I would save up and get to a higher rank, so you can straight away get M2 mammoth or even wasp. If you really can't wait, I would get mammoth and camp in base.  B)

They could create some more ranks as well, this would set appart the M3s from the M4s in the battles.. but at the moment they do nothing :p

Anyone got a good MU strategy they're willing to share? Or maybe something publicly listed somewhere? I'm kinda lazy to work one out rt now.

The point of more ranks is not to make it harder.

 

the point of ranks is to have a mechansim that locks equipment upgrades to experience and playing time.

The point of battle rank limit ranges is to set [low equipment/low skilled tankers] away from [high equipment/high skilled tankers].

Very usefull stuff.

 

But from the moment on you reach Gismo, you purchase your Rico M3, and get wrecked by all those M4s.

And you have to play soooooooo long, until you can have a single M4 on your own.

Therefore more ranks would be usefull: to set the M2/M3 gismos apart from full-M4s-gismos.

 

This can also not be a commercial issue, as the step from M3->M4 costs about 70USD real money (far away from the usual small spendings). But ok... I got offtopic here ;)

1) Get nothing until captain, then buy Atlas, then buy Hornet M3

OR

2) Buy Railgun M2 at first lieutenant, then buy Huntsman

I love Hornet, but enjoy Titan too. I like Smoky more than my profile indicates, it is my favorite weapon. It just isn't that good at M0, and is short-lived at M1. I prefer Ricochet to Railgun, but I'm slightly more fond of my Railgun than my Isida. I have about 30k right now, and I can probably get 150k by captain.

  

Any particular reason? Format battles look fun, but XP just isn't as effective in normal battles as other combos. Normal battles are my main concern.

Will Isida M2 last me all the way to captain?

Only like a rank between them so get Tornado. I have also been told XP battles help with ranking up quickly and getting your crystals up
