What to buy? Which is better?

Large-ish post incoming. Gonna try to answer all the questions I haven’t answered since yesterday.

 

So big question my favorite guns have to be thunder smokey mostly. I love hunter and might decide to get dicatator for my semi heavy hull. whats a good kit for me? I love polygon cp and noise ctf mostly

Also, i am planning on m2 smokey for may sale then focusing on an m3 kit or a good paint

I’m not sure if saving for a kit will be the best for you, unless you currently have a good amount of crystals saved up (e.g. 200k at the least). But since you asked, I think Jackhammer will be a nice kit. I’ve heard it dominates early M3 Poly CP battles and I’m sure you’ll love Hammer M3 (since Hammer M2 is your current most played turret). But you also said you like Thunder and Smoky. So really, you could get any kit that has those turrets (Bulldozer, Raiden, Paladin, Guardian). But buying a kit means that you might have to skip Smoky M2.

 

If you don’t choose to get a kit, getting Smoky M2 is a great option. Will last you into the early M3 ranks. But moreover, you definitely need a paint. You currently have M1 paints only - I’m not sure which paint would be good for you, since saving crystals should be your priority. You can always get Storm for now (Fire M2 is very strong) and depending on what turrets annoy you, you can pick a paint later on. If you decide to get an early M3 paint, I suggest Emerald - a must-have for Thunder users and the paint is very reliable in Poly CP. 10% Rail is also surprisingly helpful - will save your ass in the strangest situations.

 

A third option is to get Smoky M2 and save for Paladin. Not sure how obtainable this will be but I think it is definitely possible. You might be getting it at but it will be worth it.

 

TL;DR - If you want a kit, skip Smoky M2 and go for Jackhammer. If you don’t plan on getting a kit, go for Smoky M2 and then a paint like Emerald. Your third option (which might be hard to do) is to get Smoky M2 and save for Paladin.

 

Need help for this account 8672 crystals right now and will I be able to get anything on sales and what to aim for?

Save for Isida M2 and then Hornet M2 after. It’s one of the most inexpensive M2/M2 combos and works quite well.

 

I just got Fighter and I have just over 9k left (wanted to get it at the May sales but then they messed up the kit changes).

Should I get the Storm paint or should I stick with Desert? My other paints with protection are Mary, Swamp and Forester...

Twins M1 is super OP for your rank, so you are already well off. What I recommend for you to do is to get Viking M1 or Titan M1 and play in Poly CP and under. You will not regret this - playing with Twins M1 for 6-7 ranks might sound boring, but when you’re able to purchase, say, Minotaur at , you’ll be ahead of others and have a significant advantage in battles. Product kits are always the way to go.

 

You asked about Desert - I have it on another one of my accounts. Rico protection isn’t very necessary (Rico M1 is slightly underpowered). Go with Storm. 9k crystals, and 20% Fire is amazing… SUPER helpful.

 

Then buy it .. Storm is a good one .. However , if you are on tight crystals (which you will be not :ph34r: ) then dont go for it :)

Dude. 9k for Storm is 100% worth the investment. Fire is too OP and 20% Fire will definitely help you. Even on my alt, as a Fire M2 user Storm paint is annoying to see.

 

Should I consider Hornet M3 to keep me going until Prometheus? Or maybe an M3 turret (or different hull) on its own? Hopefully some good sales appear; I might snag something along the way.

Prometheus unlocks at . Mammoth M2 will definitely last you to that rank, and even Viking M2 will work until that rank too. I used the Bulldozer combo from to and it worked fine (played 95% Poly CP). Idk about getting Hornet M3 though - I bought Hornet M3 for XP but I only use Thunder/Hornet mostly for collecting supply boxes on large maps (for mission). But practically speaking, in general you’re better off with Thunder/Viking even in larger maps.

 

So, imo I wouldn’t get Hornet M3. If you know it won’t affect your plans of getting Prometheus at Marshal (e.g. if you buy crystals), I guess you could get it. But Viking/Mammoth M2 will last you. And I wouldn’t get another M3 turret before Marshal. All the turrets that unlock before are all kinda weak (even stock M3 Rail is).

 

So if I can't buy Minotaur kit at lieutenant colonel, my other idea is Bulldozer kit. Thunder M3 and Emerald are awesome, but i don't really like Mammoth, I prefer Viking. I think i can't reach Brigadier with M1 twins and M1 dictator, where i can buy Raiden kit.

Imo your current situation is kinda iffy. I suggest you go for a kit that has a M3 in it (so Raiden or Bulldozer or some other Viking M3 kit). Getting Minotaur (M2/M2) means that you’ll have to get a M3 sometime.

 

Hammer m4 is not as good as I thought it would be... It takes all 3 shots (or more depending on range and your aim), to kill a m4 Viking (the most common hull). Do you think it's worth buying and m4ing it?

From what I’ve seen on YouTube, Hammer is great in drugwars cause it’s so good at flipping tanks xD

 

should i buy stinger kit when it comes back?

or will it slow down my savings for atlas kit?

Go with a higher end M2/M2 kit (Firewall, Minotaur, Atlas, etc). Stinger is good but Atlas, Minotaur etc are just simply much, much better. And Twins/Titan M1 is a strong combo; it will last you until / until you get Atlas/Minotaur or whatever.

 

Also, I think Stinger won’t suit you. You’re using Twins/Titan currently, which is fantastic for keeping a good D/L. Isida is not made for this.

Ok first - go with Titan. Mammoth is super slow, especially at M1. Buying Titan during a sale won’t mess up any of your plans, don’t worry ;)

Fighter is already wayyy more OP than Predator, you don't need predator. Just directly save for Minotaur.

Predator is still good, imo it might actually be better cause 1) it has Hunter M1, one of the top M1 hulls and 2) Thunder M1 is actually not that bad (about equal to Twins M1 in strength). The number of Cedar/Rustles has definitely died down within the past year so Thunder at M1/M2 is more relevant (Although the amount of Emeralds has definitely gone up, thanks to Bulldozer and Raiden)

Basically this is northerner vs. atlas

 

1- I mostly play on small maps like Polygon CP/DM and Noise CTF. 

2- I usually play midfield or attacking, but really don't mind a change. (That's what keeps gameplay interesting for me is change)

3- The medium maps I do occasionally play in are always TDM/CTF

4-  I'm really leaning towards Atlas because of paint, but would like to hear your thoughts.

 

P.S. I really don't mind change. That's why I will not play with m2 twins or firebird; I have already played them.

Atlas definitely. Both Titan and Smoky are strong M2's and will last you to the mid m3 ranks

Fire M3 and Hornet M3 together; how well would that do in battles? I've used the combo a lot throughout ranks, so I was wondering if it is any good at M3? It works fine at M2, even at M1.

 

So, is it worth buying M3 Hornet to fit with Firebird M3 (and other future turrets)? I know I'll have Hunter, but depending on the map, speed is better.
