Not as much as you might think.....tankers that I know of were saving for different Turrets or Hulls before Vulcan came out.

I do not recall seeing an Isida getting the top score in Poly CP. The thing is that if you heal others, you get extra score and exp and so they do unless they are flipped. By doing so, you may be able to increase the team score, but remember that you would be healing people instead of killing others, not on top of it. So it may be useful in large maps because you can't easily kill people with short range.

wrong , i saw many isida dictator and isida viking combo scoring top in polygun cp. all u need to know how to use it. if u can use it, its the most effective short range turret in small maps.

If you are planning on Hunter, I suggest Hammer. And once you get to Captain, get M2 for both of em. B)

Thunder or Hammer was one of my biggest decisions in the game-You need to tell me your play style, too.

 

Let's go Polygon. If you camp near the center (in the little.....................................cave?), use Hammer as you can deal a lot of damage without taking splash damage (like with thunder), then back up and hide while reloading. If you tend to camp near the higher ramps, use Thunder. (This is for CP, the only mode I play in Polygon.)

 

At your level, Hammer would most like be more effective with drugs...Able to do immense amounts of damage, and you can run away while reloading. 

 

Sorry if that's all over the place, I had to think and type all of that in like 2 minutes.

Wait for a 50% sale, and get Hammer and Viking M3. If you have any left over, Hornet M3 would be my next choice, and Isida M3 is a good Turret for points and XP.

Yes, it is a very good Turret for points and XP. I suggest however, that you do not buy Freeze M3 if you already have Isida M3.

I was planning on Freeze m3 because it has about the same DPS (not counting the burn) as Fire m2, but it can fire much longer...I'm really undecided cause I have 600k and with all my purchases I've currently planned out it's like 670k with a 50% discount...

In my opinion, which will differ from others' opinions:

 

Highland:

Freeze, Isida (defense/support)

Railgun, Shaft (camping)

Hammer, (attack)

 

Noise:

Hammer, Freeze, Shaft, Isida (defense/support)

Ricochet, Thunder (camping)

Firebird, Hammer, Twins (attack)

 

Note that this is all based on my experience, skill, and strategy, and your tactics and favorite positions with Turrets might differ.

Ricochet is my main Turret for all types of gameplay, it works well for me, but Hammer or Freeze would also be useful for your rank.

Plus, Freeze unlocks at WO5, it's the first M2 Turret to unlock. Hammer M2 unlocks 2 ranks later, and it's a powerhouse.
