What to buy? Which is better?

I plan on buying M3 Isida on the Valentine's day sale (if there is one and if it's a decent enough discount) but if not, I will wait for and hope that Tanki B-day sales are 50%. Then I need help deciding which is a better turret to buy: M3 Vulcan, or M3 Ricochet. Both are currently M0 in my garage so I would get the most value out of those. I want M3 Vulcan because it is good in Polygon CP and Noise CTF, but I want M3 Ricochet because I need it to join a friend's Ricochet Club, and it is good in Noise CTF and sometimes in parkour, and sometimes because it is dominating the battlefield.

 

Yet, I want M3 Vulcan because it is cheaper...

 

Help pls  :unsure:

 

Anyone's advice is welcome, though I prefer players with one or both turrets to tell me their experiences and pros and cons of those turrets and where and when they are best used.

If you want Vulcan M3 I'd recommend investing in a Mammoth.

I don't really know about Isida, but I know M0 is fun enough.

Rico is like a jack-of-all-trades, its can be used everywhere.

Vulcan... idk... you can overheat with it unless you got a good anti-firebird paint...

I really think you should get Vulcan first because Needle will really hurt your Smoky AND Ricochet, Clay ruins your Thunder AND Ricochet, and Nano means RIP Rico AND Hammer.

Rico(Based on my experience)

Notes: Beast on Double power. Not great with DA alone. Best used on a medium hull, Hornet for large maps if you really want the speed, and heavy hulls on a small map. I think you should get

Positives:

I love my M3 Rico because it's got 1 of the best DPS stats WITH decent range and bouncing shots as well! It's really strong. I only have a few MUs  but any hull except a Mammoth, and sometimes a Titan, goes down in a clip. Most Hornet's go down in 5 shots (less than 2.5 secs).              

Rico is a jack of all trades, as people have said, so it can do well anywhere. Got a Serpuhov/Kungurr/Lost Temple infested with Prodigi, Picasso, even Jade? nah who am i kidding jade lol Get Rico and sneak around and ambush enemies with low/no protection against you. If you must, fire shots at  the decent range you have, as it's not that bad. Stuck in Island/Arena, maybe Noise filled with Inferno/Zeus/Irbis/Lumberjack? Ricochet has high enough DPS to be a danger on small and tiny even against the close range experts, whilst not losing much damage to protection paints.

Impact force: Hit corners, cause rage. Not super-easy to do tho.

 

Negatives:

Being a jack of all trades isn't always a good thing. It means that although you are never the worst turret in a certain situation, you are rarely the best. Need to shoot halfway across Barda? Rail or Thunder is better, as your damage diminises quickly with range. Mammoth with double armour got your flag on a Ping Pong? Smoky, Freeze, Firebird and Twins are more useful since your clip will run out very quickly with enemies to shoot at all the time and having to shoot like a Smoky makes your damage tiny.

Paints: Ricochet paints at the highest rank are popular, and I don't just mean the Rico-slayer Clay. Out of all the weapons, Ricochet seems to be one of the most affected by any decent protection. People will bring Needle, Nano, Savannah, Hive and even the surprisingly effective Spark and Dragon to diminish your power. I'd say good Vulcan protection is less common.

So I may be able to get 2 things. The options are:

- BP (Rail and Wasp)

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Now it all comes down to how much crystals I can earn and if it enough to buy my choice.

 

It seems that Ricochet is decent in all maps, but the main downside is the many common paints with Ricochet protection.

 

Vulcan seems to be the better choice just because Vulcan protection paints aren't that common and it's cheaper and better suited in defense.

Here's the dilemma:

 

1: Get Tornado kit when I get the crystals (at either 2nd or 3rd lieutenant), then get Smoky M2 at it's unlock rank.

Pros: XP combo, get supplies sooner, spark paint

Cons: Long wait for Smoky M2, No M2 heavy hull

 

2: Just keep saving and fighting with Hornet-Rail M1 until second lieutenant, then buy Hornet M2, then get Atlas kit at captain.

Pros: Smoky M2 early, Loam paint, Titan M2

Cons: Longer wait for supply kit, being underequipped from 3rd lieutenant to captain and possibly major

Any more opinions?

Play Polygon CP, use some DP and it'll be easy to get that amount. Another thing if you play with higher ranked players then you then the exp-Crystal ratio will be a bit better but higher rank=better equipment+more drugging so beware.

2 things. 

1. Not the place to promote your videos. There are plenty of topics for that.
2. You might wanna get TankViewer for the front cover. Using the Wiki images and slapping them on top of each other doesn't work as they are taken at different angles

But you are right, BP is a lot better on paper, but without a skilled user it becomes nothing

5. I am not really a fan, but I am thinking about BP equipment(hornet+rail m3) someday. Anyone have some good reasons for doing this? does it give good crystals/experience?

 

I will buy them in the order I numbered them, any tips or other recommendations?

I would always go for a good hull first, cause m2 viking is a good improvement of m1, and you can use it everywhere.

Loam is a nice paint, but since you already have storm, and for long range battles ( since you use vulcan ) you won't need firebird protection  so I would recommend to buy viking m2 first :)

The additional health of a M2 Titan would suit a vulcan well..

Better paint for Isida hornet/Viking large maps?

Tundra or sandstone

I'm leaning sandstone (with plenty MU 's of course).

How many MU on the sandstone so I'm (hornet m3) not a two shot for rail but 3.

I'm fine with more expensive paints too, just no MU then. Open for suggestions.

Hi guys. I currently have:

-Guns: M2 Thunder, M2 Railgun, M1 Firebird, M1 Freeze, and M1 Smoky

-Tanks: M2 Hornet, M1 Viking, M1 Wasp, M1 Mammoth, and M1 Titan

-I have 38,312 crystals now, I have used $40 in the past to buy crystals, and right now I have the option to use $20 to buy crys, when i have a double cry card of course  :P

-The paints that have ANY protections, that I own, are: Dragon, Lead, Safari, Lava, Metallic, Forester, Swamp, Marine, and Flora, but my best paint now is Corrosion, which has 2/8 upgrades.

-And I need 5590 more xp to lvl up.

So my question is: What should I save for, what should I upgrade? I mainly use my M2 Rail with M2 Hornet, and I use M2 Thunder sometimes with my M2 Hornet when I get bored of using Railgun, and I use my Viking m1 with Thunder, but rarely. I always use my paint corrosion...People say there is not much of a difference between M2 thunder and M3 so I think I'll get M3 Railgun and M3 Hornet BEFORE I even think about upgrading Thunder...any thoughts?
