It would ruin the tanki economy cause say someone buys a m3 doesn't like it they could sell it back no one would buy like anything. Tanki wants us to buy everything in the game paints kit hulls and all turrets and micro upgrade them so we have to buy crystals. But I don't know alot about stuff like that try contacting pm.ing semyon or ask in "problems and solutions"

DONT GET DICTATOR!!!! EVER!!!!! It only works in Polygon, and even there can be showed up by a Viking or Titan.

 

Paints and Vulcan are much more important and valuable for dictator. Don't spoil your plans on a noob hull like dictator :)

The only thing dictator is good for is taking goldboxes, and gismos dontbneed goldboxes so dictator would not be best choice. I also only works in small maps . Id get the kit unless your a gold hunter

I was am planning to get Hammer m3, but I want to try new turrets. It gets boring using the same stuff all the time, so I may not upgrade from m2 to m3. (It's also very expensive). 

 

Turrets that are on my list to buy, and are currently m0 or m1, are Rail m0 and Thunder m1.

If you don't want Smoky, then the best guess I have for you is Thunder. You said you were worried about Thunder's damage - you shouldn't, cause Thunder's reload is more of the problem. For a large map, Thunder is actually decent in Kungur, I've tried using it and it is definitely usable. In other maps like Monte Carlo, Smoky prob isn't your best bet, but if you choose Thunder, keep in mind that its sucky without MUs.
 
Honestly if I were you I would keep playing with your current M2s and just keep saving. You could get an early M3 (Thunder, Isida etc) and/or a early M3 paint (Inferno Emerald)

 

btw when I said "other maps like Monte Carlo, Smoky prob isn't your best bet" I meant to say Thunder not Smoky.
 
Anyways I'm pretty sure the last time I used Rail was when I was a Colonel or something. As far as I can remember, it was an average upgrade from M1. I feel like nowadays users only buy Rail with the intention of playing XP. I can't really say much about Rail M2, pretty balanced in respect to other M2s.

If you can make it to Colonel, Smoky. It will last way into the M3 ranks. However, if you can't, I'd save for a good kit. You have M2 Firebird; and you can use Fire/Hornet up until Major General (). Giving you plenty of time to save for a decent M3 kit (e.g.,  Medic and Paladin).

Get hunter m2. It is pretty cheap and it lasts a long time, plenty of enough time to get it m3. I used hunter fire m2 until marshal when I got prometheus kit which made it m3.

I may do that, otherwise I won't buy any hulls until m3s. Good to know it works well, though; thanks.
 

Firstly, how to remove background highlighting from text: Select the text and choose "remove formatting" option beside the BBcode options. ;)
Also, taking your map preferences and current garage into consideration, I think Thunder M2 is your best bet. Might not be better than Smoky M2 but you can definitely attack with it mounted on Hornet M2. Spend time wih Thunder and you can make it your asset by getting the best out of it! :)

Thanks for the tip. I'll probably go for m2 Thunder, I think. Either I won't buy anything else till m3s, or I will get Thunder; it'll keep me going, along with Firebird.

I don't know much about m2s but I hear alot about M2 smoky and that it will last a very long time (and I'm planning on fully MUing my smoky m1 the rest of the way) but yeah I hear that smoky M2 is great and so is m3

Good thing those are my favorite turrets, they all go well with hornet.

Huntsman kit is OP. Try targetting that.

 

What should we get? XP M2 (which I use quite a bit) or Dictator+Twins M1/Ricochet M2.

I'm basically saving for M2 Viking at the moment but I'm still a rank and a half away, anyone got ideas? I use Thunder pretty much as my only weapon (M2). I have Cedar so I don't need any paints for a while. I sort of like Shaft but I find it's only good in 1) team games and 2) certain maps.

Viking is good for Shaft too. Go for it!

Viking M1. Just see my top combo in ratings page. SIMPLY OP! Don't forget to circle the enemies even in Polygon with Viking, it does work although turning radius isn't much.

For M2 hulls (early unlocking), Hornet is good but lacks in health for Poly CP, so your best bet is Hunter M2 maybe.

M1 rail when there are other m uogrades availabl is not the best idea but you can still do xp/bp battles with it, though iv seen many people who only do xp/bp format in normal battles and they have low k/d so i woyld buy thunder because of your high rank unless you want to keep upgrading rail

Paints you could buy, according to preference and your playing style and maps -

1. Tundra
2. Corrosion
3. Vortex
4. Desert

Vortex isn't really extraordinary, same with Corrosion, but they are still handy for small-medium maps like Rio and Monte Carlo. Tundra is useful because Railguns really start cropping up everywhere (and Monte Carlo is full of them). Desert is good as well.

 

But, since you are going to buy Thunder M1, best paint for you will be Cedar! But, sadly it unlocks at WO5.

Urban, Emerald, Taiga, Mars maybe? You already have Rustle so maybe Emerald is irrelevant. I heard Taiga is sucky without heavy MUs, and Urban gets replaced by Rock later on. I've heard mixed reviews about Mars so idk.
