What to buy? Which is better?

Hello again.  As a Firebird and Smoky player, I am worried about the road into higher ranks; until the ranks of Major and Lt. Colonel, for instance, many M2 modifications will be available for weapons that aren't Twins, Shaft, Firebird, or Smoky.  I really love playing with Firebird and Smoky, and I don't feel the need to add another turret; yet, until I get M2's for my two turrets, I'll be annihilated by all the other players with M2 equipment, consequently discouraging me from persevering further in Tanki.  I suppose that MU's would have to do, but I am on a tight budget and am not willing to spend my crystals on fully micro upgrading my M1 stuff to M2 (besides, it's best to fully micro upgrade M3's).  Should I take up another turret?  If so, what turret should I get?  If not, what else is there that I can do?  Thanks.

 

 

P.S.  I have slight familiarity (far from PRO) using Railgun, Thunder, and Vulcan.  I also use Hornet and Viking (both M1), and I have about 50,000 crystals right now.

Good question. If anything, go for a cheap M2; like Freeze or Isida for instance. Then, go for Fire and  Smoky M2.

It surely depends on the maps you mostly play in since you're enumerating weapons from a different class in terms of distance. If you're getting your first m3 tank, I'd go for Viking as it works well in all types of maps instead of Hornet which is rather useless in small maps. Smoky is, for me personally, a rather boring weapon to use. It doesn't really have a special power you can use smartly since the critical hit is random. Thunder's splash damage and firebird's burning effect make these weapons very interesting. If you need to choose between Firebird and Thunder, the maps you mostly play in will most probably be decisive.

If you don't like to use other turrets, it's wise not buying them, but as you mentioned the m2 modifications of the weapons you prefer are not available as soon as the other weapons which indeed is a little problem as players with m2 weapons can annihilate you more easily. Maybe you can MU some parameters to make yourself a bit stronger, or you can buy the cheapest m2 weapon that's available. Check what's cheapest, the cheapest m2 weapon or micro-upgrading some parameters of one of your weapons.

I HAVE TWINS AND HUNTER M1 ITSS SOOO GOOD! Dictator would win in a battle but its less mobile and easier to hit.

I've got it and I must say it's a really good weapon, though a bit boring. You just stand there and keep shooting, but it's very powerful!

I know your'e a higher rank than myself, but I strongly suggest Smoky and then viking if that is a possibility. You didn't have it listed..... If you cant get this, then go for firebird/viking IMO.

Hammer M1 is really good for short range combat, as it deals tons of damage and can knock of enemy aim. Downside, however, is slow reload time. All in all, I say you should still buy it, or maybe Twins M1.

Well my brother also bought twins and we have some another similar turrets so I don't think it is a good idea. About hammer's reload speed, after the recent updates hammer's reload speed have increased as well as it's damage

In my opinion you should go for hammer M2... It depends on your playing style. But hammer is not good for big maps. I bought isida M2 and i regret it :/ Or railgun if you are pro with it :)

I welcome toning down the fire and freeze aftereffect. It used to be that you kill a Firebird, and it respawns and witnesses your death of the afterburn it caused before it died. The same thing was the case with the Freeze.

 

I am sorry that Tanki was down today.

All are equally good in their own ways. Which one is best depends on the maps you play.

Small = Hammer, Medium = Smoky/Thunder, Large = Thunder. (IMO)

It really depends on the size of the maps you mostly play in. Thunder is rather a long distance weapon whereas Hammer and Smoky are rather medium distance weapons. If you're going for a medium distance weapon, I'd choose Hammer. Smoky is more boring to play with in my opinion and Hammer is a bit stronger with its 3 fast shots that deal massive damage.
