What to buy? Which is better?

Should I buy the Northerner kit right now? I don't think I should, but I can afford it. It'll make me near 100% bankrupt before the upcoming sales, and although I don't have a decent medium/heavy hull or medium/long range turret I think it would be better to just buy only Thunder, which will cost 55k (if there is a 50% sale), leaving me with at minimum 140k (more than that, as it doesn't count the crystals I will earn after right now). Should I just hold onto these crystals for later items (M3s in the far distant future), or possibly a paint?

Again, Northerner kit, Thunder only and save, or a paint? I just remembered that I wanted to buy Cedar, so that costs about 22k, I think.

I've got 195k right now, and will have more by the sales. Please check my profile for more info, or ask me questions. Thanks!

PS:

Are kits usually in place during sales? I can't remember. Also, what sort of kits will replace the others?

No, Northerner kit looks stupid. Wearing Shaft paint is like wearing the Holiday paint - useless, unless you play strictly Serpuhov Rio Monte Carlo etc. Honestly, if I were you, I would continue using your available M2s (Fire Isida Hornet) and simply keep saving. That way you won't have to worry about crystals in the future for the earlier M3s (Isida + Hornet). Also keep in mind you might get personal discounts too. While M2 Smoky is considered a strong M2, keep in mind that you still have M2 Fire (which, btw, can honestly last you up to General. In Poly CP Field Marshal and under I still see lots of Fire M2s). If you want M2 Vik, you could get it when you rank, but I would only get M2 Vik if you don't want M3 Hornet.

TL;DR - Don't buy Northerner unless you're super bored of your current garage. Get a paint at Holidays, and save the rest for M3 Hornet and/or Isida

Do you think M1 Wasp would be a good speed tank upgrade for a Warrant Officer or not? (I usually use M0 hornet.)

If not, then should I chose M1 Ricochet or M1 Isidia?

I would suggest Hornet over Wasp. While Wasp is cheaper, you will have to worry about Rail protection (I'm not sure if this is still a problem at M1). Basically, if you use Wasp, you'll have to use Forester. But If you want speed, I suggest Hornet due to its better balance and it unlocks at your next rank. However, nowadays it seems that more and more short range turrets are being equipped on Viking. So, if you want Isida M1 (or even your Fire M1) you could get Vik M1 for it. Rico is a weapon that requires skill and is good for maps like Noise. I don't recommend Rico; instead, get Twins.

TL;DR - Get M1 Hornet over Wasp for a little extra health. Rico isn't bad but it requires skill. M1 Isida is ok, but if healing teammates is your style of play then I'm not here to judge.

Adding to the above post, Wasp is better for flag-running because of it's higher speed.

Hornet is also harder to control, tending to skid when turning and can be flipped if it takes shots to the sides.

Wasp is more agile, and being able to dodge attacks is useful for running.

However, one M1 Railgun shot usually means instant death. You are also restricted slightly on turrets, short-ranged ones are the norm.

It all comes down to personal preference, I generally prefer Hornet's protection and stability, but I use mostly Viking.

It's not a terrible purchase, but make sure you have an m1 turret first, or plan on getting one shortly after. Take m1 ricochet.

No kits will be avaliable during sale days. Thats why every single kit is avaliable right now, but expires next Wednesday. The sales will begin on Friday (12/25/15) Christmas day and go for 3 days, if it is like the past 3-4 years that is. RANK UP and get viking m2, you will be unstoppable paired with fire m2 for a number of ranks to come. However, getting viking m2 and smoky m2 at your rank would be very OP even if you got stuck with the not so great winter paint. I'd say go for northerner if you don't rank to get viking m2.

I somewhat didnt take you seriously cause of your nickname :P

Liar and decith!, its good, its good! *gollum's voice*

RIcochet is excellent, you just need the skill to kill. PS, if ya don't have cardinal, make sure to get it, since its there, but don't forget to also buy a couple bricks

I think rico is good too, but its not meant to tackle heavy hulls and drug wars.

P.s. look at my profile ;)

Thanks, I'll skip Northerner; I don't like the prospect of having very little crystals anyway. I think I'll still get Thunder M2 and Cedar, as using Firebird in maps like Kungur and Skylark (for missions, especially) often starts trying my patience. I rarely use Isida now, although just that thought alone makes me think I should equip it again sometime. However, Isida is still similar to Firebird in gameplay...

That's why I want Thunder. When it comes to paints, what does everyone think I should get, excluding Cedar if I get Thunder? I probably won't be getting another paint yet anyway, but it's still good to know what's best. Jaguar is my only decent-ish paint, along with In Love, sometimes (I only bought the latter because of a 70% sale, and a lack of paints in my garage in lower ranks).

Ok guys this is my situation... I have m2ed railgun, Rico, and fire and spent over 40 dollars on those and am not satisfied with any of them. :( so I am willing to m2 one more of turret and the choice lies between hammer and smoky. I am wondering which one of the preforms good as a midfielder and defender in medium sized maps with the exception of sandbox. I like Rio and Serpuhov alot but and others but those are my 2 most played maps. In Serpuhov i like to be back at my base as defense and also go under the bridge. Sometimes I go on offensive. Rio i tend to be alot of places except on the enemy's flag pad. Please tell me what yall think is better hammer or smoky.

If you have the cry to get 2 paints, get rustle instead of cedar

I probably could do that, with possibly over 200k before I spend. However, I personally don't want to spend too much on paints at this time, so Cedar is probably enough (it's cheap, etc.).

Since you are not attacking, Smoky would be the much better choice. Hammer has limited range, and also limited shots per reload, so it probably isn't a good mid-fielding weapon. Smoky, however, could be considered one of the best of the M2s, and is very much suited to mid-fielding, and is still able to attack/defend well. If you want another M2, then you should probably take that.

However, I think you should just get used to the M2s you already have. Firebird, in my opinion, is great. As you will be able to buy M3s next rank, you should wait until then to spend your crystals/money. There isn't really any point in buying another M2 just to get rid of it ranks later.

Yes, but Cedar is pretty bad. I strongly suggest Rustle. I've been using it for a long time, and the pandemic of Thunders is yet to come for you. Just wait until you reach brigadier. :)

Smoky definitely!!! It performs well against m3 turrets and hulls and is pretty simple to use.

Alright..  How often do you use your's? Are you sure it is worth it? I'll check the other protections again. All I know is that Cedar's main protection is the Thunder (38%) and a little bit of something else, while Rustle has exactly the same Thunder protection as Cedar with the bonus of more of the other protections. Also, when does Emerald unlock, and should I be getting that in the future? I heard that if you have Rustle, then don't go for Emerald. Thanks for your help :).

PS:

By the way, I joined a later-than-Brig. rank battle just before I posted my earlier post, and there were about four Thunders minimum on the enemy team. There were only 5-7 people per team.

Choose Ricochet over Isida M1. And Hornet M1 better than Wasp, plus you're just one rank away from unlock.

Yeah M1 Wasp is worth the cheap money, but you really need Tundra or MU like 10-15 steps unless you want to one-shot for M1 Rail. Forester doesn't do much.

90 500 crystals.

VS

6As4oVt.png

42 500 crystals.

Okay, so I wasn't quite right. They don't offer 38% protection (it's actually 32%). Also, I thought that Rustle was over 100k, but it is actually about 90k. If there is a 50% discount, then:

  • Cedar costs 21 250,
  • Rustle costs 45 250.

So, pretending I have 200k and spend during a 50%:

Thunder costs 55k, leaving 145k. If I buy Rustle, then I will have about 100k remaining. Taking Cedar instead leaves me with 124k, saving only 24k overall.

I'm now starting to agree with you, as I get protection from annoying short-range turrets along with protection from myself, etc. It's a pity Rustle doesn't have Firebird protection.

Anyway, could I still ask everyone's opinions, and (to Halo) how often is Rustle useful/used in higher ranks? Thanks, again :)!

Honestly just get digital it costs 78k no sale and 35% rail, 13% smoky and 10% shaft what do u want mor? Rail and shaft are the most deadliest turrets and smoky will be one of them in higher ranks of course only with DD. Lol

The Railgun protection is good, but everything else is unnecessary, really. I want one of the above paints because of the Thunder protection. I'm planning on buying Thunder, so to avoid self-damage, I need a Thunder paint.

Save the 24K and buy Cedar. Having that extra 20% against freeze with Rustle is not much, as you will still get frozen , plus when using thunder you should not be getting that close to short range freezes anyway, you'll lose that fight, 20% or not. Both do a little against Isida (another short range w), and at least the 5% Smoky with Cedar will help at times in ranged battles, which is what you should be doing with Thunder anyway.
