What to buy? Which is better?

Hey guys,

 

Im stuck between 3 kits; Northerner (Smoky m2, viking m2 and Winter), Minotaur (Viking m2, Twins m2 and Rhino) and Atlas (Titan m2, Smoky m2 and Loam).

I generally play in maps like polygon, noise, rio and sometimes to have a bit of fun I play on Serpuhov and Kungur. So which kit is most suitable?

 

I myself feel that I like the accuracy and consistency of Smoky over Twins and Thunder just isn't my preference since I don't drug much and attack quite often.

 

Now over to hulls, Titan is a beast at m2. No explanation needed. Viking is as well, no explanation needed. However, Viking is more versatile than titan and better suited to attack than def. Although titan is designed for camping at a base and def. Alternatively, it can be used for attack but on small maps.

 

Finally for paints, on maps like and especially polygon, Firebirds are very common which makes Loam most worth. While with Rhino I rarely see a map filled with hammers or vulcans. Winter is literally banter, since I rarely see shafts and I have enough experience to counter them. xD

My opinion on this: get atlas kit.

The main advantages of getting atlas kit over northerner is the usefullness of the paint and hull. m2 viking is the more versatile of the two, but given the fact that you play on medium to small maps, titan definitely suit the condition of the maps better. Furthermore, I can personally say that you don't have to drug much to play well on smoky m2. Its a whole new level on m2 and as a user I can say you can easily get a d/l of at least 1.5 or 2 on these maps.

Loam vs Winter: the firebird protection on the loam paint works really well in small maps, especially when most players use fire, and the smaller protection against freeze, ricochet and thunder is perfect for these maps. Winter on the other hand, provides mainly protection against thunder and shaft, of which although thunder is partially useful, we don't see much shaft action in smaller maps.

Here's the catch though, minotaur kit has a higher dps.

Minotaur kit vs Atlas kit: Minotaur has a more versatile hull like i said just now, and m2 twins has more damage per second. Out of the times I may vs against minotaur kit on 1v1 or a team battle, I die close to 50% of the time, due to the quicker firing rate on the twins. Do note that I was using m2 titan and he was using viking on the other hand. On the other hand, loam imo is more useful than rhino thanks to the relevance of the protection loam offers to the type of map you are using. Rhino protects well on vulcan and hammer, but you don't really see much of vulcan in these ranks.

Overall, its great for those who don't drug, don't wanna die too much, and have a decent paint. Downside is the versatility of the hull and playing on larger maps where smoky doesn't score well :p

For this 25% sale should I get:

M3 Freeze

 

 

The red suit has okay protections 30 from isida, 40 from vulcan, and I do not have protection from either atm. But at my rank there are not many vulcans. The paint will also look awesome in XP and it is limted.

 

Tagia is a good paint that has protection from a lot of stuff, but I could get it at anytime and it is pretty expensive.

 

M3 freeze I hear is really bad, but it looks cool and might be more fun to use than a paint. I already have 6 m3s though and plan to get a lot of short range weapons on the bday sale. I do not really thing that m3 freeze is that good, but I feel like a turret is better than a paint.

 

What do you guys think I should get?

I am leaning towards the red suit.

You should for sure get the Red Suit. 1: it's out for limited amount of time. 2: It has wonderful protections and 3: It's the best option because your already buying short range turrets during Tanki b-day and looks Badass!!! :P

Hey siddu, welcome to the forum! Here is my opinion:

1: Minotaur. Twins M2 is very OP, it can even beat,Smoky on a 1v1.

2: Atlas. Smoky M2's awesomeness + heavy hull + fire protection paint = serious butt-kickery.

3: Firewall. M2 Fire is also OP, like Smoky and Twins. Hunter and Hohloma are great as well.

4: Northerner. Smoky is great, and Viking is great, but a heavy hull is usually better on medium-small maps, and Winter is only good on big maps.

5: Boar. Ricochet is weakest at M2, and Dictator is also pretty wimpy. Sandstone is good, but not amazing. This kit is EXTREMELY OP for like 2-3 ranks, than it is outclassed by the better M2's and kits.

 

One more thing. Don't call me a 'drugger' and then go using repair kits and other supplies. It makes you look like hypocrite. Cheers! :D

Freeze M3 isn't bad at all. Well, not if you play mostly in Polygon CP. But, since you already have 6 m3s, it's kinda useless to buy another m3, so I think you should buy a paint or MU one combo really hard in the MU sales.

Wait for May day sales. Cheapest m3s are Isida and Thunder, they depends on your playing style. I advice to save up for a m3 kit or May day sales :)
