Being a buyer only makes it a waste of money instead of a waste of crystals. :P

I think if there is a huge sale (50+%) on MUs, it may make sense to get the first few steps if you know that doing that can make you survive a single rail hit or kill something in 3 hits instead of 4, etc. but doing it blindly is silly.

If u are not a buyer and even if u do it at 75% sale. is silly.

 

u dont need mu at your ranks. all u need save more and more and get some m3 hulls and turret . then u cam mu. i didn't mu anything i came to this rank very easily.

What i need to buy first?

Isida m2 or hhornet m2.

it depends on ur garage and fav maps. isida is good for ranking fast and earning crystals fast. if u have any mid hull like hunter m1 or viking m1. u can get isida. and m2 gun at ur rank will help u to dominate battle.

Agreed. MU costs stack up quite quickly, other than maybe the first 2-3 steps, I wouldn't upgrade until m3

The first 5 at sales won't hurt. I spent 5,000 crystals only on Smoky M1's critical chance's 5 steps and 5 steps on Wasp M1's health on the New Year Sale, as well as speeding them up.

I disagree. Say you have M0 turret and you spend on it 1000 cry. This 1000 cry will not get you anywhere when buying an M1 of that turret. You will most likely recover those 1000 cry over a month or whatever, but if you spend 30,000 cry MUing your M0 turret, you are completely out of your mind. Even if you completely waste those 1000 cry, so what?

Should I buy m4 ricochet or m4 smoky? I play in small maps like island and ping pong and I use titan m3.

 

 

M3 dictator. I think it is more op, especially if MU'd. Fully MU'd m3 dictator protection (330) is almost as strong as titan m3 (337.5 not MU'd). Dictator is also taller, giving you an advantage to get golds. Fully MU'd m3 protection doesn't even reach 200 (180). M3 smoky is also an op turret so it will go well combined with m3 dictator.

Anyway yes I think you are right about the size of the map, and also the mode. For example, on Island CP you'll see many heavy hulls, in which case as you say with rico your charge will run out. But on CTF you might see faster hulls

IMTOTEP, I'm afraid you're wrong. Upgrading M1 to at most 5 steps (on sales) is a very good idea. Just make sure you don't upgrade one when you're too close to an M2! (Freeze M1 is not a good choice for MUing because M2 Freeze unlocks just four ranks later.)

Thunder (32%) Freeze (20%) Isida (10%)  - 90 500 crystals

All-around-ish protection from Thunder, Freeze, and Firebird:

 

Firebird (36%) Freeze (10%) Ricochet (10%) Thunder (10%) - 102 500 crystals

Shaft (30%) Railgun (25%) Freeze (20%) Thunder (20%) - 276 000 crystals

IMTOTEP is wrong when it comes to smoky. He may be basing his view on M2 Freeze, which upgrades from M1 to M2 in 4 low ranks. However, for Smoky , M1 to M2 , takes a half million XP. Which is several months(3-6) of playing, as compared to Freeze M1 to M2 which could be done in 2 weeks.

 

But no matter, he is more importantly wrong overall, when it comes to upgrades, as you can't make Gizmo rank in 5-6 weeks by his idea of no MU upgrades, for a typical player, no matter what weapons are used. Gizmo takes 1.4M XP, that is quite a few tanks destroyed.

 

Not upgrading Smoky M1 to MU5-7 as a constant smoky user , would probably increase your time playing to make M2(Colonel) by 50%.  IMO. To spend 20K or so on the first 5-7 Smoky M1 upgrades, to save 1-3 months of playing to make coronel is perhaps the best bargain in TO.

 

I have given this subject some serious consideration as I am in these same ranks and have run an  M1 smoky from MU 0 to  5-7 MU upgrades. However my playing style and maps, converted me to a Rico/Vulcan player. Smoky is nice but it can't throw out the damage I like. And my "lag" often interfered with using such a precision weapon in the "shoot and scoot" mode.

That's true, but in terms of paints usage, more people tend to go anti-freeze, and less hammer protection. In CPs, there's way too many thunders, through. Freeze is nice if the enemy bunch up together...But Hammer kills fast on 1 to 1... which is why I'm undecided which kit to M4.

:D , I would. much as I like Smoky since it is closest to real tank weaponry*, Rico with those bouncing and homing shots is truly OP(if you can think about/know those shot angles continuously ;) ), and it also can fight close-in weapons like freeze fire Isida hammer and  twins. 

 

 Rico M1, Titan M1, and dirty paint , is my tank of choice. I don't grab flags much, but I usually D/L at 2:1 or better. I don't play DM as I like team battles, but DM is prolly the best place for this combo.

 

I am no constant drugger , but I use them as needed, I have spent  $10.47  twice a month(to buy 82K crystals) in 3 months on the game. I don't use repair in a shoot-out, as I consider that real drugging and a game imbalance caused by solely player money levels and negates the need for skill. (cheating , basically)

 

M1 rico would also work well on M1 Dictator. IMO. It prolly does better than Titan on many maps/battle configs, I don't have it so I can't say. It may even be better overall.

 

I am waiting on ranking  for M2 Dict, AND A SALE, perhaps I will buy that then.
