I suggest you to NEVER MU m1s, only m3s. You already have a light hull, you need a medium one. I would say Hunter. I have used Viking m2 in an old account, and in this one, Hunter m2. I can say with pride, I have never loved a hull as much as Hunter. Its very versatile, imo the best hull in the game, and is second to dictator in taking golds.

For Hornet M1, you can upgrade the protection by 10.5 points for 5030 crystals. To get Hornet M2 with +19.8 protection points, you need to pay 70500. You get other things with it, but are you serious that getting more than half that protection for 5k crystals is not a good deal? 5030 crystals will not bankrupt you even if you wanted to buy Hornet M2, but do not do that upgrade the same day you want to buy Hornet M2.

 

Like everything else, sometimes upgrades make sense and sometimes not.

With a fast light hull like wasp, you should use turrets with high damage and long reload time so you can hide between hits. In that Thunder and Railgun are better than Smoky. Thunder DPS is about 30% higher than Smoky DPS and it has splash damage with it.

Heavy hulls are not good in an intense battle unless everybody on the team (or most) have heavy hulls or you do not care where you are. Otherwise, it would take you forever to get where you want to be and chances are you wouldn't make it alive. Also a Mammoth or Titan with a Railgun is very silly, so it depends on what turret you are using, what map, what game mode, play style, etc.

I get most of the golds with my Viking. Reason: It's very stable and heavy so this prevents it from getting flipped. And it's width helps you to climb on others easily.Just don't allow others to climb on you. :)

Yes you have to have a 20% paint with an M2 Hornet for XP, because this gives you 165 armor , which is more than max dam. for rail M3 164. All tanks in XP have to have enough protection not to be one-shotted by rail .

 

So you might be looking at another 21 K needed in 5 days to buy fracture the cheapest 20% rail paint,

 

so that is 40k or so, You might just need to decide if which combo you want the most vic/thunder or the xp combo and fracture. 

 

If you can't make 20-40K don't buy fracture or the hornet and buy later at full price 40

 

If you go vic/thun you might buy cedar on Paint day.

I can agree with this. Basically what you are trying to do with MU's on M1 Hornet(118), is to be strong enough not to be one shotted by shaft(135) or rail (115)of the same level with maybe adjusting for a few MU's .

 

You can also add paint protection, so 118 + 10.5 + say 10% paint = 140 or so (M1 Hornet)
