Agreed,

my hunter goes down with 2 M1 rail shots without tundra,

 

but with tundra it need 3 M2 and 2 M3 shots to go down

 

If Im lucky and the M3 doesnt shoot at less than average damage,well,3 shots :)

I hear great things about both but Thunder inflicts self-damage and without a paint it's kinda major (no pun intended)...(Hunter-Thunder user myself, splash is already quite risky)

@DaVince: If you won't get bored of Isida, and like healing people, etc. etc., then Isida.

I wouldn't really recommend Thunder for Hornet, but I guess you can get it if you have a secondary hull - maybe a Viking or something.

 

Lots of people seem to think of Isida as a boring weapon. So .. .yeah. . .

Though in my opinion it's not boring. :D

You must be asking the people who know you because these turrets are completely different and go with completely different play styles. In general, you should know which style you are more comfortable with or more interested in developing. Face to face short range, the Isida is more powerful. This should always be the case for all short range turrets.

Hornet, especially just at M2 (Don't MU things unless it's an M3 item) won't be fit for Thunder unless you're one of those lucky people who get Prodigi paint. With that, it's decent since you have major protection from Railgun, and a good chunk from Thunder. It's OK if you have Emerald, but not the best. It's only 10% from Railgun, and it'll only help you against rival Thunders.

 

However, with Isida you'll be an increasingly annoying enemy in close-ranged. You keep inflicting damage, and you just won't die due to the self-heal. It makes Hornet last a whole lot longer, and the short-range isn't a big deal due to your high speed. Not to mention you can bring it into big maps without fear. Even if you can't kill anyone, you can heal crucial defenders and flag capturers/holders which also gives you points.

And if you have a good paint, well you'll be even more annoying. You can attack people directly (inflicting damage to enemies), or indirectly (healing teammates). That's the best thing I find about Isida. Someone has Irbis? Someone's a drugger? Heal your teammates and let your teammate druggers deal with it.

 

Also, I absolutely love hiding, and healing a teammate after he/she has been shot from a Shaft or Railgun. I immediately heal them up to full HP, and it probably annoys the enemy so much because of a sniper's long reload. And all the while you gain points. So you'll be pretty annoying for enemies.

 

But Thunder is still a pretty solid choice though. I own it, and after MU'ing the M3 Thunder 10/12 on reload, it's a pretty fun weapon. The only downside with it is paints, and self-damage. When an enemy (Who isn't a Wasp) has Emerald paint, your damage is minimal and almost useless. Meanwhile they can crash into you and make you kill yourself pretty much. It's a good support weapon no doubt, with its constant firing and splash damage. If you find a good angle, you can really deal some big damage.

 

If you can find a way to play with Thunder/Hornet and prefer that, then I guess you can do it that way.

Though if you don't find Isida as boring, I'd suggest that.

Being highly versatile, it's one of the best M2s in my opinion. I use it more than my Freeze M3 (probably because I suck at attacking...). Plus, it doesn't necessarily need MUs at all to become deadly. You'll love it to bits! :D

You can take my word. Its amazing and only slightly worse than m3. It's very versatile and can take out anything.

So there is a question. I ranked today and now i can finnaly buy dictator m3..xD

 

Right now i have dictator m0 but i have crystals to buy m1,m2,m3 on 50% sales.

 

But i would have dictator so i could catch golds xD. Plus its stron enough (now i have viking - mu that has HP like m3 dictator). So main reason to buy would be golds and that its strong when ubgraded

 

So all good unless i wanted to have wasp even more xD. Cuz i never played big maps cuz i have viking. on test server i used wasp and i won every battle ( highways, esplanade) all big maps.

 

So what to buy now. Dictator is great but its again slow so i will be able to play same maps like with viking. If i get wasp i will be able to play well all big maps but its weak and not so good at golds.

 

So what do u think. O and i would have like smoky ( ubgraded a lot), isida or freeze for those hulls.

 

I like the most Polygon CP, but maybe cuz i had the combo for that game. So there dictator would be better. But i dont know for large maps cuz i never played them so much

 

 

So:   WASP  or DICTATOR

Highly personal opinion from a noob: dictator, at m2, feels amazing. It is not because i mued its hp to 250, but for two factors: it rotates so nicely! In this respect it feels a lot like lighter tanks. And its rocking ability is amazing. I have used wasp and viking at m1. So my opinion is not balanced, but i love dictator. And one more point, after you buy it, it will take some time to get a hang of it, more than other tanks like viking. I remember my initial disappointment when just after buying i played a noise ctf and tried to climb the ramp with this big hull: it was a disaster. But now i play better with it. So, get dictator!

Dictator also suits your Smoky. the high impact force together with the higher turret position makes your Smoky superb in knocking people of aim, or even flipping them.

OK, so I have the decision to make out of the two, Hornet M3 or Emerald.

 

At first I was going to go for emerald as I've got thunder and the splash was annoying but since I've been playing XP quite a lot I had been thinking about getting hornet M3. I currently use Thunder M3 with viking M2. I'm really uncertain on what I should get as i'm getting close to the next rank, Major General.
