I have WO5 (BorussiaDortmund_BVB) and I bought Siberian at WO3 (I think, I don't remember exactly). It is a great kit, although I don't use Tundra much. While M2 Freeze isn't strong in general, it's a good starter M2. Hunter is also good, especially cause it has more health and speed than M1 Viking. Even if you already have M1 Viking, Getting M1 Hunter isn't bad (I had M1 Vik too). Based on what you said, don't get Fuji. You can get M1 Twins at next rank, Fighter is only OP since it unlocks early. That leaves Siberian or Predator. If you plan on getting Isida M2, don't get Siberian, since M2 Freeze and M2 Isida are both starter M2s (so its redundant to get them both imo).

 

So, either Predator or Siberian. I say Siberian, since you get a M2 and its only 13k cheaper (although I got Siberian for 50k cause of sales). But predator seems to be not a bad option, since I haven't been seeing any Cedars recently.

- isida m1 + viking m1 (i HAVEN'T use vikings NOR isida at all)

- smokey m1 + viking m1 (personally as a railgun user, i dread smokey user the most, so thats my ONLY motive behind getting smokey)

- if not the above then, your recomendation

 

My brief background - i use wasp m1+rail and i LOVED it. Am definitely getting rail m1 after this rank, and altogh i love wasp+rail combo, at WO3 wasp m1 is a ONE SHOT kill for rail m1, hence, am planning to get vikings.

You can easily buy forester paint which costs around 100 crystals only to avoid the one shot death of your wasp.

Buy only rail m1, do not buy other m1's . Stay with your current combo until m2's so you can have enough crystals for them.

If you want to try isida, you can buy it m2 at third lieutenant and its pretty cheap. You only have 4 more ranks to go

It is troublesome that Wasp M2 unlocks very late, at , so this kit does really, really pay off for Wasp/Rail players.

The paint alone is a pure lifesaver from Rail and Smoky, and usefull up to the highest ranks.

Don't upgrade m0's m1's and m2's

 

If you microupgrade, you will have 0 crystals throughout your m1 ranks and you will not be able to buy that kit.

 

Your plan should be buying rail m1 ,forester and then save for mosquito kit.

Little guide on microupgrades :P

 

As soon as you purchase M2, all you microupgrades on M1 are lost of course.

So you should upgrade only stuff,

• that use almost always
• only if those upgrade really make a difference on the battlefield

lets get into details:

 

 

1. Usage period:

Your Wasp M1 will be your partner from to , so for the next 235.000 experience points (see >rank tables, Mosquito kit is rank =330.000exp).

This are roughly 235 hours of gameplay = a loong time => this would be ok.

 

 

2. Costs / Benefits?

2.1) You can always purchase the first microupgrade, as it is cheap.

 

2.2) Note: Health = survivael time

The whole health thing of your hull serves only one reason: to extent the time you survive, in order to escape or plant another shot and kill your enemy. If the upgraded health can not give you one of those advantages, it is useless.

Example: If you can extend your health/paint on a Titan, so that your enemy firebird has reload-problems before you die, and you can use this time to finish him off, then it was usefull.

With this in mind lets look at the threats:

 

2.3) Look at main Threats to find Benefits:

Before you think about more upgrades, analyse the threats that you oppose on the battlefield and think of how much health would make a change?

The turrets a protection would be usefull for your Wasp are

• Thunder (kills you 2shot,  3.12seconds)
• Hammer (kills you 2shot, 2.14seconds)
• Rail (should not kill you 1shot, 0 secods = instant kill)
• all other turrets will usually kill your Wasp/Rail combo, no matter if you have 20hp more or less without you beeing able to plant another shot at them.

  For an instance Vulcan, Twins and Smoky will make you crash into obstacles and mess your aim.. so you are dead if you are too close in their line of fire. Fire, Freeze and Isida will tear you down before you manage to reload and place a second shot at them.. so you can only make 1 shot if they suprise you. If you attack them, plan your attack so you get the chance for a second shot (use cover or distance or both) - but this works without microupgrades as well).

   

Get into the wikipages of those identified turrets, read their damage, try to find out how much health your Wasp M1 would need to survive - and if it makes a change?

• Thunder M1 damage = 44..70, usually around 65. With some MUs around 70. To survive 2 shots you need a health around 140. It will grant you +3.12sec escape time.
• Hammer M1 damage = 61,5. To survive two shots you need a health of min. 123. If he is a little MUd, you need around 130. Will grant you +2.14 seconds escape time.
• Rail M1 damage = around 95 in average, with some MUs around 100. You can already survive this with the paint you've got.. but sometimes you will die.
• Rail M2 damage = around 110 in average, with some MUs around 115. Take off -11% for your paint = around 105 damage points needed for an average hit (means if you are at 105hp health, it will kill you in 50% of all cases)

 

2.4 Costs for Benefits:

Then see >here for micrpupgrades of Wasp M1, to see what you get whats the price for each step ("step cost").

So there you see, the frist upgrades are usually cheap. Then.. it gets expensive.

You can sum up the stepcosts to reach each scenario:

• Thunder M1 > need health around 140 > forget it, too expensive
• Hammer M1 > need health around 130 > forget it, too expensive
• Rail M1 damage > a little upgrade may help.. but not very much. Observe how it works on the battlefield.
• Rail M2 damage > too expensive as well

3 Decision:

So over all the upgrades will only help you with the Rail M1. There is _nothing_ else you can expect from upgrading your wasp.

For most other turrets your tactics and driving will decide about who survives, and not the health of your wasp/rail combo.

In your case I would not upgrade it, but save the crystals.. if you have some in spare and face later hard times against Rail M1, then you maybe give a little in later on.. or think about a paint upgrade.

 

 

 

My wasp is at an M1 at Step MU10, it has 103.6 points health.. it protects me well from Rail M1 but some Rail M2s can 1shot me.

I purchased those microupgrades during a sale and mainly for handling reasons.. and as I know I will have enough in time to get mosquito.

I would recommend Viking m2 over dictator m2, Imo it's clearly better, and Viking is at its best at m2. For m3 get dictator for sure tho!

Iron days has been -25% for the past 2 years (Feb 20). If you use Thunder, Thunder prot is essentially a must. Thus, I recommend Emerald. Get Irbis if you plan on using Fire/Vik, but I would go for Emerald if I were you. Ditch any paints under Brigadier
