Depends on your combo! If you plan on going for the point, something with reasonable short ranged protection like zeus, taiga rock etc would probably be decent. Isida's not as common or deadly as the other short Rangers

 

If you wanna snipe at the point, like me with my thunder, something like clay/emerald would be a good pick!

Just figured out that at the sale i would have enough crystals to buy m1 viking or m1 hornet with m1 ricochet now i just need to know which is better for ricochet m1?

If you like DM's and midfielding, then get Viking. If you want to capture flags, be an aggressive (but short-lived) attacker, and/or want to buy m1 Railgun for XP (though you'll need to buy the m2 to do so), get Hornet. (Personally, I'd prefer Viking, but choose whatever you want) :D

 

 

My advice get m1 twins you will never regret it .. trust me with all my new accounts i use it now.. its the best gun for your rank and much better than freeze m2

Buy Freeze, unless all you have is med+heavy hulls, if you do, buy Freeze and Hornet.

 

M2 Freeze comes along pretty quick.

 

Forget Vulcan, it has been nerfed,,, more than Freeze :lol:

Do you like defending or attacking? For attacking, get hornet, and for defending, get viking. I honestly think rico hunter is really good, so think about that <3

You have one each of light, medium, and heavy hulls, which is good. As for turrets, I would stick with Firebird for short range (unless you really like healing your teammates, then go for Isida), Smoky and Thunder for Mid range. Thunder can also be used for long range, but it is much better at medium. Only get Rail M3 if you want to do XP matches. 

 

MU the damage on you smoky M2 as soon as possible after you get it. Really crank up on its damage to make it a beast until you can get M3 Smoky, at which time hit up the reload time to make it fire one round per second.

 

Really focus on only one or two turrets and hulls. Trying to have three different turrets and three different hulls at the same time will be difficult, especially if you want to MU at all. Also, if you can manage with the noob paints you have right now you should wait until you hit Marshal or above before buying another paint (Emerald is great when it first unlocks, but fully MUed Clay is better).

 

As for your question, Ricochet would go well with the hulls that you have, and it got a lot better from the rebalance.

Rico , works better with a heavier hull as you often get in shoot-outs with it so you need the better armor. Plus Rico can bounce back and the damage can be fairly serious with a light hull.

 

Hunter/Vik/Dic/Tit, are the only hulls I would put a Rico on. No lights hulls, and Mam is too slow for Rico.

dont get rico, get smoky/twins/hammer/fire for your m2 and titan/hunter/viking m2, < those listed would be most effective at your rank

I just ranked to Captain and I now have 96k. If I get my contest prize on time, I will have 131k.

I currently own M2 Hornet and Isida. I also use Railgun and Thunder a lot. I was leaning towards Fortress Kit but it will cost something around 145k on sale, so that is out of question.

My M1 Hulls are Mammoth, Viking and Wasp, all of which I can't have M2 now.

My M1 turrets are Firebird, Smoky, thunder and Railgun. Everything else is M0.

I usually play Polygon and Noise.

What do you guys suggest? I am open to all options.

RIco M2 is fantastic if you get it when it first unlocks. Now that you are several ranks past that, it would be better to wait until you could buy M1/M2/M3 all at the same time.
