What to buy? Which is better?

I have a simple question... if I fully micro-update a turret m0 it will be automatically m1? or I have to pay again to make it m1?

sorry for my english

i think due to a recent MU update, upgrading all parameters automatically makes it M1 once you reach the desired rank. (Rank of unlock of the turret you wanna buy.)

Is it worth waiting till tanker's day sale @50% off turrets and hulls? I'll get Medic kit/ Refrigerator kit/ Raiden kit or any other kit with m3 Viking. Currently got 125k crystals. M2s are Rail and Wasp.

Hello everyone

I gained some crystals recently and i would like to improve my garage during an ideal sale in the close future (Tankmen Day?)

my main garage is made up of:

Turrets: Isida M3, Freeze M3, Twins M3, Thunder M3, Railgun M3, Shaft M3.

Hulls: Hornet M3, Viking M3, Mammoth M3.

Paints: Urban, Irbis, Inferno, Emerald, Prodigi, Taiga, Needle.

i find twins isida and railgun really useful, but i think freeze and shaft were not smart purchases. i nearly never use them.

as hulls, all of them are working in my hands.

my current budget is 300k and growing.

i would like to get Smoky M3 (actually m2) and Wasp M3 (currently m0)

i already have enough money for them under a 50% sale... do you think i should purchase them, or invest in some other stuff?

another thing i would need might be an endgame HAMMER paint. but i already have a lot of them and i dont want to purchase another.

no issues with micro upgrades, i'm slowly upgrading everything with daily crystal gains.

Two reccommendation for you.

1. Get Rock. It will work amazingly with your Mammy/Twins in Polygon CP.

2. Pour MU's into Inferno. Compre a fully MU'ed Inferno to a fully MU'ed Zeus. It has much the same protection, and is soooooooo much cheaper.

Inferno = 50 Firebird, 50 Freeze, 23 Twins       $$$ = 636,002     (base cost only, not including speed ups)

Zeus    = 50 Firebird, 50 Freeze, 50 Smoky     $$$ = 1,000,002   (base cost only, not including speed ups)

If you fully MU a turret or hull, as soon as you reach the required rank the next M automatically unlocks for you. However, you are talking about MU'ing a M0! Just buy the M1; it is much cheaper than MU'ing the M0.

Since no one has yet to answer my question, I'll answer it myself according to my experience.

A stock Hunter M1 is both faster and than a stock Viking M1; however, I already micro-upgraded a few parameters of my own Viking M1 so that it has more health than a stock Hunter M1.  Moreover, having to micro upgrade one more hull would be costly.  Nonetheless, Hunter M2 is only three ranks away, and it's balanced stats reign supreme over my Viking M1.  Still, I never really had a taste for Hunter's design...maybe I'll adjust... I may buy Hunter as Viking's substitute, but it is a bit redundant for me to own a faster version of Hunter...so I'll pass if buying Hunter is not worth it.

Tundra is a great paint against the mascot turrets of Starseries: the legendary Railgun and the versatile Smoky.  Still, as other experienced players have said, better paints await in higher ranks, especially at the Major level.  In the meantime, I predict that Smoky usage from Third Lt. onwards (no M2 until Colonel) will decline significantly while Railgun will not (M2 at 1st Lt.).  While tanking Rail shots would be appreciable, I will still be KO'd by other prominent threats (Hammer, Rico, Thunder, and Twins to name some); in fact, in my experience, drugged Thunders and Hammers, for instance, are more intimidating than drugged Rails (dat long reload time).  So, I'll pass that paint...

Freeze is a good new weapon for me to try; it functions similarly to Firebird, so I, as a Firebird user, will not have difficulty fitting in with Freeze; moreover, Freeze's special freezing effect is great for defense and offense (flag sitting and flag pursuits)  Of course, Freeze has been altered recently, but as long as I stay on my target, Freeze won't disappoint.  I'll definitely buy it...unless Isida wins me over...

Isida, on the other hand, is great turret designed for teams; healing teammates and sucking opponents' dry surely yields plenty of experience.  It's a close range weapon, so I have an idea of how to operate it (of course, I still have to get used to Isida's targeting mechanics that don't blow fire or frost in your opponent's face).  Freeze costs 256,100 crystals to fully upgrade while Isida costs 255,300 crystals...I'll buy it (better experience harvester and a battle-ready medic) unless Freeze wins me over (just like Firebird, but better suited for ambushing unwary opponents)...

Verdict: Get the Siberian Kit?  Hunter I don't know; plus, I want a different paint!  So...no go for the kit :(.

P.S.  If you guys wish to provide advice on my problem, refer to my earlier post: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=275750&page=1081&do=findComment&comment=4866791

thank you for your suggestions! i'm already micro-upgrading a lot my main paints (emerald, inferno), and i wont buy Zeus any time soon. i dont feel the need for it. are you sure rock is worth it for me? i already use micro-upgraded emerald and taiga for isida and twins, and i find thunders particulary EXTREMELY annoying. some paints i would like to buy later in my career would be Clay, Lumberjack and Africa, for their total coverage at long, close and medium ranges. africa in particular for the new weapons protection that i currently lack.

Two great kits at next rank, I can't decide what to get! Fire m1,Rico m2, Hunter m0.

Vote up for Prometheus.

vote down for Redneck.

Argh, long way to go and can't decide! :(

(Both mostly played in small to medium maps anyways)

Guys, is Boreas worth to buy (Freeze,Wasp m3 + Taiga) ? :D

Pls answer!

ya it is worth it, if u dont like that combo then u can use freeze with viking and wasp in bp format and even in parkour , taiga looks kind a classy and gives great protection in smaller maps like polygon and noise.

I currently have m2 isida and m2 hornet. Should I buy m2 firebird (as soon as I rank up) or should I buy m2 thunder now? Or maybe m2 railgun, but from what I've heard, it's not worth the crys.

If your going to be playing XP/BP and all that in the future, then you should upgrade railgun on the sale in September. Its not like you get a 50% sale very often in tanki so my suggestion for you is to upgrade whatever you like and play with the most and to save your crystals for the sale in September

Hello guys.

Seeing that my latest question in husto's "What to buy? Which is better?" topic remains unanswered by anyone other than myself, I decided to make this topic...

Moving on, I want to buy a new turret, perhaps Freeze or Isida; aside from having Smoky M1 and Firebird M1, I also have Hornet M1 and Viking M1.  Moreover, while I play team battles (and an occasional deathmatch) in many different maps like Kolhoz and Island, I mostly play maps well suited for medium-ranged gameplay, including the following:
Kungur

Noise

Rio

Serpuhov

Brest

Aleksandrof

Esplanade

Wolfenstein

Edinburgh

I thought about buying the Siberian Kit, but eventually declined; Tundra's a nice paint, but not the one I need for medium-ranged gameplay, and as great as Hunter is for team battles, I considered it redundant to have a faster version of Viking with less health (I MU'd my Viking up to 180+ HP).

So now, which turret would suit me better for the long walk into higher ranks:  Freeze or Isida?  Or perhaps I need to get a different turret?

What shod I get Isida m2 or railgun m2 I play in all kind of maps big or small.

Depends on your playing style. If you play at short ranges or attack on enemy base with a group of teammates, isida will be best.

If you are looking forward to XP battles and or play at longer ranges, go for railgun.

As an Isida user, I'd rather prefer you get Isida. Although the recent updates have jacked up the cone range, you'll get XP for healing and attacking. I have m2 of it and I have a blast playing with it. Isida's a pretty good turret for the medium-range turrets category.

I used to use Freeze ALOT before I got m2 isida. Mine's M1 and I'd love to freeze the enemies and do 2-3 hit KO's, Freeze'd be really good if you usually defend the flag and freeze the flag holder, which is one of the great aspects of Freeze :P Freeze is EXTREMELY good when used with drugs.

Smoky'd be really good if you really like playing with long range turrets. Critical damage is one of the advantages and a great aspect for Smoky. Really good at M2-M3 modification, I have a hard time beating them with my M2 Isida. :P I'd rather use double armor if they use double power and use double power if they use double armor. The critical chance of M2 and M3 Smoky are really good and its damage alone is EXTREMELY good! Although I don't use Smoky that much and mine's M1, this is my experience whenever I'd encounter a Smoky as an enemy or as a teammate.

Ahh, yes, Firebird, love that turret, although the after-burn damage really makes me mad especially when I kill them yet I die. :P M2 Firebird-M3 Firebird is king, to be honest. Can do loads of damage and the after-burn damage RAPIDLY increases. Even if you use double armor and yet you kill him, there's always a chance you'd die, so the best thing to do is use a heal kit to be safe from the after-burn damage. Preferably, I'd prefer Firebird if you really want to have the advantage of the after-burn damage and get some kills even if you die.

However, as you rank-up battles become more competitive, more challenging and more needs of better equipment, especially M2-M3's, at my rank, if you use m1 and you play so bad, they'll just tell you to get out and call you "noob". So, its best if you start to make your own decisions and not ask other people too frequently, ask them when you're confused of getting some great m2's and stuff. Although you are confused between the two great and favorite turrets, Isida and Freeze.

P.S About that Siberian Kit, the Tundra paint is EXTREMELY good for some Railgun protection. A M2 Railgun with tundra'd be a 3 shot even if you have M2 Railgun. The 10% Smoky protection is pretty handy especially if you encounter a drugging Smoky M1 or Smoky M2, can cause alot of damage. I never know what the Siberian Kit contains besides the Tundra paint as you said above. Siberian Kit may be good if it has some M2 or something. :P But of course, its upto you of what to get.

Hope this helps. :)
