Well if you're chasing crystals and or golds as your focus to one day have enough equipement to feel you have enough to actually show your skill and teamwork playing the game, you end up always having nerfed equipement, till you have everything. Then you find that the only games that are consistantly played to test skill and teamwork are XP and XP / BP games :blink: and the rest of your garage sits gathering dust in your garage because all the other games are mainly a crystal hunt.

Hi guys,

 

I have M1 Hornet/Rico. (I intend to get M2 Firebird at some point regardless of anything for the cases where my team is in bad shape and needs short range help). I naturally play mid field unless offense or defense needs help.

 

Now looking at my next hull with the Rico, I can't see anything to look forward to. M2 Hornet is barely better than what I have (the only advantage is that it barely crosses the threshold to withstand one M2 Railgun hit.) M2 Wasp is still too far. The others seem too slow to balance the extra protection.

 

I think the best hulls (for my purposes are: M0 Viking, M1 Hornet, M2 Wasp, M3 Hunter.

 

What does everyone who can give some advice think?

i use wasp m1 quite oftenly and when those pesky m1 rails hit me i die in 1 shot almost 50% of the time... so should i get the paint corrosion or tundra.. Im also gonna get m1 thunder on the 25% off sale

I would get tundra because it has more protection from railgun and additional protection from smoky.

I think you shud take advantage of the MU sale to MU your wasp to about 109 Hp, this is more cost effective than buying tundra and will prevent you from being one shotted by m1 rail anytime. (At least this is what I have done)

Hammer m2 bro!

Its good and matches with hornet m2 and Viking m1.

Thunder has disadvantages and kinda less power. Thunder m2 good with some double damages.

Go for hammer m2, its cool.

If you really, and always play in Polygon control point mode go for thunder m2 as you can have massive damage and gain lots of xp.

Ricochet is good too.

Thunder is less powered now. You won't gain big advantages in large maps with thunder.

For you if you do play in polygon CP go for thunder m2.

Twins is better for pressure and consistent firepower, while smoky is meant to be stable mid-range damage. Both do great at using the knockback to harass others, but Twins does a better job imo

I personally like tundra. With my hornet m1 (now m2) and tundra a m3 rail would take 2 shots to kill me

What you mean? Here i will make it simple Viking+Thunder M2 or Freeze+Mammoth M2

Freeze+Mammoth is totally useless when it's m2, but Thunder+Mammoth m2 is pretty strong. At this rank you should think about m3 things so I recommend you to upgrade m3 instead of m2+m2

Thunder does ask less skills while Hammer requires a lot to know how to control it usefully. ^^

(1) Spend it all on MUs for M3 Thunder during the MU sale (should get pretty close to M3.5; I already have a few on damage/reload)

(2) Spend ~70k on MUs, saving 80k for M3 Hornet when a 50% sale rolls around

(3) Spend ~20k on MUs, saving 80k for M3 Hornet and 50k for M2 Railgun when a 50% sale comes

MU does actually mean that it's micro so if you split crystals and MU 10 items, you'll not feel any changes, so I am 110% for (1)

I will only comment on the saving part. You should easily be able to earn 100-200k crystals by the next 50% sale, so you do not need to save up for that.
