hohloma with 20% Ricochet protection, but whatever. Railgun paint is most important.

 

And I can save up for things like if perhaps I'd like to go with Machine Gun. In which I can earn more crystals and perhaps get it to M3 on a big sale. If Machine Gun happens to have infinite range, then it's a MUST-HAVE gun for me. Or I can automatically M3 my Viking once I rank up.

 

The only possible thing that would've made me even happier would be M3'ing my Freeze. The Freeze/Viking combination is absolutely perfect for maps like Noise, Silence, and the like. However, I guess M2 Freeze is still viable. :D

Especially with all those nasty Druggers around.

 

So 84,000 crystals left. I'm planning on saving them for Machine Gun or M3 Viking, but do you think it is better off spent on MU'ing?

It's 50% off on the initial MU price, and an 80% off on Speed-ups.

MU your thunder, I'm almost 100% sure that's the right thing to do with this awesome sale! Plus, thunder m3 gets so much stronger with MUs.

 

The first few steps, the MU speedups are rather expensive. Start MUing right now and wait for the MU to finish without speeding up - you might save a but this way :)

viking+mammoth m2 or hornet m3?

i am ranking today,

i play xp and mostly ctf and cp .

i like small and medium maps -_-

i have smoky rail isida freeze m2. :(

Hornet m3 is OK, and I suppose if you play xp its perfect!

Should I buy digital right now or wait and buy either irbis or emerald?? Railgun is proving to be a pain in battles and I only have python at the moment MU'd to 38% protection to freeze. 

 

My main combo I'll start using as I rank is m3 isida and m3 hornet.

I wouldn't get digital, it'll only serve you in the short term :)

Now im torn between which of these to buy. I could buy m3 wasp and if im lucky, I'll get x2 card tommorow and buy me both wasp and savanna.

 

My garage at the momment:

M2: Ricochet, Isida, Firebird.

M3: Hornet, Viking, Smoky, Thunder, Railgun.

Paints: Metallic, Spark, Rustle, Inferno and Needle.

I had a hard time deciding too, but with M3. I think they're both good, different type of gameplay. I went for Is I myself, and it's alright at base m3. But it looks from statistics as though it gets much stronger to m4, so I'm looking forward!

I looked at M4 Isida's stats, and I must say: Wow!

 

M4 Hornet + M4 Isida will be a awesome combination.

 

Looking at M4 Freeze's stats, that rotation speed is fast. Maybe even too fast.

 

M4 Isida's DPS: 64

M4 Freeze's DPS: 68

 

M4 Freeze's reloading time: 11 seconds

M4 Isida's reloading time: 10 seconds

 

M4 Freeze's RS: 195.6

M4 Isida's RS: 134.6

 

M4 Isida's HPS: 66

 

I think M4 Isida wins that one out by a lot.

 

The questions is though: It seems Isida is probably better off on Wasp, not Hornet. That 50% self-healing rate at M4 is a lot. Probably benefits M4 Wasp more than M4 Hornet. Wasp flips a lot more though, especially with the new auto-aim update, so it could be rendered useless.

 

I must say, right now M2 Isida is beating M2 Freeze, considering those awesome stats at M4.

 

The problem: We all know Isida is an attack based turret, but it can only kill one person at a time. This is where Freeze comes on top: it can damage multiple defenders, whereas Isida can only damage 1 defender at a time. Isida's DPS almost mirrors Freeze and is not even that far away from matching Firebird. So that might not be much of a problem.

 

So far, Isida is beating Freeze. It is also nice to know Hornet is a good flag-carrying hull, so I can mainly attack with that combo.

M3 Wasp flips a lot. If you are comfortable using it, get it! :)

 

Never pass up on a tank you love. I would say if you get M3 Wasp, Savannah is a better fit for it, not Prodigi.

 

If you don't get M3 Wasp, stick with getting those 2 paints and get M3 Hunter later on when you rank. Prodigi really doesn't help M3 Wasp at all really.

@DAZIVETROSSIA: That downvote was accidental.

I'd suggest Viking. But if you play in big maps all the time and want to still stick with speed, then Hornet.

 

You have 1 light hull and 2 heavy hulls. A Medium Hull can let you break new grounds.

Make sure to not spend too much on M1's. You're going to need M2's in the future to keep up with others.

The question is, which hull do I get to compliment it.

 

I'm getting M2 Hornet, but in the future, with M3's and M4's, which tank compliments Isida the best?

Generally, Hornet/Isida is the best combination at M3/M4 with Isida according to a lot of high ranked players.

I'm slowly approaching the ranks where I can play against brigadiers and better. If I have Cedar and Tundra, should I get any other paints? (I prefer paints that have a high percentage of resist to one turret, also I plan to get Digial, but not now..)

@Denex: Well to be honest both Wasp/Isida and Hunter/Isida are pretty good combinations. So it depends on your gameplay. If you're a speed-a-holic and prefer to think "outside the box," and can effectively control Wasp's speed and light weight (unstableness), then sure. I mean, who needs to kill a Mammoth sitting on a flag when you can wait for an opening while staying alive, find a ramp to jump on top of him, steal the flag, and run like hell, right? All the while trying not to flip over and dodging enemy shots.

Then maybe drop a Mine here, on top of that dude, and then dive for a 20 feet fall to land on my flag base thereby successfully capturing it!

If that's your attitude and can control Wasp, then perhaps Wasp. It's a risky purchase that can break you, or make you great. It can ruin your garage, or it can make you pretty darn awesome.

Make sure you can control the Wasp on Nitro too. Don't want you to go flying off the map. Haha.

 

But Hunter is a relatively safe purchase. With good armor, more speed to differentiate it from other Medium hulls, and Isida to regenerate its health, it's a powerful force - especially on drugs. It fits naturally with a LOT of other turrets, unlike Wasp.

 

And for Gold Boxes, being a Wasp you're going to have to avoid getting into the fray of the battle, and instead hide until the moment is right. Then try to get on top of everyone or simply go for it full speed. Being a Hunter you have more armor to withstand shots, and more pushing power than Wasp.

 

That's why it's kind of tough for me to recommend Wasp to anyone. It's one of those guns that can make you or break you in my opinion.

 

But agreed, Hornet/Isida is one of the most common ones. And there's a reason for that. It's pretty powerful being at 11 speed at M3, with 166 HP.

 

@DAZIVETROSSIA: Are you sure you want to MU an m1 item? Don't you want to save crystals for M2's, M3's, Paints, and then MU your m3 items?

And you do realize that only FULLY Micro-upgraded parameters will earn you any kind of discount on the next Modification, right?

 

If you must MU something, then maybe wait until Ricochet or Smoky gets to M2, since their M3's unlock at the end-game ranks. I mean seriously, Ricochet M3 unlocks at Commander rank, the rank right before Generalissimo! The Hornet is an easy M2 since it's only 70k.

 

@Loackie: You have Tundra already. You sure you want to go with Digital? Back when I was lower ranked, I persevered with Forester all the way until Digital, because I thought that the gap between Tundra and Digital was too small to be worth the crystals.

Since I use Wasp/Isida primarily, controlling my Wasp isn't an issue. I used M4 Wasp/M4 Isida on the test server a while back, and I must say: it was a pretty awesome combination for attacking. The problem is, with the new update, you have little margin for error with wasp. It is really easy to flip, and you can't dodge every shot. Oh well, I'll just need to get better at dodging then.
